A friend recommended them so I decided to check them out. I brought my Tacoma here for service and they ve been great! Richard and the team are honest, humble and helpful. I can ask for solid advice or recommendations and Richard always comes through with honest answers. Great service, communication, transparency and trustworthy! I now bring my Tundra and recommend them to all my friends.

There are only a handful of mechanics/shops that I trust- Rich and the gang at RS are one of them. They re honest, organized, clean, friendly, fair and knowledgeable- kept me on the road and trails for 220000+mi now. I d definitely make the trek to their new location if or when I need to.

I've been servicing and getting work done on my Land Cruiser 200 at RS Automotive Works for almost 4 years now. Richard is a very honest guy, which is very rare in this business. He gives great advise and will not push any services or products on you and will tell it to you straight. RS Automotive Works was previously located a couple of minutes away from my house and is now almost 45 minutes away, and I still don't let anyone touch my truck except Richard.I got most of the aftermarket work on my truck done at a well known shop in Houston when I was living there. I had a ton of electric gremlins and battery issues pop up due to poor installation. Richard went through and diagnosed all of it to identify the issue and solve it. I had taken it to two other well experienced shops in LA that couldn't figure it out.If you're thinking about doing aftermarket work on your truck, no matter how complicated, or just need a service done, Richard is your guy.

I own a Lexus SC300 & was lucky enough to find Richard (The owner) at RS Automotive. From the get-go he knew a lot about my car since he has personal experience with the SC300 platform & that gave me a lot of confidence that he can take good care of my car.His old La Crescenta shop used to be minutes away from me (Pasadena), but I am willing to drive to his new shop in Simi Valley for great service, his knowledge & attention to detail. The owner and head mechanic Rich has been my mechanic for years. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all things related to cars, especially Lexus and Toyota. He treats all my vehicles as his own. Definitely an asset to the community and I'm excited he finally opened up his own shop! Thanks RS Automotive Works and welcome to the neighborhood!

Richard and his crew are the best. I've brought my Tacoma and my wife's Lexus to these guys several times. Each time we drive out, we drive out knowing that our vehicles will be on the road for a long time before having to bring them back. I've brought our vehicles here for breakes, engine work, air censors and catalytic convert. Richard and his guys rock. Highly recommend.

This is a quality family run shop--hubby and wife--with owner proprietor a veteran mechanic especially Toyotas, who will take care of your vehicle in a trustworthy manner. Not the cheapest, but one will GET what they pay for while being happy that they did!

Richard and his team at RS did an outstanding job making my FJ offrorad worthy. Recently purchased my FJ from a neglectful owner that put on years of abuse and neglect... RS rebulit the six speed transmission and installed a centerforce clutch & Clutchmaster throwout along with other driveline parts. I now feel like its ready for the mega steep trails that Big Bear has to offer.

100% recommend. I trust him with my cars.Richard KNOWS Toyotas. He s a Toyota Master Tech.He s replaced the HV battery in my Prius and now it runs great.He s worked on my A/C in my GX470.He owns Toyotas himself.Honest. Knowledgeable. Great guy.I feel lucky to have found a mechanic I can trust.

RS Automotive Works is the BEST ! Simi Valley gained a fantastic mechanic. Richard diagnosed a problem with my Tacoma and fixed it right away. He also got to the bottom of a problem with a 2007 FJ. He is honest and fair. His shop is clean and Soha has made the office and waiting area perfect. I left my ipad there are they went out of their way to deliver it to my house that evening!! I will never go anyplace else !

I ve been to several mechanics in La Crescenta, including dealerships, and none have matched the honesty and expertise of Richard. After having a terrible experience elsewhere, he was a breath of fresh air. He fixed my car to the point where I felt completely confident driving it again. Even though he's moved from La Crescenta to Simi Valley, the quality of his work makes the drive absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

This was my first time at RS Automotive Works & they made me feel like home. They didn t make me feel uncomfortable when I asked them questions about car and different parts. 10/10 stars!!! I can t say enough amazing things about this shop. Richard was incredible. Raul was absolutely awesome. We came in to check the health of a car before buying it. They were thorough, prompt, efficient, and honest about the status of the vehicle. The waiting area is impeccably clean, organized, well-lit, beautifully decorated and was a joy to wait inside. Richard and his team are so thorough and so fast! I felt well taken care of as he honestly informed me what needed to be done now and what could be done later. Got myself some 295 BFG's on my lifted 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Did they look sick? -- yes, but rubbed like crazy. Got a BMC (body mount chop) and an alignment at RS Automotive the same week I called. I contacted several other shops like a good saver should (since I spent all my money on the lift, tires, and gas, jk) and this shop had the best price and availability. BMC looked great, couldn't even tell they did anything. All I know is I can drive without sounding like I'm destroying my truck and can spend more money to get even bigger tires now. I am a certified mall crawler who is now able to run over sidewalks and parking blocks with ease. Will return for another alignment.I worked with Richard who was very informative and answered all my questions. They are really busy, so you know they have to be a good shop with people who trust them. The pictures of the waiting room are real folks. I'm used to the dirty ripped leather couch shoved at the corner of the garage next to a diarrhea stained restroom. This waiting room has a TV, fluffy couch, wifi, desks, AC, and was CLEAN.Services: Body & Trim, Wheel alignment

I have owned 40, 60, 80, 100 and now 200 series LCs, so I know my way around these vehicles - and can appreciate quality service. I had RS Automotive install (and tune) an Icon stage 4 suspension in my 200. Given the 2-3 suspension mfg options for this LC, Rich provided guidance and suggestions on which setup was best matched for my intended use. In 3 months I have logged 10k miles on roads and trails from AZ, NM, CA, OR, WA. While I miss my 80 series, the 200 w/Icon is a brilliant combo.The only thing better than the ICON upgrade was my service experience from RS's crew. Honest, dependable and fair prices.
