They do fantastic work! Rats had chewed my window washer hoses and a little bit on my battery sensor wire. Fixed within a day and I was able to pick up the next morning.

Mats and everyone there are great, knowledgeable, and prompt. Prices are very reasonable, and if Mats can't fix something, he will direct you to someone who can. Call ahead to make sure he fixes your make/model.

Mats and his crew at Karsten Imports have maintained my 2011 Honda CR-V for the better part of the past 4 years and with 240,000+ miles now on it, I don't think I would have made it here without them. He's replaced my wheel bearings, suspension, engine mounts, A/C fan and compressor, catalytic converter & power steering pump, to name a few.Mats always gives me timely updates when I'm in for service and is honest about what repairs he finds that are necessary, suggested and something to plan for for the future and he always comes in well below what it would cost at the dealership. I couldn't ask for a better mechanic. Reliable, honest hardworking business man. Very knowledgeable about all makes and models. Owner is hands on & if he doesn't know the answer he will find out & refer you to the right service provider for your car needs. So refreshing to know you're not being hustled or overcharged for repairs.

I have been going to Karsten Imports since Karsten was still there. Mats was there then too. Mats is an excellent mechanic and really knows his cars. But most importantly, he is honest. There have been times when Mats told me what I could do to fix something (because it was simple) rather than to charge me. How many mechanics/ business owners do you know that would do something like that?

My wife and I didn't believe there was such a thing as a "Honest Mechanic" until we met Mats. Mats is truly a honest, highly skilled, experienced and reasonable mechanic. He is also a great guy.

Mat s is an excellent and trustworthy mechanic. He treats my 96 accord like it s a 16. I live in the Bay Area but when I travel to LA, I will only have him work on my baby!
