There's no follow-through, especially if its an insurance claim. I sent my car to be repaired, they kept it for three months. And did not fix the main issue. My car was hit from behind so the gas tank didn't register gas. They replaced the door but not the gas tank sensor. They told the insurance company that the gas tank wasn't an issue from the accident. How would a BODY shop know that without a mechanic? They did not want to pay for the rental that they themselves said they'd have to pay for. Since the repairs weren't done during the 3 months they had it.

Got an estimate, went ahead and booked a service appointment ASAP, which was around 3-4 months. Went to drop off my truck and was almost immediately told that the estimate was going to be much larger. Left the truck overnight for another estimate, came back $2200 more (200%) than the original, AND was also told they couldn t even do the repair. Asked them about the specific part the first time I took it in and was assured it wasn t an issue. Thank you Welcomes Auto Body for wasting 4 months of my time for NOTHING! Go elsewhere with your business.

I hope I never have to go back to Welcome's, lol...but life happens and vehicles get damaged, and if mine does get damaged again I'll definitely bring it here first! Welcome's rocks...I had 2 major incidents this winter (it was the snowpocalypse here in Tahoe) and for both of these Welcome's worked with my insurance and did stellar work, all while giving clear and prompt communication. PLEASE SEND MY DRIVER LICENSE BACK!My vehicle was towed during my Lake Tahoe visit in Nov 2022 and when I picked up my car and paid the necessary penalties and fees (almost $500). Then a day later I realized I didn t have my driver license, called them up and been told my driver license was there and they asked my address so they can mail it back to me. WEEKS have passed and no mail showed up. I called them up again and they said they sent it and it should arrive in the mail soon but again nothing showed up in the mail.. I told them I can pay but still no luck!

I just picked up my '21 Dodge Ram from Welcome's. They have have had it for nearly 3 months. I chose them because they were guaranteed under my insurance and got a good vibe from meeting the owner (Roy) and his daughter (who runs the office). I waited 3 months, since I was violently struck from behind by a commercial truck, to finally get it in. . I have been severely disappointed in the company. My experience has been nothing but negative. Been given the run around about when it would be done, from the start. The person who was given the case, became evasive on when it would be complete, and kept blaming it on parts. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but as time went on, I noticed that her story didn't jibe. Originally, told it would be ready Nov 6th (after having it a month). Dates kept shifting and obvious lies were created to string me along. It's now Dec 22. The case manager called me 3 weeks ago to tell me that I could pick it up (the guy needed to wash it and was coming in on Saturday to finish it). I showed up the next week and could tell that she was being elusive. She walked me to the garage, where the front bumper was off, and now they were waiting for more parts... Huh? Told another 10 days. Received a text message from my insurance congratulating me on getting my vehicle back on Dec 20th... I called Welcome's to inquire about the message, as I had heard nothing from them. "Yes, it's ready, pick it up tomorrow". The day I finally got it back; Dec 22, took it to the gas station, only to find out repairs that had needed immediate attention after the accident (headlamp out, wiper reservoir leaking, right tire rubs the frame when turning, etc); hadn't been fixed. God only knows what damage is done underneath the hood and frame and hasn't been fixed. I thought the owner might call to provide some sort of explanation, but evidently he doesn't care about his business, nor about the quality of work (or lack thereof) of his employees. I highly recommend you practice due diligence before making the decision to leave your vehicle with Welcome's Auto Body.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Body & Trim

Worst towing company ever!!! Do not let these people get your car, worst service ever they know how to take your money but they don t know how to do their job! This towing company took my car b/c of an accident I had in South Lake Tahoe I live 4 hours away from here so I had to come back and get my car out it was terrible they didn t want to get my car out they charged me and had me there wait for 2 plus hours out there in the snow freezing and I had a confrontation with one of them it was bad I had a huge headache never ever coming back here! Please don t come here I usually don t make reviews but i had to for this one the only reason why I had it a one star is because that s the only option. They don t even deserve 1 star they deserve 0 stars

We were headed to Lake Tahoe when our car started to overheat. The insurance roadside assistance called them and within an hour David was here and quickly got us to a shop. He was super nice and seemed to know everybody in town so it made me trust the mechanic more. Highly recommend!

I can t express how good of a service I got! My insurance sent them my details, in no time they called me; set everything up; took my car in ! No waiting period! And everything was so quick and efficient! From my advisor Cynthia to the workers who worked on my car! I picked up my car and it was completely cleaned, washed and detailed! My truck has been stuck in Tahoe for a week because they say they won t tow through AAA (they are the company AAA uses). We waited the first time for hours until they said they couldn t do it. We ve called multiple times since and they said Tahoe was blacklisted. Then today we were guaranteed a tow and after two hours, they changed their minds. Horrible service, use another company.

Called AAA and they send me Welcome's auto body and towing for a lockout. The representative of the company is extremely professional. Unlock our vehicle in less than a min. Very skilled.

I got in an accident a few weeks ago when someone decided to try to pass me on the left on a one lane road when I was turning into my driveway. I called the local Toyota dealership and they recommended we take our car to Welcome's. Our experience was great and the car looks brand new! Bea was very nice and helpful. She worked with our insurance to get everything figured out. I hope to never be in this situation again but if it happens, I would definitely go back to Welcome's.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Body & Trim

The driver qas was propmt..super professional and polite..I would recommend anyone who needs a tow to call Welcomes..they are also the local AAA road side pros!! 5 stars from thos 53 year Tahoe local.. Welcomes!

This company rips people off, I was stuck in the snow for about an hour so I called Triple A and they told me everything was covered in full to not worry and get home safe. Well they sent out Welcome towing and this dude pulls up and tells me $275 cash on top of what Triple A pays them. So he told me I need to pay this fee or he can t help me so I declined and mentioned I m going with other company so he says be careful it gets dark quick and storm coming then goes on bashing this other company South Lake Tahoe towing. At the end of the day South lake towing came through and didn t charge any additional fees over my insurance and got my family home safe! This company is unethical and matches a lot of these negative reviews!

Just got quoted $16,000 for a paint job on a 1/2 ton truck with a little bit peeling paint on the bed. No major body damage or rust, just need a refresh as the truck is old. Make that make sense!!!! I had our house painted for $12,000. What a joke

Just had the worst experience with this company. Rental car got flat, so the Roadside assistance called these guys to town our car to Reno. They took nearly 4 hours to get us and then said they could not bring us to Reno like originally promised because it was too late. I called a week later after the incident for the receipt because the rental company is charging me for the tow and I wanted to get reimbursed by my car insurance. The guy was super rude and refused. He said because I didnt pay the bill I cant get a copy of the receipt. I explained I am technically paying the bill because the rental company Thrifty is charging me. The guy explained the same thing then I went to ask for the official name of the company and he hung up. I called back and a lady answered and all I asked was for the official name and she began saying if you want your receipt you have to call your rental company. Then hung up in my face.

This place is great. Bea got my car in and got it fixed with last minute problems. My son was taking his drive test and she and the guys made it happen. Words can't express how grateful I am. This place is such a scam. How do you tow cars in a weekend tourist town and not have someone working on the weekend at the recovery yard? Its now Monday, I asked if I could get things from my car and they refused to even give me a specific time over the NEXT FEW DAYS to do so. Dealing with these people has been one of the worst towing experiences I have ever encountered. Never mind having to travel to two different states to pay and pick up your vehicle. Who ever gave this tow company this contract is definitely getting a kick back somewhere.. there's no way someone who cares about their community would allow this scam to persist.

Very disappointed. My friend needed assistance and this company, through AAA, refused to service the paved public parking lot (accessed by paved roads) where they were stuck. They claimed road conditions did not allow for the tow truck to access the road, which was incorrect (all roads to the lot are paved and weather was clear with minimal snow on the road), so they clearly do not keep accurate data about road conditions in the area they serve.

Butch from Welcome's Towing in South Lake Tahoe went out of his way to make sure I got to the tire place for a patch on my completely flat tire. He even walked me inside to make sure I was taken care of. Very nice man and very helpful!

Nick was incredibly creepy. Did not feel confidant around him at all. Highly recommend not riding with him if you have the option.

These people are crooks. I had to have my car towed because of an accident near here. $240 an hour!!! Plus they charged me $80 a calander day for parking the car with out bothering to let me know when my car was towed and that I was being charged by the calander day for storage. They justify their prices by saying it's the law. Just because it's the law doesn't make it right. They have you in a a bad situation and take full advantage of your misfortune.

Welcomes auto body is certainly a great company. I had my suv impounded last night due to stupidity. Things got a little out of hand, make a long story short I had to spend the night in the county jail.(hatin it) When I was released I called welcomes where my suv was impounded and the tow truck driver came and picked me up and took me to my car!!!! Friendly SERVICE. I was paid upo and on my way within 1/2 hour. !0 stars if I couldRYAN.

Paid your $1000+ fee FOR ONE NIGHT in TOW YARD and then a lien sale is sent to the dmv? What kind of crooked business is this? It was no mistake since it was dated 4 weeks passed the tow date. This business is as grimy and sneaky as POTUS

Everything was fine. Except the tow driver threw me under the bus to my boss. I asked him to please lock my car so my boss won t snoop in it (she s would and she did!) and he told her I said that.

These guys are rude. I called to ask if I could bring my boyfriend's truck in. then we got a call back after being told yes please come on in that they not only wouldn't be able to see it today but would be able to see it for a week and a 1/2 and the lady was really rude about it too so I will not be back.
