Went in for an oil change and tire rotation and was early for my appointment.The moron at the desk said with an attitude that I was early and seemed annoyed, I politely said that I d wait and didn t ask to been seen before my scheduled time. Who knew punctuality could be offensive.The oil change was sloppily done, there were greasy finger prints on the driver s door and later on when I popped the hood there was spilled oil all over the engine bay, filler neck and even on the fan shroud.I realize that these days finding a competent shop is tough enough but sloppy work is almost as bad and what all customers see.This would have been a 3-star but the sloppiness even more than the moron at the desk make it a 2.Thanks for responding but it s pretty self explanatory, more manager oversight is needed to see how vehicles are being turned out to customers.The door and the mess under the hood is inexcusable.It s not PB as a whole, it s this location.Glad to hear that you re doing something about it ..which is the point of this.

Had a very good experience. Courtney up at the front desk really helped me out, communicating every step of my service with me. I also asked Jose some questions over the phone prior to my appointment and it helped streamline service to get my car ready to rock the very same day. Thanks, y'all!

After I posted the below review the store manager contacted me and did his best to make it right by giving me almost the same deal I originally had.After doing much research, I preordered 4 tires with installation and alignment at Pep Boys because they had the best deal at the time. I made an appointment and showed up on time. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes the manager tells me the tires were the wrong size - I used Pep Boys recommended tire size (they were off by one inch) - he tells me they have the right tires but after calling the boss he said they won t honor the deal I had reserved and it would cost way more. I left. Rip off. Horrible customer service.

I made an appointment for 1030a and my daughter brought the car in at 1015a. After waiting over two hours and only after I called to complain to service manager Jose, they finally started work on the car. I was told that this would take no more than an hour to put new tires on the car and instead, it took two hours and 55 minutes. When I questioned Jose about the delay, I was told that they got busy. What is the point of making an appointment if you are not going to honor it? To add insult to injury, they told my daughter that the car needed new brakes and new rotors but when I took it to my regular mechanic, he said the rotors were fine. In my opinion, these guys are just trying to rip people off for all they can get. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I will NEVER go back there again.

This is the best experience so far that I have encountered with needing repairs to my car they gave me the best price in town and the mechanic Salvador was very knowledgeable in what was wrong with my vehicle the front desk staff Jose and Kourtney were able to give me a fair price and scheduled appointment times well all in all will definitely be returning and referring to friends and family

Scion XB 2012, buy 2 tires get 2 free! Amazing deal, they charged an extra 100$ for the wheel alignment because it was necessary, and free brakes check. Omni American Tourer 205/55R1691W, 50000 miles prorated. Total cost $466,67. The job was done by Mr. Sal.

A store located at the very end of the shopping center, this Pep Boys had staff that helped me in a couple of areas. The first was the need for something that would cosmetically fix the paint on my car. The staff helped me find some rubbing compound, although they did not look at my car parked right out front. In the end, the stuff did not work.The second issue involved a concern I had about my battery. Well, not MY battery - I'm not Iron Man or anything - but my car's battery. So I pulled it around the side of the building and Klaus (the Man!) tested it. He advised the battery may be dying, and suggested several options for replacement... all at no charge (get it? Battery, "no charge"? Sigh... I'll see myself out now.).

Service was quick and thorough and they were happy to apply all available discounts. I have used this Pep Boys location since moving to Simi Valley a few years ago, and they are always helpful even if it's just to check tire pressure etc. Cannot recommend them more highly.

*Should be Negative Stars**On 05/06/23 I (Roger Castro) took my girlfriends van (Jeany McConnell) 2005 Dodge Caravan VIN# 1D4GP25R05B249409 License # CA5JDL513 to Pep Boys Simi Valley to be inspected for a slight smell of gasoline. Later that day they called and said that it was a fuel pump that needed replacement and that the cost would be $954 with taxes total to fix the problem,and they stated that the work would come with a warranty and they could complete the work that day. I agreed and they completedthe work that afternoon and (Service work Invoice #2186302 Store Id# 0619) was issued with receipt,BAR# ARD303419. They were in a rush to close shop and go home, but they assured me that everything was fixedand good to go. After a few weeks of the Van driving but feeling like it was sluggish or lacked acceleration, it wouldn'tstart on 05/27/23. My immediate assumption was that the fuel pump that was recently installed was not done correctly or in itself was defective. I was at my residence in Hermosa Beach, Ca and called the closest Pep Boys Store #0814in Redondo Beach. They were reluctant to help at first and said they were busy because of Memorial Day weekend,which I understood but told them that Pep Boys had done the work and since it is a Corporation they have to honorthe warranty and they agreed and the Van was brought in 05/27/23. Work Order# 2271588 Store Id #0814 BAR# ARD303462 I disagreed that I should have to pay another $99 for them to do a inspection on what I feel was already paid on the previous work order but I wanted to get it resolved. This is when the nightmare really started to unravel. Edwin C and Carlos Molina (Service Mgr)ordered another fuel pump which in reality is an admission that the previous work was done incorrectly. After installing in and weeks of follow up going by Carlos stated that parts of the fuel system were damaged (fuel pump relay, fuel pump assembly) in my 100% opinion it was done by Pep Boys either on the first install or the second. Then Carlos states he can't find the exact part (anywhere) that he needs to fix the issue so then they start checking junk yards which is really insane because our van is not a salvage vehicle. They've tried changing thefuel tank multiple times, epoxy, and the reality is they can't pressurize the fuel system. My girlfriend Jeany and I have reached out a bunch of times and there is no resolution in sight. We've been out of use of our vehicle since 05/27/23 and Carlos states that he emailed upper management after I asked specifically for a resolution as just refunding our $954 is completely unacceptable. The Van with an evap leak and a check engine light on is essentially a totaled vehicle because Ca will not re-register such vehicle. I asked for upper management to reach out, no response from Carlo's email.I called 1-800-Pepboys and was told they would reach out "no response." This is horrible customer service, as everyone that's ever had mechanic work done it's never inexpensive, which is part of the industry a lot of $$$ goes to labor. But also mechanics who are licensed in Ca are required to carry insurance for this very instance. They damaged our vehicle while trying to fix it, and admittedly cannot fix it now. We want our vehicle fixed correctly either by another mechanic at Pep Boys expense, or fair market value of our van that is now not going to pass a smog check allowing us to drive legally in Ca + 100% refund of our $954 which is fair.Roger CastroJeany McConnell

I had an exceptional experience at Pep Boys in Simi Valley, thanks to Diana, the manager, and Edris, the master technician. They truly went above and beyond to make a bad situation great. Initially, there was a problem with the work done on my car, but Diana and Edris were quick to address it and made sure everything was corrected to my satisfaction.From the moment I walked in, Diana's professionalism and warmth put me at ease. She listened attentively to my concerns and ensured that I felt heard. Edris, the master technician, displayed unparalleled expertise in diagnosing and resolving the issues with my car.He explained the repairs in a clear and understandable manner, giving me peace of mind about the work being done. Edris's attention to detail was remarkable, especially when it came to rectifying the initial mistake. He took great pride in his work and made sure it was done correctly this time.Together, Diana and Edris turned what could have been a stressful and costly repair into a seamless and pleasant experience. Thanks to their dedication and competence, I now feel safe driving my car again. I can't recommend them and Pep Boys in Simi Valley enough for their exceptional service. They've earned my trust, and I'll be a loyal customer from here on out.

Nice people working there.Just they forgot to rotate my tires. Oil change service no complaints.But they added more expenses to me.Because I had to take my car to tire shop for rotation.

I am highly appreciative and grateful for Richard the manager of the tire department of the Simi Valley pep boys store. . He was very professional and helpful with my tires and alignment and oil change purchase on November 25th 2022 I would highly recommend a bonus and a evaluation on his great expertise to the customers that walk through the door.I ve seen how he treats the customers and it s above and beyond.

I have a flat tire in my car. I came to your store three times and didn t check it out. It was just inflated. I wanted to buy a new tire. If I didn t want to buy a new tire, the manager in the store said he was busy and wouldn t repair it in a short time. I went to another shop for repairs. Luckily the other shop fixed my tire perfectly.

Unfortunately I had to wait in the lobby for my vehicle which needed all new rear light bulb replacement and I was in and out within an hour! Fast and courteous. Prices seem to have risen but that is what has happened across the board over the last several years

UPDATE: Still stellar service. Robert was able to negotiate pricing for me when I was really low on funds. He saved me a great deal of money on a critical repair I needed done. These guys won't go after you wallets. You can trust them for fair and acomodating prices out the door.The guys here at this particular Pep Boys really helped me out. I took my car in for new brakes for squeeking and they had me look under the car with them to see that the car didn't need brakes or rotors just yet and that the squeak was a cosmetic thing for now. They told me that the noise could be fixed right now for 450$ if I wanted or I could come back at a later time. They also helped me diagnose something that a dealer warranty was supposed to have covered already which I took in twice now. They sent me on my way and when I asked how much I owed them. They said it was free of charge. I feel helped out completely and like I wasn't someone they tried to take advantage of. This is the service I look for. Thanks. I will be coming back here from now on for my services.

I rent my cars for work. The service plan is thru Pep Boys. A few years back I dreaded it. Horrible to find an appointment, always making a mountain out of a mole hill resulting in having to make a trip to LAX to have the corporate service team to look at it. Not anymore! I think I found THEE place to get my service done. I put about 4000-5000 miles a month on the cars for work. I actually look forward to going in. I stopped by today just for a head light (no way I'm paying for one myself on a rental) No appointment 10 minutes I was out the door.Fricken people even call me by name when I walk in the door. Its like Cheers! I HIGHLY recommend this Pep Boys over any other.If I lived next door to any other Pep Boys I would still go to this one.Sorry I'm horrible with names. Rob, I think, sorry. You got a good team and you make a great first face when people walk through the door.SERVICE! PERSONABLE, HONEST!
