used to be a customer for years but won t come back here. had a tire puncture last fall near the sidewall. they tried to patch it. made me a little nervous as i drive a bunch of dirt roads to no man s land. the patch failed. they fixed it again. failed again. each time they said they found a new puncture. shouldn t you have noticed that the first time around..then they said they d warranty my tire, meanwhile they d put on the snow tires (it was late october) and we take care of warranty in spring. go back there in spring and they put my all seasons back on and the new tire they put as warranty was a different brand than the other 3. different tread depth than the other one on the same axle. i have an AWD. that s just not acceptable. ended up buying a new set of tires from a different place. i try to shop local as much as possible but the local quality of customer service and attention to detail just doesn t measure up.

We bring our equipment from Kit Carson Lodge at Silver Lake, up here to Ken s. They do a good job for us. We appreciate their service because they keep our golf carts and our trailers rolling.

About 6 months ago we had tires mounted and balanced by ken s tires we left there and got no farther than a mile down the road and our car was shaking we got out and looked and the rear tire was not even beaded on the rim. Brought it back in they blew the tire up to bead it we then asked if the tire would need to be rebalanced since he balanced it with out it being beaded and he said no which was a lie.Took the car on a small trip and the steering wheel/entire car was shaking significantly. Brought the car to America tire and had them check the wheels balance and sure enough the wheel that was not beaded was 4.25 out of balance. Finally a few days ago decided to get new tires after still having shaking to discover ELECTRICAL TAPE, loose tire pressure sensors and ZIP TIES inside the tire. If you want quality don t go here.

i had ken's put 4 new tires on my 2019 audi yesterday. great service the whole way - jamie is super helpful and the team did a great job.very happy to recommend them!

Amazing place! I always heard great things, but had my first real experience working with them today. Had a flat tire, showed up with no appointment, and Kenny patched it in 5 minutes. 5 stars, absolute legend. Thank you!

Our entire family buys tires here. Jaime is great, she knows tires and is very professional. Bought 5 Goodyear Dura Trac 35" tires for the Jeep. Best prices on the hill (Tahoe). Daughter bought her snow tires for her Mazda today.

I cannot recommend this place enough! We got two flats driving up the mountain. They didn t have my tires in stock but were kind enough to give me a contact of a tire dealer who shipped the tires I needed the next day. Then, Kenny came in when the shop was closed to replace the tires just to make sure we got down the mountain safely. I cannot overstate how great every one is at this shop.

Excellent customer service! Very knowledgeable staff! I couldn't find any gas station in town that actually had air and water due to the snow conditions and whatnot and Kenny at Ken's tire center happen to be available to assist me in my time of need!

Rachel, the owner, is friendly and seems willing to please. Unfortunately, the basic elements of their customer service is lacking. Rarely do they answer the phones. They suddenly closed for the day when I had a 4pm appointment. No contact was made to notify me of this closure, or reschedule my appointment, which, for a busy professional, is discouraging. It takes quite a bit of effort to do business with Ken's.

Great experience here! Blake was able to give me a very solid deal on some used tires (in like-new condition) that happened to fit my car. The tire change and balancing was quick, and I was very grateful he didn't charge me for the alignment I requested since he confirmed it was already good to go.Super friendly and trustworthy staff; I would not hesitate to come back!

Went there early Monday morning for a flat tire fix on a visible nail puncture. Was told to wait till Wednesday. Guess they don't like the small jobs.

We had a problem with a flat tire on our 4Runner while far from home. Had the vehicle towed to Ken's, hoping it would be a good, fair shop. Very friendly and excellent service from the staff! They patched the tire good as new! Thanks to everyone at Ken's! p.s. Go Lakers! :)

Arrived at Lake Tahoe after a week on the road coming from Chicago. My tires were not in good shape, and I was needing to pump them up daily the last few days of the road trip. Thankfully, Jamie and her team took into account my wallet knowing that it would be cheaper for me to purchase new tires back in Chicago rather than here. They instead patched up three of my tires (one had a slash, one a nail, and one a screw) and did so professionally and warmly, charging me a fairer price than I could have imagined. I never write reviews but my experience at this shop made me want to help this family owned business connect with future customers who want fair prices and kind smiles from Ken s Tire Shop.

Came in early at 8am today to try to see if they can do an alignment on my truck. They were to booked up so I made an appointment totally understandable. As I was leaving I was sitting in my truck in there parking lot one of the tire guys that works there gets into a customer's car and slams the door into my truck . Not fair for me or the guys car he was moving extremely unprofessional the worker didn't seem too care at all.

Great Customer Service. Was able to make an appointment to get my flat fixed. They got it done within the time promised. Would Highly recommend them. Always willing to help us out-of-towners.

Thought I would shop local since I've lived in SLT for over 20 years. My mistake! I will stick with cooperate les Schwab! Charged me $40 to put air in my tires but the worst part is my brand new car with less the 6K was smeared with greasy gritty dirt all over the steering wheel the inside of the driver door and inside and outside door handles and I me covered with greasy dirt! 40$ for dirt! thanks for being "local" Kens' tires not what it used to be! FU

Excellent customer service. Ken s Tire ordered and replaced a defective tire that was under warranty for me while on vacation in south lake. We had a little trouble with the TPMS system after that, which they resolved quickly and free of charge. Would highly recommend this helpful business to anyone with tire needs!

Very efficient and friendly. Needed new tires for long, wintry commutes to work. They laid out their best options, and why they were the best as far as cost/warranty/repair. Tires were delivered within a day and the appointment was less than an hour. Will recommend!

Great shop ... wonderful people. Blake(mechanic) and Jaime(front desk) were absolutely helpful in every way. I needed help after a fresh diy shock/strut install for my evo. After a bad experience at Lily s , Kens Tire took great care of me.. set everything strait... and even readjusted after my new system settled.. for free! I found my new tire/alignment shop in Tahoe!

They were really nice, jacked up my car and inspected it. Found some problems, but told me I was safe to drive home before I fixed it. Gave me peace of mind to drive back over the mountains the next day. Didn't charge me anything, and really made my day. Made it home safely, and I'm fixing the car tomorrow. Great experience, and staff.

These guys saved my butt. Their super friendly staff went above and beyond to help get my tires replaced. They went through all the options available for my vehicle with me and gave solid recommendations. The price was fair and worth the service. Thank you Ken's!

Jamie your amazing, traveling through tahoe on vacation and we got a screwdriver in our tire. She ordered tires and had them in within a few days. Your service was fabulous and thanks to our local friend tahoe pete he recommended you and we couldn't be more happy! Til next year cheers

We have a 2009 Subaru Impreza that had a leaking steering rack. The team at Ken s worked and worked on it to find and fix the problem. After 4 new racks and a lot of effort, we were back in business at a price that was extremely reasonable. Thank you!

This tire shop is in my opinion the best tire shop in South Lake Tahoe. The staff are professional, polite and helpful. They do not try to overcharge people like Lilly's Tire Service does just down the street. Ken's Tires works with their customers in every way they can to fulfill your tire needs, and/or whatever your vehicle repairs might entail. I strongly suggest and highly recommend, if you're in South Lake Tahoe, and have problems with your vehicle, go to Ken's, they will take care of you and make you feel like family as the work is being professionally completed. If however, you want to be overcharged and looked at as a dollar sign, then go to all the other tire shops in South Lake Tahoe. Ken's Tire Center actually should get twenty stars, but there isn't enough room to click them!

30 years going to kens,went in mon made appointment for Wednesday for brake job on my 21' RV come sat not done due to what ever,Monday not done yet problems,tues more problems and 500$ more on bill. There goes my camping trip.Not very happy.

I got oversized tires that were a half of an inch away from the shocks of my trailblazer. I came on looking for wheel spacers so I could keep the tires. They said they'll look up some spacers and give me prices and they would call me. 3 weeks go by without a call so I went in again and they said "they forgot about me" and they'll call me that day with prices. Again they didn't call so I called them and they said they couldn't find anything. And by that time I couldn't return the tires and now I have to buy new ones. So thanks ken's for doing nothing and losing me $400.

The owner of the Ken's Tire Shop and Staff were really nice. She did everything she promised and MORE! If you're reading this I highly recommend them. Friendly nice and all the above
