If I could give 10 out of 5 stars, I would!My husband and I called Auto Tech (spoke to Hal) and were desperate for mechanical help. Our truck broke down while were 160 miles out of town in Sonora, while on our way to our first solo backpacking trip since our daughter was born (4 years prior). I had called several other mechanics in town and no one else would even give us the time of day; said they were booked out a couple weeks at least. When I called Auto Tech, Hal said they would fit us in. They worked on our truck all day and Vinnie, (our amazing mechanic) truly went above and beyond. When the auto parts store was going to close and had failed to deliver a crucial part for our truck, Vinnie personally drove there to get us the part. And then he stayed late to make sure the truck was fixed and safe for us to drive. Cost was also reasonable and quality and safety were their top priority. Both my husband and I truly can't thank them enough. They went above and beyond and their kindness made our weekend!It is businesses like Auto Tech, and the amazing people that work there that truly make this world a better place. Thank you again!

Went in to get gears done, parts got caught in a snow storm but hal wasted no time, after I informed them of a water pump and clutch in the truck they turned the down time into a new install, fast efficient and done right I couldn't have asked for a better experience..... If you or anyone you know has a jeep that needs work you can't or don't want to do I would recommend this shop with this crew..... Their knowledge experience and professionalism is unrivaled and they wheel too so it's not like 4wp where some 22yo with a Subaru is trying to get you to over pay on a rough country lift, they are the real deal and like the terminator I will be back!

Ended up here after having truck problems on a road trip. They made an effort to get me in and delivered top notch service. The front desk staff was delightful and accommodating. The mechanics were knowledgeable and didn't mind answering all my questions and even tolerated me starting over their shoulder a bit. The owner and his crew took the time to look deep at my issues and saved me a ton of money on parts in the process. The waiting area was comfortable which helped as I anxiously waited to hear if my trip would be taking an unexpected and long detour.The reviews that this shop gets are well earned, and if I lived in the area they would get all my business. I didn't look at the reviews prior to my visit. I had called a diesel specific shop that was booked and was recommended to Auto Tech by their service writer. That should speak volumes as well for these folks.Nobody likes to pay for car repairs, but if you have to it should be to a place that you can trust will treat you right. Auto Tech is just that.

These guys are great! I thought I blew my engine, pulled in and Hal had the air filter off, they hooked up a vacuum hose and adjusted my idle. Next thing I know its running better than before. When I asked how much, they told me not to worry about it!Of course they have all my business, but that not much. They've always helped me more than I could ever afford. I don't do reviews, but they deserve a sincere thank you!

I was referred to Auto Tech s specialist Eric by Wayne & Son s Automotive out of Angels Camp.They were very flexible as well as accommodating to my needs.The took care of my vehicle in a timely matter. Communication was optimal.I recommend them for their quality of work.

The folks at Auto tech are beyond awesome, they are superstars!Talk about reasonable and fair, well Auto tech and all its employees take the cake.Friendly, easygoing, down to earth, honest and so much more I would be writing all day.Bottom line is, if you need anything done on your vehicle's this is the first place to call!

AMAZING!!! To sum it up, that is what Auto Tech is, amazing; they have created a customer for life. They are the most determined, honest, hardworking and talented group of people. I had one of those problem trucks and the staff at Auto Tech never gave up. They went above and beyond to diagnose an intermittent issue. They worked on it, fixed it, worked with our warranty company and got us back on the road. Every person that I talked to had a smile on their face and a great attitude. I have, and will continue to, recommend them to anyone in need of a repair shop.

I was from out of the area and selected them because they were one of the first tire and auto repair places that came up in Google located in Sonora and they had a web site. After randomly selecting them I was still a little worried until I arrived. Super nice shop, great people, and excellent prices for my tire and transmission work. I plan on using them for all my auto repair needs when I am in the Sonora area.

Not impressed at all. I got stranded up here with an overheating issue on my BMW and paid to have it towed to Erik at Auto Tech. I suggested I was worried it might be a water pump issue or thermostat. He squeezed me in and took about 20 minutes to diagnose the issue. Came back with the guaranteed solution that it was just the radiator reservoir cap and I could go get one at AutoZone for $20. Relieved I tipped him $20 and took the car to AutoZone, ordered the part and then waited around stranded in a Sonora Strip Mall until 4:45 when the part arrived. I replaced it and began to slowly drive home; until it happened again 5 minutes until my drive. Frustrated, I slowly got it back to AutoZone and figured it was probably the thermostat. So I left the car overnight and first thing in the morning I called Auto Tech to see if they could get me in, and lo and behold they were all booked up...for days. I believe a company should stand behind their word and their brand. This company clearly does not and now has wasted an entire day for me...and essentially refused to take any responsibility for the misdiagnosis.

Autotech got us back on the road with good grace, good communication, quality work, and honest prices -- even though we were in a pinch and would've been easy prey to extra fees. Highly recommend.

They don't seem to honor their work. They have great excuses of why their incompetence is acceptable...we ended up having to take our vehicle to another shop and have the service done completely over so that the squeaking of the (brand new) brakes would stop... The owner was very aggressive over the ph. And would not take any responsibility for the issue...we like Daves Auto on Tuolumne...not as fancy...but the service is top notch!!!

Incomplete work...substandard service. It is unfortunate that they do not want to make it right...where they are clearly wrong and expect the customer to take the loss on a service that was not done properly. The owner claims: "we didn't know" as if their ignorance is my responsability. I will never trust them with any of my vehicles. Lesson learned!

Once again Auto Tech saved my sanity! This time it was a check engine light - and they found a bad gas cap. Glad to know we can depend on a local shop for Toyota repair!
