I just purchased a 2021 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 on January, 7th 2024. It was a great experience purchasing a car from Ocean Honda. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Their team was amazing. I drove from 3 hours a way and they were willing to accommodate me and meet a little early before they opened.Victor was great through the entire process. He contacted me shortly after I inquired about the vehicle and immediately sent me a video of the car I was interested in. He was very communicative and insightful/informative. He didnt make me feel pressured or harrased as some car salesmen do that can push customers away. His patients and understanding made me feel comfortable and inclined to give him my business. As this was a used car, he was very honest about the overall condition of the vehicle and any minor damages it may have had. He included pictures of any issues and was transparent, instead of being misleading, saying everything was great to get me in the door. I appreciate the honesty as I understand any used car is not going to be perfect. He made sure to address any issues/concerns I had with the detail department and did his best to get them fixed. Thank you Victor, keep up the good work, you have a bright future ahead of you.Dylan was very pleasant to work with as well. From my experience in management and customer service, I got the impression that he is a great manager. He was willing to work with me and be negotiable on some items. I noticed the back bumper reflector was broken and he was willing to ship a replacement to me as well as reduce the estimated cost of labor it will take for me to get the reflector installed. He was also willing to reduce the costs of the ELO-GPS price to make the car doc maintenance membership more affordable for me to add on. Thank you Dylan for your great business acumen.Adrian was also pleasant to work with in finance. He made everything super smooth and was very informative as well. He is good at what he does. He was very sociable/outgoing and genuinely cared when my son started coughing and brought him water. He made the finance portion and paperwork signing as painless as possible. He was even willing to ask Dylan a couple of questions/requests I had as well as help me negotiate the ELO and car doc pricing. Thank you Adrian for your professionalism and making the financial portion an enjoyable experience.I have been in the customer service and management side of things for several years and I must say I was impressed with this dealership. Even though I was there for only 3 hours or so and just met them, they felt like friends I have know for a long time. I saw a small number of bad reviews when looking them up before going there but I'm now convinced those bad reviews are either from people with no patients, are hard to please or difficult or just hate life LOL. I understand the add on fees may be a little higher then some used car dealerships. But you get what you pay for. The car I purchased went through a full multi point inspection and tune up, had new brakes front to back, and all new tires. The car runs practically like its brand new. Also, my paint will be protected for 5 years and the 5 year maintenance program is a bargain in the long run compared to what you would pay for maintenance out of pocket. You may pay a little less somewhere else at an independent used car dealership but you won't get the same long term quality in your vehicle as you will get at a licensed Honda dealership like Ocean Honda.In conclusion, if you are in the area or live near Soquel looking to purchase a vehicle, I highly recommend you stop by Ocean Honda. I was road tripping from washington state to santa cruz. During my trip my civic type r began having issues building boost. They were able to diagnose and fix it. Im really greatful for the assistance. They also paid for my lyft ride back to my hotel where I was staying.

First so frustrated that I had to pay $148.05 for the service, the guy said my car was under different name, ( my ex, but for so long he was out of the picture and every time I do the service I always update details , because my ex contact number and my old numbers still popping in their computer for years. Then my mileage didn't reach 100,000 miles yet, only 63,151 miles I thought it still covered, so confident it still free,(but I paid anyway feel bad to back out when I'm already there, and I have to go work just wanna get it done. ) The thing that really pissed me off was the clutter in my car, it happened few times before but I just let it go, but today I showed them,i had enough. Everything's on the floor. I was talking or called the guy who brought my car but he's trying to ignore me that pissed me off more! Some people working there are inconsiderate and rude.. I don't think I would go back there anymore. But I salute to the Japanese guy, he was polite and even sorry for what happened. I wish I took pictures the incidents before, but here it is today.. so frustrating.

Ocean Honda is awesome!Jeff (sales) has been the best guy to work with. 10 years ago he made my youngest, wildest dreams of buying my first car come true. As luck would have it, we were car shopping recently and ran into Jeff again. He really listened to and stuck with our list of needs & wants. He went to work for us and gave us such a fantastic deal, we left feeling great about our new family car.The place is clean, friendly and feels welcoming. I had my baby with me and she started to get hungry. Without hesitation or judgment they gave me privacy to nurse. Everything and everyone gets 5 stars all around. Best of all we have the family car of our dreams!

I want to give a shout out to my service advisor, Eric Mendoza. Eric has been my service advisor for years, and all I can say is that he is an amazing, hard-working man. Eric has always made sure my car is well taken care of, always making sure to help me out or squeeze me in when I have issues with my car. I truly hope Honda sees the potential in him and promotes him to service manager or something greater, because he truly deserves it. Thank you, Eric, for the best service you bless me with all the time.

I took my 17 civic to service for the first time ever! and i must say it was a pretty good experience, everyone was super friendly. My advisor was Eric he was very helpful and informative he told me they offer a multi- point inspection with my service which was awesome because I didn't know that all my tire tread was so low that they needed replacements. The time the techs took for the job didnt seem very long at all either. It was great service all around. 10/10 would recommend

The manager Chris and associate Jakob invited me for a civic type R sale and told me it will be ready for test drive and they ll provide me the best deal ever. After driving about 1.5 hrs from my home to santa cruz Upon arrival i was told that they don t have the vehicle at their dealership and they will do a door delivery once they have it. Basically they not only didn't care about wasting my time they also tried to pre-sell a vehicle which hadn't even arrived at their dealership.I should have read reviews of this dealership first specially Dominic Gada who faced similar experience. Im glad i didn t waste much of my time at this dealership negotiating.

I came in for my afternoon appointment that I made a few days ago for two recalls that my vehicle has, and a few other things that are wrong with my vehicle. The older man in the service department said that the things that I think that are wrong with my vehicle are normal and he can t do nothing about it and he couldn t do the recalls today, because he doesn t have what he needs to do to do them so pretty much I drove from Salinas to Capitola over an hour drive for this old man to scream at me and tell me that there s nothing wrong with my vehicle and that he can t do the recalls today that I would have to reschedule to come in another day for my recalls He said maybe he can do one of them them, and it would take a few hours, but he didn t have a car rental for me to take when the person next to me was literally getting a car rental He was so rude since the beginning and I don t know if that s because I have an accent and I m not Caucasian like everybody else that was there but it did bother me that he got loud with me and he was rude I buy all my cars from you guys and so does, my family, but I think today that ends taking my time and money We re it is valued. And not to mention my safety, since apparently, he thinks there s nothing wrong with the vehicle.

My experience with Ocean Honda thus far is one of outstanding customer service, there sales associates are friendly and knowledgeable. We felt that small town vibe, I feel completely satisfied with my purchase, and our new 2023 Honda HRV sport rides like a dream. It is Beautiful addition to our new family. A complete waste of time. After negotiating for a new civic type r, we reached a price and agreement. Alan had agreed to a price out the door, I clarified over the phone and over text messages that taxes and fees were included in the price. We drove over an hour to finalize the deal only for both the sales manager (Dylan) and Alan to try and haggle us to 5000$ more then we agreed to. Not only did they lie saying that they didn t agree to taxes and fees they tried to continually upsell us on every package. Not only this, but Alan tried to continually state that out the door didn t include taxes and fees. Don t come here unless you want to be talked down to and sold a marked up car. Alan, a specific note to you, please learn what out the door means. Dylan if you re going to be a sales manager, don t call us back to make rude comments.

All of the employees are super friendly, BUT- How long does it take to do the rear brakes on a vehicle when I have an appointment that I made 2 weeks ago??? OR, even an oil change service??? I had an appointment at 10:15 this morning, I was here at 9:55am, and it is currently 3:45pm and still my car is not finished!!! I have other things to do with my day. What good is an appointment if you overbook you Service Department?

A couple years ago, I went in and purchased a used Honda Civic Si. All went well with numbers agreed and even picked my financing through BayFederal. After everything was done and signed, a week later I receive a call letting me know that the bank did NOT accept my financing agreement and that my interest rate would be higher than agreed in the contract. I had told them that I did not agree and the ultimatum was that I return the vehicle. I agreed. Upon arrival to return the vehicle, they had informed me that my initial trade had already been sold and they could NOT undo the deal. They offered to reduce the original price on my new vehicle to compensate for the interest rate difference. All in all, the math didn't check out because in the end I would still have to pay more. This was a terrible experience as the cornered me in and I did not have much of an option. It was a very crooked deal.

For anyone out there thinking of buying a car from this dealership, think again! Take your business elsewhere! Its such a waste of time and rip off. They sold me a beat down truck (Ridgeline) with stains in the interior dents and wavy quarter panels and to top it off bad front suspension and transmission was kicking! Although they let me cancel the deal once I told them I spoke to my attorney, they still denied anything is wrong with the truck. They sold me GAP insurance plus another mechanical insurance and even though they said the truck had 90 days or 3,000 miles limited warranty they did not want to repair the truck and wanted to wait 90 days for the limited warranty to expire and go through the insurance they sold me. Threatening behavior from Dylan and no help from Alejandro the sales person.By the way they Posted the truck up again and marked up the price to cover more added on insurances to cover the damage it already has! Black 2022 Honda Ridgeline Sport.My fault...buying a truck blindly it was not even at their dealership the day they sold it to me and rushed me to sign everything promising to deliver it the next day, which I ended up having to pick up and drive off with all the issues it had.

Horrible worst service and part's department for your vehicle. Made a service appointment for a recall over the phone with both there part's and service department to insure the part would be in and on time. When I arrived there service department said that they didn't have that part available. When I talked to service manager he was confused saying that part doesn't even exist yet, when earlier that week I talked to 2 people from his part's department saying "you need to make a service appointment so we can place a order for those part's". There the worst dealership ever don't go here -5 five star's if I could.

I went here for buying out my partner's lease. Here is a breakdown that they gave me for my lease buyoutResidual: 14700ELO GPS: 1699Reconditioning: 5999Some other what fees:Extended Warranties:Total: 30901Good dealerships would let you buy the car for residual plus registration, in our case the amount should have been around 16000 for that but they tried to charge us 30901.I told them that I can directly get a cheque from a Credit Union for auto loan and give it to the bank and he said that Honda Finance does not deal with credit unions or banks and dealership is the only one which Honda Finance deals with. This is true and I would make sure that I don't lease a Honda after this for this practice where they take advantage of consumers by making them deal with dealerships for buying out leases and dealerships charging out random fees to let you buy out the lease.The guy called himself the director of finance at this dealership and tried to bully us into buying out his ridiculous amount of add ons. He also did not give us the quote sheet and told me that he would sue me if I tell this quote to anyone outside.TLDR: If you are buying out your lease, do yourself a favor and skip this dealership and directly cut a cheque to Honda Finance rather than going through Ocean Honda. The problem is that most people don't have the amount as cash without a loan and this dealership takes advantage of that. As such be aware of leasing a car with them. As in Dec 2023, you do need to have the residual amount plus taxes available to pay off your car as Honda won't take a cheque from your bank directly.

Honda takes the cake on the most unhelpful and unprofessional business I've ever had the displeasure of working with. They tried to convince me multiple times to spend money on repairs my truck didn't need and neglecting to honor extended warranties. They told me I needed to repair my entire catalytic converter and exhaust to fix a problem I took it to Branciforte auto and they replaced a sensor and fixed everything for $300. It's unfortunate companies can get away with robbery in broad daylight, all I can do is never buy Honda again.

In May 2023, I sent my car with a broken radiator to the Ocean Honda Santa Cruz dealership (3801 Soquel Dr, Soquel, CA 95073). I also had the airbag light on; they said the airbag light was a safety issue and Honda would repair it for free. After a week and a half, they called me to pick up the car with the fixed radiator, but the airbag light was still ON ( I was not informed about this when they called me to pick it up). When I told them about the airbag issue, they said they would call me when the part would be available. I drove back home and realized the air conditioner was not working (by the way, the air conditioner was working before I sent the car to repair). I called to inform them about this new issue, and they told me to bring the car back to check it. I made an appointment a week later, but upon arrival, they told me it would take five days to let me know what was wrong with it. They advised me to call in advance to check if I could borrow a service car so I could have a car while repairing mine. I called asking, and they told me they would let me know when a borrowed car would be available. Two weeks later, I called again and requested to speak with the guy who took my car for repair the first time. He said he would call me when a borrowed car would be available (again). It has been months since then (now September 2023), and I am still waiting to hear from Ocean Honda Santa Cruz about an available borrowed car or the airbag light part. I emailed the manager to let him know about all these issues with his business a month ago, and he has yet to reply. The radiator repair itself was over $2,000. Is this how a business treats its customers? Once they receive payment, they forget about you. Please do not bring the car to this dealership; they do not provide decent customer service. I guess they look into a car under warranty because they have to, but if you are out of warranty and need assistance, never trust this business; they do not provide honest service to their customers.

Poor communication mixed in with some slight of hand. CarGurus had the car listed for $36,600 but after receiving the original offer from the salesman at nearly $49K I was in shock. He claimed these additional dealer add ons were part of a package which we chewed on throughout the day. Finally got everything resolved but the 3M film that had been added to the doors for $995 and had to be paid for which I agreed to and drove down to pick up the car. In the morning in the light it was clear that the 3M film was not even installed but we certainly paid for it! Still trying to sort out what the dealer will return the money since I have no desire to return. Will definitely update this post if we receive our refund. Make sure you get what you pay for

It took them over a month to tell me they couldn t finance my car because my work permit had expired. We had to return the vehicle. They wanted me to pay for mileage usage. They made it hard for me to get my 3,000 deposit back.I went to Toyota instead and financed through KeyPoint Credit Union.I recommend getting a pre-approval letter from a credit union before entering the dealer's financial office.0 stars for their customer service when we need to cancel a contract and get a deposit back.
