I purchased a black SUV and I knew washing and swirl marks would be an issue with most car washes. I found Mohawk Car Wash in North Solana Beach and I have been going there since I purchased the car. The self wash stalls are awesome and easy to use and you can get it done under $8 normally. If you want your car detailed, Cody who runs the Car Wash and also Detailing company there is amazing. He is super knowledgable and can give tips on the best way to care for your car. Especially if you have black! I'm so glad I found this spot so I can keep my truck in great condition. Thanks Cody!

2 of the bays remain flooded after usage; this severely limits the type of footwear you should wear when going to this self car wash. Since there is a $5 mininum charge, you should use the car wash for at least 5 minutes to get your money's worth. I can only speak for the high pressure soap & rinse options; both worked well. Additionally, all of the vacuums only take cash /:

5.00 to 7.50 is all it takes to Rinse, Foam Wash, Rinse, Spot-free Rinse an X5M. The initial charge on your card is $15.00. That's not what the actual cost is so don't get pisssssed. 5 star wash!

I just want to say it was so easy to wash my car and use the pressure washer, you just need to follow the directions and its pretty easy from there. My car got super cleaned and it was better than I had expected having to wash my car on my own. LOL I do have to say that there was a customer near me that was frustrated but it seemed they did not realize this is a do it your self car wash and its not automatic. It was pretty funny to watch that they didn't turn the dial which is the main thing to get it to work. I guess you cant teach common sense! LOL. Highly recommend this place its easy if you follow the directions! ;)

The price is $1-$2 more than other hand car washes. There is a guy seem to be a manager or supervisor who may need to rethink about his behavior in interaction with customers. I can t open it in public but his language and facial expression wasn t appropriate with me and my girlfriend! About their tools, the spray nozzle and vacuum machine is powerful but too short to use for the money you pay.

Apparently you can t use the pressure wash or else the pumps go out. Guy was nice about it at least. But If you ve got specifics because it s an old wash or it can t afford to be up-fitted properly, post clearer signage as to what the system can and can t handle.

I love this car wash. It is conveniently located minutes from my studio, and there is not one thing I would complain about. I follow all steps, and my smoke carbon car dries spotless!

Over the years, I ve gotten used to using do it yourself car washes. I think it s because I always washed my dad s car also has a little kid. Today I had the absolute best do it yourself car wash ever At the mohawk car wash in Solana Beach California. The owner was there and could not have been more helpful; the approach he recommended was the best my car has looked in a long time; he offered to help in anyway; and, in general it was very much like being in a personal service business not a do it yourself business. I can t recommend it more. Fred

Best DIY carwash! The attendant (or maybe he is the owner?), is super friendly and very helpful. I try to go during off hours so I can take my time. Once I am done with the outside of the car, and if it is not busy, I just park to the side, and take my time detailing. I have kids, so I have to clean all the melted candies, cookie crumbs, dried out sticky spills and all other unidentifiable substances from the back seats area; then treat the leather. I bet it takes me 2+ hours to properly clean my car, yet I have never been rushed out.

The car wash service is good but that doesn't mean anything when they TRIPLE charge you for a wash. It should be $5 for 5 minutes but I found out they charged me $15 instead of five. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and went and paid again a different day, however the same thing happened. Please do not pay with card here or don't go at all, I'm sure they know very well what they are doing.

The pressure washer power is truly unbeatable. It's always a good time to train yourself to lower that wash time. Would be five stars out of five for the hand car wash scale but that name... It's not the name so much as it is the logo. Really surprised to see a red painted Native American greeting you... Aren't we over that in 2021?

Best do it yourself car wash! Quality product and reasonable prices. I use them and it is a bit out of the way, they are just better than the rest I have tried. (Full size pickup)

Great do-it-yourself wash with a very helpful attendant from Shine detailing on site to guide and assist when necessary. Appreciate the convenient location, friendly help and the opportunity to clean your car yourself, old school style.

Put a 5 in at 1030 pm for quick soap wash and rinse. Wash , system and lights off 45 seconds in ; went off with soap on hood .First time for everything .

Good car wash, one of the few DIY options in the area. Plenty of soap and spray options. Spot free rinse is a must; it's the reason I gave up on washing at home.

Be careful driving into the bays. There is a steep drop-off in the rear, which will scrape your car.

Rough custom Sevice. Issue with the selector. Was not able to wash the car. Was told I would have to pay another $5 to start process over again because I didn t see other brush.
