This review is long overdue, reflecting a visit last March. I came in during one of the massive storms that hit Santa Cruz last winter, flooding and trees down everywhere. I had a flat tire and an ill fitting donut on my car. The man working ( I think the owner) was all by himself because none of his workers could make it in. He told me honestly that he wasn't sure if he could fix my tire and watch the front, but that he'd try.I sat at the coffee shop across the street and tried not to panic. What this man did not know was that I had just spent a week in San Francisco while my daughter was in the ICU. My last morning there, I came out to a flat tire. AAA came out and put my donut on, but it was the wrong size so I had to get towed back to Santa Cruz - during a crazy monsoon. I had 2 days to pack and get ready to take her back to Oregon with me. I was stressed out, running out of money and needing a miracle.So I came back to Wilson's a couple hours later and this amazing fella had fixed my tire. I didn't have to give him my sob story or beg, he just got it done. I know he was just doing what he does everyday, but it was the break I needed. Thank you kind sir, for fixing my tire in the middle of a wild storm when you really could have reasonably said no.

This place is amazing. The owner and employees are great and will take good care of you. Highly recommend. I go here every time I need anything tire related.

Excellent, professional, efficient, thorough, and quick service! Juan was able to have the hard-to-find tires I needed delivered in less than a day and installed in less than an hour once they arrived. He also diagnosed another potential safety issue with my car (shocks needing replacement). To top it all off, he charged me less than his initial estimate while offering friendly, helpful service.

These guys are AWESOME. I'm just about to move almost 450 miles away in my van and it has some pretty significant shaking, but everyone else I called was booked. I called and even though he was busy, he told me to come on by. They got my van on jacks within a few minutes and diagnosed the problem just a few minutes later. Just a tire separation, easy fix. They didn't charge me a diagnostic fee and everybody had a stellar attitude and vibe. Too bad I'm moving so far away, or I'd come here regularly!!

Incredible service. We called because our travel trailer had a nail in the tire while we were driving through town. We pulled in and they patched the hole in 15 minutes. So thankful for their amazing service!

This is the best tire shop in the county. I wouldn t trust taking my vehicles anywhere else but here. They re very knowledgeable, quick but thorough. The prices are reasonable too.

Honest, good, quick and efficient service! Came in with a busted tire, they ordered one last minute for me which arrived the next day and they replaced the old tire very quickly in shop. Overall very helpful- and the price they quoted me was the exact same I was charged. Would definitely visit again for needs in the future. Thank you!

Huge shout out to Sergio today! I called in a panic after realizing I had run over a screw and could hear the leak. Sergio was able to fix my tire right away (which was also SUPER cool to watch) and the entire process, from the minute I called to the minute I left, took less than 20 minutes. It was amazing! Affordable too. 100% would recommend.

I had a weird situation with the mechanism that holds my spare tire under my car. I was told I needed to have someone look at it and find out what's wrong in order to have it covered by insurance. The owner looked at it and let me know that the whole mechanism needed to be replaced. I forgot to explain the insurance thing to him first, so offered to pay for his time if my insurance wouldn't be able to use his company. He said, "don't worry about it," and let me go without paying. My insurance gave me a list of providers that Wilson tires wasn't on, so I won't be able to use his company, but wanted to give him a stellar review for helping me out and being so cool about it.

We just left Wilson's and were so disappointed. we just noticed that we have very low tires and were just getting ready to go on the freeway. Wewanted to get our tires filled up. the guy told us we have to wait at least two hours so we had to leave, no consideration at all for his customer, or the fact that I was disabled. We were not expecting a free service and were more than willing to pay. I would never do business with this place. We moved on to a nice, friendly place that was very happy to help us.

Had a damaged tire. In and out in 15min with a patch and air pressure topped off. Great service at a great price.

The staff at Wilson's Tire is always friendly and fair. I've known the owner Juan for quite a few years and I am writing today to vouch for his character, knowledge and passion to help others. If you want a local locally owned with roots to the community, Wilson's Tire is the place to go.

Never write reviews but this was bad, so bad. This place is a rip-off. Total shame. Just moved to the area. Walked in because my back break was making noise, they seem totally helpfull so much so I call my wife and had her bring her car to take a look at the breakers as well. So first they diagnosed my car as need new brakes, rotors and calipers all the way around. I could not afford this so I parked my car. Same day they said my wife needed pads and rotors all the way around... we needed at least one car... so 900 dollars later we were back on the road. When we got the car back the had never seated the brakes. Almost causing a accident. We return, they apologized, and adjusted them. Later my wife then remembered, it had only been about year and a half since she had replaced the rotors. Now at this time I had stopped driving my car to save up to fix the brakes causing a bunch of hardship, based on them saying it was "unsafe.. "when my wife showed me the receipt of her prior brake job I went for a second opinion, and wooow... all I needed were new pads on the back. 150 bucks later I was back on the road. They quoted me 1300... so if you want to get bent over go here- anywhere, anywhere, anywhere is better!

I've been going to this shop for about a year+ now. After trying many different mechanics from Aptos to Felton, this is who I've chosen for my go to guy. First, this is a woman friendly buisness! And I'm not just saying that, my stepdad is a mechanic and I grew up helping him in his shop up into my teens. I still always get my stepdad's opinion, but he is much too far away to see, so Juan is here to do the work I need ( : It's great to have a mechanic you can trust to do what's right at a fair price. Its very conviently located in the soquel village. They get the work done efficiently, effectively, and quickly. Even though they are small, they're great. They keep my car safe and on the road for myself and my girls. He truely puts my needs first, which as a single mom i need. They're not looking to do work you don't need done. He'll tell you if he can't do it, the next best place to go, and won't mess with things that aren't in his wheel house. If something goes wrong I always hope to be able to make it there. They do a great job and stand behind their work . I've gotten tire repair, brakes, and radiator work. This is a locally family owned and run buisness. Bring it in when the owner Juan is there, he'll give the younger guys direction, and then ensure things are done right before you pick it up. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUISNESS! Give them a try.

I got a flat tire, a big nail in the side wall. I filled it out and drove to Wilson. They ordered a single tire, it arrived two days later, they put it on, pretty straight-forward. It was a 2017 Honda CR-V.

I found a screw in my tire ..... made the call and had my tire repaired within 20 minutes....good people there.

$82 for an oil change and they didn't use liquid gold- what a rip-off. Stay away from this over-priced place!

Hours of operation are very inconsistent. I have tried to drop by a few times and they are always closed. Out of business maybe?
