They are extremely expensive. With the amount they charge to rebuild a carburetor, I can easily buy a new one from eBay.

my 1985 Nissan720 barely made it to Earnies, and righaway my car was attended and found that the carburator needed repairs. The price is little high but we'll worth it. The car is running like it's 1985 all over again.

On their web sight it says that you can "rebuild your own carb" through them. I figured I could bring it in or they said to mail it in for a estimate. When I called to get more information about it, I'm not sure if it was Ernie or Jr. but they said they don't do that, to mail it in and they just rebuild it themselves. They didn't know what I was talking about. How can they advertise that on their web sight and not even know what I'm talking about. Rediculous, they won't even glass bead my carb to rebuild myself, like it says on their web sight. I mean, how can I rebuild it myself with out having that done. He didn't know what I was talking about even getting a attitude. You guys need to figure out whats on your web sight now, I'm sure they have had other customers that wanted to do the same thing

I would have saved myself a lot of money if I had come here to begin with. The Jeep now runs beautifully, and Ernie seems like a genuinely nice guy. Almost makes me wish I had more carbs that need rebuilding.

Took several carburetors to them to get rebuilt over the years and always rebuilt them right, if not, better! Fast friendly service and work done on time. This type of work is a lost trade that has been passed down to generations in this shop and you can tell. Great work guys and will see you soon with my next project!

Took a Holley 750 Dual feed four barrel in for rebuilding and it came back perfect. What impressed me was I needed a ported vacuum source on carb which carb didnt come with and they managed to pull it off. EXCELLENT.

It's sad to see that a once reputable company can't continue their consistent quality of work. I took my truck in to have carburetor rebuilt and left it for 3 hours (not bad). Driving down the freeway back home the pedal got stuck in full throttle position. I shut off the truck and pulled off to the side and played with pedal until it returned to normal place. Then proceeded to take it back and there they did a quick fix on it.As I drove the truck I smelled gas and figured it was running too rich. I had previously owned a 1980 Toyota Corolla that I had Ernie's rebuild and so I trusted that it was normal. So I took the truck to get smogged about 2 weeks or so after and came to find out that indeed the truck was running very rich indeed. It failed SMOG.The same day it failed I went to Ernie's and came across a gentleman in the counter that was overly rude. He made me feel like he had little to no interest in making sure his customer service was in good standing. Regardless I convinced him to take the truck in and as long as I made sure I brought back my invoice to show proof of purchase. 2.5 hours later the same rude gentleman contacted me to let me know job was done and truck was ready... it was a quick conversation.Take into consideration that as of now I spent about 1.5 hours of my time and about $30 in Uber driving to Ernies, to smog and back to Ernie's. Like any other day it was a work day so I proceeded to finish work before heading out to Ernie's since I assumed they were an 8-5 business. About another 45 min later at around 2:15pm I receive another call from the same rude gentleman asking me if I was going to pick up the truck. I asked him what time they were closing and he responded with 3pm. I looked at time and thought, "Wow, I have to drop my work right this instant to get a Uber and maybe make it on time?" So I looked up their hours and sure enough their hours are 8am-5pm.I called back and the rude gentleman answered and when I expressed myself he stated, "Its not up to me what time the owner wants to close." I thought oh man this guy is digging himself too deep with this horrible customer service. I let it pass and dropped everything to head out and took an Uber. About 15 minutes into the drive Ernie's call me, this time someone else tells me he is Ernie and that whatever reason they had to close at 3pm, it wasn't necessary and now they were closing at 5pm. All of a sudden?I showed up and the rude gentleman has me show him invoice and he circles the words "NO GUARANTEE IT WILL PASS SMOG." Okay, I get it, covering your back for a job not done well. Red flags everywhere at this point. Then he tells me that if I feel the truck bogg too much it's because the gas was turned down. At this point I was thinking should I trust that they had the experience to make sure it was running the way it should? I drive fuel injected cars now and my 1980 Corolla wasn't daily driven so I dont remember much but that one passed smog.Took the vehicle 1 week later to the SMOG place and after the test is done the owner of the place looks and me and asks, "Who is working on your carburetor?" Numbers show that now the vehicle was running very lean. At this point I just don't want to deal with the rude gentleman because it is just not something we want to deal with in our days. But I proceed to contact them and sure enough he answers. I dont want to talk with him so instantly I ask, "Can I take to Ernie?" He then says, "This is Ernie."Of course he is Ernie. All this time. And for all of you out there looking for a company with an owner that has a passion for doing quality work, this place isn't it anymore. He was trying to charge me another $65 to fix his own work. That's another 1.5 - 2 hours of missing work and $30 in Uber. I really hope for you the best Ernie, and whatever you are dealing with in life... guess what? We all deal with things in life. Work is work, life is life. Take care and God bless.

Do not use this company I spent 400.00 dollars and they couldn't adjust the carburator beacuse they didn't have the machine to do it.wish they would have said that before taking my money beware you will spent more money on your carburetor to get it done right.
