This shop has been my go to place for performing my smog inspection for many years. On my recent visit I found out they no longer do smog which is sad because not all shops are trusted for getting your smog check issues fixed.

My car was overheating so I took it to Midas in Daly City. Found out it was my head gasket. They were going to charge me $9000 to have it repaired but the gentleman who was working was kind enough to suggest that there are other shops who specialize in head gaskets and probably would charge only 50/75% which would save me money. I Uber'd home googled auto shops that handle head gaskets and came across Acutech Autos in South San Francisco. It read one of the Best Top Ten. I called and spoke with Jacky. He was friendly over the phone as he is in person. I also appreciate the fact how he explained everything to me so I understand what was being fixed and what happened to my engine. From the time I had my car towed there and picked up.... Jacky followed up and made sure I was aware of everything going on with my car, from over the phone and in person, showing me the parts that were damaged in the engine, everything to help me know exactly what they have to do to fix it. I never had anyone who really pays a lot of attention to his clients and Jacky did. (I think that's great). I felt his understanding of my ordeal which he was amazing in doing everything by keeping me posted and helping have time to get my money together without worrying about extra charges. Yes the cost was definitely way cheaper than Midas (glad that guy suggested for me to look than trying to take my $$$)I was also introduced to his Jacky's boss when I picked up my car. He too had a friendly smile, which normally they don't have time to greet their customers but he did and made sure we were happy. The receptionist was cool but hopefully their vibe could rub off on her lol just saying.I can say I'm very happy my engine is as good as brand new and my car is running great! I also have a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty so I'm happy about that as well. I found out they do everything so now I found a place to take my car to be serviced. FYI... in case your insurance won't cover you where you need a rental car be sure to ask Jacky if they have one available. When I told Jacky how much I was paying for a rental car at Enterprise he couldn't believe it which is how I found out about this. I didn't ask which I should've so by the time I found out there vehicles were already being used which they only have 3 (I believe ) but not entirely sure.If you look them up be sure to ask for Jacky and I'm sure he'll be greeting you with a big smile .

I had the spark plugs replaced at this shop. Their mechanics broke the wire for cam position sensor and was poorly reconnect. I had to spend additional $600 to fix the problem. When I contacted them, they refused to admit that they have caused the damage. Never go back again.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

My car was vibrating between 55 70 mph, so I made an appointment online with Acutech and in the online request form I wrote: My car is vibrating, I think my car needs new CV axles. Then when I dropped the car off, I told Acutech about the vibration again and said again: I think my car needs new CV axles. Over the next 10 days, Niki replaced a wheel that he said was bent, a tire, the struts, and the control arms which did NOT eliminate the vibration. Niki/Acutech still had not replaced the CV axles like I had asked them to do.After performing all the repairs listed above (which did NOT fix the vibration issue), only then did Niki finally replace the CV axles like I had initially requested when I made the appointment and dropped my car off 10 days earlier (replacing the CV axles fixed the vibration issue). So, instead of spending ~$1,500 to have the CV axles and control arms replaced like I was expecting, Acutech charged me ~$3,400 for all those additional repairs which didn t fix the vibration issue.Acutech didn t manage my expectations very well. Their communications were unclear, and every time I spoke to them the time, the cost, and the number of repairs kept increasing before Acutech would actually replace the CV axles which finally fixed the vibration issue.I ve spent $4,927.67 at Acutech in the last four months on a 2011 Acura TSX that only has ~100K miles on it.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Went to my appointment on the day that their computers weren t working so they were doing first come first serve. Others who walked in after me were serviced faster. Definitely felt a misogynistic vibe as the guy helping us never spoke/even looked at me and only referenced my partner even though I was right there and it is my car. A simple appointment took forever. Chose this shop because of the great reviews and looked forward to finally finding a good mechanic in the area. Only way we would go again is if my partner takes *my* car without me for that good customer service.

Niki Tan and his staff are excellent! They are the best automotive mechanics I have ever worked with! They are thorough and caring. They keep you informed of the status of your vehicle and they let you know if your vehicle has other issues than the one you hired them to repair. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you Acutech!!

Thank you Acutech for installing my Ultra Racing rear strut bar, I know it wasn't easy or simple, but you guys found a way to do it and it was excellent work.I also love the custom 4 wheel alignment you made for my car, there is now very little to no understeer and the rear end rotates quicker and easier, my car now handles much more neutral in corners, so much more fun to drive than before.I just add throttle after the apex and rear end rotates smoothly and predictably and just work the steering wheel to exit the corners.

Acutech Autos is the best for tune-ups, all services, body work, smog checks, etc. Nicky the owner is the best, he is honest and reliable. Ina the Receptionist is the best. All the mechanics are great. I've been going to Acutech for over 10 years. And I now live over 70 miles away and still take my car there.

Pretty good. Didn't have to wait that long for the Brake and Light inspection. Took 1.5 hours as told. Used coupon and had to do alignment with headlights. Would come again

I took in my 2007 Nissan Murano because the dealership said I had both exhaust manifolds cracked and leaking. Niki and his team discovered that I really only needed one replaced and the other would be fine for a few more years. This saved me a lot of money and I never would have known the difference! I appreciate the honesty.The other thing to mention was that they ran into some issues with the replacement because the old one was so beat up. Niki said it would take another day to complete, but I was going out of town with my family. He and one of his mechanics worked extra hard and got it done in time. Very good service!

I was disappointed with the service this time for the following reasons:1. First I was told that the rear tire can possibly be fixed, but later was told that I needed to pay for the new tire.2. They ran bunch of expensive tests, for which I was charged, but they didn't fix the suspension, instead telling me that I need to take the car to a dealer and deal with Land Rover Company and try to get them agree to pay for the repair.3. The car was in the shop for a week, but when I came to pick it up today the car and paperwork weren't ready and I had to wait about 45 minutes before getting it and leaving.4. The car body was scratched on the rear passenger panel, and I had to point that out to the owner, who agree to take care of it, but said that I would need to bring it back again and leave there for a few days for body fixing and painting, which is terribly inconvenient for me and a big waist of time.

I recently took my SUV to Accutech because it was having power problems when driving. They diagnosed the problem (cost $128.00) due to my alternator no longer working and a bad battery. They quoted me $599.00 for a new alternator and with a new battery and labor over $900.00 to fix my SUV. There was also no deduction for the $128.00 charged for the diagnoses. I was able to purchase a brand new alternator and battery for under $300.00 and had my son in law install it for me. I have taken both of my vehicles there for the past three years for numerous repairs and maintenance and could not believe they were trying to charge me$599.00 for an alternator, so much for being a loyal customer. I will be looking fo a new auto repair shop that will treat me fairly, doesn t try to take advantage of me, and will appreciate my loyalty.

I've been going to Acutech for smogs back when they use to be in different buildings. I'm unsure why they always seem to take so long smogging my car despite being the only customer and having them drive the car into the smog bay. I've smog the same car at different places they can smog it much faster.

Accutech Autos Inc. 57 South Linden, South San Francisco Ca. takes care of all my personal vehicles and my small Fleet of work vehicles, They have done everything for me from simple tune-ups to complete transmission repairs from A to Z, I depend on them greatly to keep my trucks running for business they also take care of my personal vehicles including my daughter's which they make sure is nice and safe for her to drive they are an outstanding company

I used to bring all my car to this guy but my last visit i tought something was not right, he didn't change the parts I paid for it, I ended up fixing somewhere else and for sure the other mechanic showed me the parts and for sure they didn't do the job.
