Brought in truck that broke down on CA highway. We're from Idaho. Needed it looked at immediately and repaired soonest. They dropped what they were doing as soon as our truck was towed in. They gave us a ride to the car rental place, they used (by permission) a part from another truck that matched ours so we didn't have to wait 3 days for the part to come in, they had our truck repaired in less than 24 hours. They set everything aside to assist us as we were from another state traveling thru California. Can't say enough good about them! Thank you Jim's Automotive/Opie's Garage!

New to the area. At work EVERYONE recommended Opies! I got my Chevy worked on here. They are very professional, explained everything to me kindly and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone from the front desk lady to the mechanics. If you are a nervous female needing her car worked on. COME HERE! Very comfortable feeling. Thank you Opies Team for Great Service.

Horrible and time consuming. Wont even smog test your car without you jumping through hoops and waiting two weeks just for them to cancel last minute

Long time customer of 40 years. Nothing like it use to be. Last two times I have to grade it a F or worse. Absolutely cannot trust them anymore. Now it's money first and money last.Had timing belt changed and later that night the radiator over heated because they forgot to close the bottom closure of the radiator. Lucky I caught it before it wrecked the engine. If you need them JUST to look at something they said it's $300 MINIMUM just to look and see if there anything is wrong. Regardless if there is or isn't anything wrong they said it will still cost $300. They once were good years ago. Now they're the worse. I won't even trust their diagnoses anymore. Too easy to cheat people now days in auto repair shops. Shameful.

They're very busy, but very competent.Your car won't be done immediately, but it will be DONE.Karens , avoid this place.They don't have time for your bull***t.

They are not hurting for work, that's for sure. These guys are the best in town! They are always friendly reliable knowledgeable and affordable. Real people who take pride in their work. I wouldn't trust any other crew to touch my truck.... Steve has worked on my jeep exclusively for years, and is familiar with all its little quirks which is comforting and assuring. Thank you again Steve for all your diligence with my little beast!

This place is great. They are honest and have told me that I dont need parts that other auto mechanics are trying to sell me. Steven is a great guy too. Friendly service, honest, real hard working people. I bring my vehicles here all the time. The receptionist there is a great women too, I like having conversations with her. Keep up the good work!

If only there was an option for zero stars... worst customer service I've ever experienced! I walked in one day thinking you could just walk in and an elderly receptionist was sooo rude asking if I had an appointment as if it was an inconvenience to her. I've heard many good things about this shop so though okay, I'll call and make an appointment then. I did although was able to get a smog done same day at another shop rather than waiting weeks. So I called to cancel my appt. Again, same lady answered seeming annoyed and inconvenienced that I was canceling my appt. She should have showed more gratitude. I mean I could have just not showed and let them lose out on money for my spot... Sad to say this shop will never receive my money or business.

We just used their service for the first time and could tell that their other customers love taking their vehicles there. We went in to get our VW Eurovan smog certification. Steve was pleasant and quick. The charge was $70 out the door. We are still trying to find good, reputable businesses in the Sonora area since we ve only been here for four years, and this one is going permanently into our contacts! Will be back!

Apparently an appointment is usually required but I was taken care of as a walk-in for an emissions test. This test was $70 after tax, an unusually expensive test compared to what I m used to in Georgia. The office woman was sweet and the tech was good-natured. This shop was recommended to me by other mechanics in Groveland. When I visited in the late morning the shop was pretty busy and productive.

I'd give them a 5 star rating, but sometimes if you give them an a week to finish something, they'll take three years.They are the most honest and fair people you can meet. Just don't bring them anything complex and electrical...and make sure you've agreed on when you need your car back. Or you can allow them to back burner it indefinitely. LOL

Best family owned businesses in town 69 years in the community, they care and love your patronage. I have taken every car I have there because they care and will do anything for you. Sincere and not in it for the $$ but quality.

This place is a Rip Off. $414.00 for a Oil Change. When they said that they were going to repair a major problem with my son's car. My son works very hard for the money that they stole from him. You would at least think that they would try to make things right. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! THEY WILL ROB YOU!

Had appt. for 9:00am, showed up at 8:00am. They took us in directly at 9:00. Quality work, professional atmosphere, reasonable price. No complaints, did not feel like I was ripped-off.

Jim's is a great place! I just needed a smog check and I got treated so nice. Everybody here is genuinely helpful, polite and honest. 2 thumbs up from me.

If you want honest service, straight up real deal, no selling you stuff you don't need repaired. This is the place, they are that good when they are beyond booked. This will be the shop I go to for now on.

Then doing my work on my vehicles on and off for years and years I've always been very happy with their service and they have gone out of way on several occasions to make things work then you know even letting me stretch out a payment on something that was a little bit more of a little expensive my budget and they help me with that good family business I'd recommend them highly thank you
