Affordable Auto Repair definitely lived up to their name and more! Kasidee and J.C. provide quality service at a low/affordable price. Kasidee is extremely accommodating (thank you again!). J.C., mechanic, takes time to provide all the details. Superior team and service. Definitely my new mechanic in Simi Valley!!

It is difficult to put into words just how Affordable Auto came through for us. My partner and I were 1000 miles from home when our check engine light came on and were soon after besieged by a misfiring engine. It was coming up on New Year's and we had to get home. Dealerships and other shops told us were were out of luck and they couldn't get to it until mid-January. When I called Affordable Auto, I told the young lady answering the phone (Cassie) our situation and that we were basically desperate, and five minutes later she called me back and told me they could get us in. They put aside their other jobs to make us a priority. It turns out that rats had nested in our engine block and eaten through a great deal of wiring. Rather than upselling us like a dealership would, they fixed the problem that was there. The price was surprisingly low considering the time and labor that went into the repair. When we left for home and the check engine light briefly flashed on again, they even came back to the shop after closing hours to make sure we were OK with no additional charge. He (CJ) even asked us to update him on our trip home to know we were OK. We cannot speak highly enough of the service or the concern for our situation. This review is highly deserved and we will never forget what they did for us.Service: Electrical repair

I have been going to Scotty for 15 years. I can't tell you how many times I have braced myself for a huge estimate only to have it come in hundreds of dollars less than expected. One time it was even free because the part was under warranty. I don't know cars. A dishonest mechanic could pretty easily take me. Scotty and the whole Affordable crew are the best!Service: Auto maintenance

Scotty has kept both of our cars running for the past five years. Always friendly, and he does a great job. We just had our final check-up and repairs, since we are moving soon. We will miss having a mechanic we can trust.

Scotty the owner has been doing my car and my families cars for years. He does an amazing job and is very honest and gives accurate estimates for auto repairs. He won't take you for all you got. Great customer service. All around trustworthy and honest. !! 5 Stars!

I don't know how these people could have a 4.4 star rating.My experience with affordable has been a nightmare. For the past 8 months I have been back to get thing fixed or adjusted. I paid for a rebuild engine & the installation. Right from the start it had exhaust leak at the engine, lifters were not adjusted and a oil leak as well. Now months later I stall have issues with the truck.Every time I bring the truck in to fix something that should have been done right the first time something else go wrong. I don't think they check there work. The Quality of work I have received has been nothing but terrible.Scotty has some serious issues with the people who work on the vehicles. Sad to say because Scotty I think tries to give good customer service.

I have been bringing my 5 cars to Affordable for many years now. Old cars and new cars they repair them all quickly and completely the first time! I even had an entire new transmission installed in just 2 days. It could have taken weeks at the dealer. Scotty, the owner, gives such personal customer service. They pick me up and drop me off from my house. Don't go anywhere else!

I basically towed in my car and brought a bag of parts to Scotty a few years back from a car repair shop that was raking me across the coals, price wise, for something that shouldn't have cost that much. Scotty fixed my car and charged me less than what the job was worth. (believe me, I checked) I've been bringing all my vehicles to him ever since. He even fixed a little electronic scooter for me AND DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME! So, would I recommend his shop? Absolutely!

After spending 3 years going through every auto repair service in Simi Valley and not being even slightly satisfied I turned in frustration to Affordable Auto. That was 8 years ago and I still bring all 3 of my cars to Scotty, even though one of them is still under warranty. He always comes up to or under his original estimates, guarantees his work doesn't use cheap parts AND has reasonable prices. Take your car here and stop messing around with the other, less affordable and less dependable service shops like I did.

I have been a customer since 2007 and Scotty has always provided me with honest estimates for repairs I truly needed unlike some Dealerships who try to pad repairs. A rarity among Auto Repair shops nowadays. Scotty's mechanics, Nam and Christian, excel in their field and have over 26+ years of combined experience. I highly recommend this auto repair shop for all vehicles.

Scotty was very cordial from the moment I called, all through the service of my car. My dealer quoted me nearly $500 for my scheduled 20,000 mile service, scotty got me down to less than 100. No Joke. Highly recommended, I will be returning for all future services.

I took my Honda to this shop a few months ago. I was told due to it "smoking so badly" when they had it on the rack, I needed a new engine. When I asked the owner why it was smoking on the rack, but not when I dropped it off nor when I picked it up, he had no explanation. He simply re-stated I needed a new engine. He offered to get some quotes and call me back. I am still waiting for that call; but it's a moot point since I changed out my ignition wires and all was fine again with the car.

I took my car in to have a mutlipoint inspection done on it. He didn't even charge me anything. He compiled a list for me and gave me advice on which ones I should do first and which ones can wait. He never tried to say anything had to be done right then and there. When I took my car in for him to work on it. It was quick and I never felt pressured. I wish I found him first when I needed my transmission to be worked on lol. Definitely going back to him for everything.

Scotty has been a god send when it comes to a trusted auto repair service. I lost my god mother to a faulty auto repair job. I have no worries at all about work under Scotty's supervision.

Not honest at all. They did not do a full diagnosis on my car for the $100 they charged just to look at it and ended up costing me lots more at another repair shop. I will not recommend this place. Very shady shop.
