These folks over promise and under deliver. Kate only seems to be represented by her plaques on the wall. Ladies in the office and guys on the floor. Went in for an oil change on a well maintained 2016 Honda, 68,000 miles, and they found almost $2227 in repairs in their "estimate". I asked for the serpentine belt after the 30,000 mile early job and they could not supply it. I will never go back and would warn anyone about putting trust in this shop.

Not only did they squeeze me in, they gave me a loaner car so I could get my shopping done as well. In addition they inspected the vehicle after the service and pointed out some additional maintenance issues to be addressed. I believe they also washed the car as well. Definitely 5 star service.

Thank you for taking the time to explain to me exactly what my car needed to be running in good working order so that I can be safe to and from my destinations. You have amazing talented technicians that really know what they re doing and I feel completely comfortable and safe leaving my car there knowing it s going to be coming back in excellent working condition. I appreciate the owner Kate for coming out and taking the time to talk to me and give me a few options on how to keep a simple maintenance on my vehicle. K-tech was recommended to me by a coworker who s gotten lots of work done at this shop. Everyone there was genuinely helpful, especially Ms. Selena (I believe) Id recommend them as a great local shop Update: I also got my oil changed yesterday and felt like this is the shop to go to. Staff is always super friendly, mechanics are very knowledgeable, and their care/attention to detail is unmatched. Thank you for being such an amazing shop!

Seemed a bit on the expensive side for the repair. Parts only added up to $200, but labor was over 2K for only a day worth of work. I had already diagnosed the problem, but was still charged over $200 for the diagnostic fee. Was hoping it could have worked out, but decided to move on. Ladies at the desk are very nice, that's why I gave three stars.

Amazing experience!! I brought my truck in with multiple front end problems, and with in two days I had my truck back and it drives like when i fist bought it. Kat is who greets you in the office, and she does so with a amazing smile. Shes professional and assures you and instantly you know your in good hands. I appreciate a mechanic who knows his stuff. 11/10 stars, couldn t recommend enough. Originally found out about K Tech through their work with the community and giving back to local community members and nonprofits. I started using them for oil changes and have received the best, most honest service. Also, recently forgot to pick up my car on time and they called and made sure I had access to my car- I was so thankful! Highly highly recommend!

So expensive! I was blown away. They charged me $100 just to do a diagnostic and never even let me speak to the mechanic about my car. Not a pleasant experience. don't go here if you don't want to break bank for no reason.

I am so impressed by their honesty...I thought something was broken on my car.they diagnosed and fixed and only charged me diagnostic price. So much integrity...they could have scammed me but they didn't. I am now a devout customer.

Rodents got into the engine compartment of my hybrid Chevy Volt and chewed some wiring; Tia of K-Tech told me they have a certified hybrid mechanic, so I had the car towed to their shop. They found the bad wiring immediately and gave me a detailed and prompt estimate. The work was completed on time, on budget and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely return to their shop for routine oil changes, tire rotations and such. I'm glad to have found them; a pleasure to deal with.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic

Very professional clean shop, friendly staff. Thought the car might need a new starter but Johnny checked it out and it only needed a battery. Saved a lot of money. These people are honest and fair and I totally trust them with all my car repairs.

Never, ever use K-Tech. They absurdly overcharge for any type of vehicle repair or service. I always knew this, but my most recent experience with them will make it so I will never use them again and I will let every person possible know they should avoid them at all costs (pun intended).My breaks needed replacement and I called to ask them what it would cost me. They said, "Between $800-$1000, but we will need to look at it to know for sure." I found this reasonable and brought my car in. Of course they had to charge me for an 'inspection' even though none was required; a little kid could tell you I needed new breaks on my car. They said, "Oh we will waive that charge if you proceed with repair with us." Again, I found this reasonable IF their original quote came through. They then told me it would cost $1700 for breaks! I looked at their quote and they doubled the cost of parts (you can google these things) and labor was also outrageous. So I then paid them $115 for them to tell me I need new breaks (gee thanks K-Tech), just to bring the car down 116 to an absolutely wonderful mechanic.This alternative mechanic was truly excellent, trustworthy, and charged me $700 out the door to replace the breaks (note same exact parts as what K-Tech quoted me for).Do yourself a favor, do not ever go to K-Tech. Support other, quality, small businesses in the area. The folks at K-Tech are unethical and I hope you choose not to support them.Service: Brakes

Got a quick oil change. They did a free vehicle inspection and found a crack in the undercarriage. They shared some photos, explained what it meant, and what symptoms I might start to notice down the road so that I knew it when it was becoming a dire situation to fix. Will come back!

Amazing! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Customers are treated like family. They care about the community and are in the business of helping people, fair business, and doing right work. They are honest, sincere, thorough, and overall amazingly good humans! I have anxiety, and I can be a "difficult customer" sometimes. I am so impressed by how compassionate and supportive they are consistently. I feel confident in their work and have continued to bring my car there for maintenance and major repairs for several years now. A wonderful place just like home. Thank you K-tech!

Place is just not good. Asked for a warranty inspection after spending $5000 in repairs. Scheduled the day before. Delivered car at 10 am. By 3 pm they hadn't even looked at it. Said the technician "went down an electrical rabbit hole" with another vehicle. Performed no service, charged me another $100. What a ripoff. I bought a used car and took it in for a check up and they did only the services that I requested. What was really amazing is they included an inspection of vehicle and the report they produced was extremely thorough. The detailed report provided pictures showing areas of concern and they provided a copy that was emailed to me. The car was returned washed and tires were detailed and looked sparking. And they even provided a 2-year 24,000 mile Nationwide warranty. All this was well worth the money.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement

K-Tech advertises that they are great support for women customers so that they don't get ripped off. Well, I am telling you, don't go to K-Tech no matter who you are! First, it took over 40 minutes to check me in and I was the first one there! Totally disorganized. Then they gave me the most disgusting loaner car in the universe; the seat covers were old, ripped and stained and it stank to high heaven in that car. They changed the oil when I had told them not o since it had just been done. Charged me way too much for some basic stuff like changing filters etc. THEN the estimate they gave me for the work needed on my car was a ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS HIGHER ESTIMATE than the estimate I got from a very reputable automotive repair shop in my same area for the exact same work. Yep. One thousand dollars higher!! Not kidding.Then they put license plate frames on my car, advertising their services. No way.

My Explorer was there for 5 weeks while they tried to find out what was wrong with it.I finally had it towed to another shop and I wanted to put a Big Sign on the side of my car saying: Another Happy K Tech Customer !I wasted over $1000.00 there and their recommendation for further work was Incorrect.My Explorer is now fixed thanks to another shop and I'm still waiting for K Tech's owner to respond to my phone call 3 business days ago.Their website says Owned & Operated by a Mercedes Benz master technician but that is pretty far from the truth !Stay Away unless you have Tons of time and money to BURN .3 weeks later: Still no phone call from Owner after repeated requests !!!5 weeks later: After repeated requests to speak with Kate with NO RESPONSE, I'm Done.My dispute has been accepted by my credit card and I couldn't be Happier.Next step: reports to both BAR and BBB

K-Tech has been awesome. We moved to Sebastopol recently and needed to have our car serviced and found K-Tech online. We were attracted by their commitment to being Green and their support of the community in addition to being a woman-owned company. They've been super responsive to our needs. We had an emergency radiator failure on the way home with 3 dogs in the car. After getting it towed to K-Tech near the end of a work day, they ordered the radiator right away so we could have the car the next day AND let us use a loaner car. In addition, their office manager, Monica, manages to be kind and efficient. We love K-Tech.

Booked an appointment for 9AM on Monday the week prior. I called earlier than the appointment and notified we would be late. I was not advised of any issues or potential delays. Appointment arrived at 930. A printer problem delayed the vehicle being worked on until 10:37. We were quoted $319 for an alignment. Then we saw the vehicle LEAVE THE FACILITY being driven by an employee to their "other shop that has an alignment machine" at 10:39.11:13 the car comes back and is "complete".$319 for less than 30 minutes of work, including a short drive.This was the most absurd alignment job ever.They kept us waiting for an HOUR, spent 30 minutes with the vehicle and had the nerve to charge us the maximum of the estimated amount.Do not use this shop, you will not get any value from the experience.Service: Wheel alignment

So the first time I had went here I had a great experience. But lately, I might as well be invisible! I had my fuel pump changed and my truck has run like CRAP ever since. I've taken my truck back, they checked it - supposedly, and said everything is in great working order. hmmm...really?! Then, additional services were quoted and then the price changed when I actually scheduled the service (for instance, I was quoted $300 for a new water pump, then after I scheduled the appointment and just before I dropped my truck off I called to confirm the 'quote'. I was then told the cost would be $689. Excuse me?!) Then, services were offered, but whenever I've called to get those services, my calls go unanswered. So, bottom line, perhaps the service is good the First time around.First time experience: I had my oil changed about a month ago at another auto place in Santa Rosa, I asked them to check my brakes because I had heard a squealing noise. They checked them and told me I had about 30% brake pad left on my rear brakes and not to worry. About a week or so later the noise got worse. It sounded like a grinding noise - metal to metal. I called around to several auto shops and the only place that would get me in the same day was K-TECH. Jack, the service manager sounded genuinely concerned when I told him about the noise I was hearing. I took my truck in, they looked at it and told me it was a dangerous situation. I had them order the parts and they replaced my brakes and routers the next day. They were super friendly and efficient. Jack called me a week after K-TECH replaced my brakes to see if I was experiencing any issues. He asked me to call him within the next couple of days and let him know how the brakes are working. K-TECH knows CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Something that I think many of today's businesses lack. Monica at K-tech was courteous, professional, and helped me problem solve the issues with my car. Upon doing a routine oil leak fix, they discovered my distributor was shot. They informed me and even helped me fix an issue with my car idling low that had been coming up recently. Overall very professional crew and great customer service at Ktech, I would recommend them!

I brought my rav4 in for front brakes and rotors. I told the girl at the front desk that I needed brakes and rotors and left my keys. I received a call shortly after informing me that it would be around $1300 for just front brakes and rotors and to adjust the rear drum brakes. I was at a loss for words because $1300 for brakes is outrageous (I ended up taking my car to jiffy lube, who did them for $300). When I went to get my car back from K tech, the nice girl at the counter informed me that I owed $90 for their inspection . That s right, they charged me $90 to tell me exactly what I already knew. This is a classic example of shady mechanics trying to overcharge customers. I m sure they get away with it every day. I ve found that firestone in santa rosa is a much better shop with honest mechanics.

I have dealt with the employees at K-Tech on many occasions. They are always very professional and strive for outstanding service. They guarantee all their work. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Courtesy cars are available at no cost. Great Customer service is their goal.
