Chip and staff were very professional and helpful. He explained the planned service and included an estimate of cost. Upon completion of the oil change and tire rotation they noticed a knot in the sidewall of one of my tires. He recommended at my request two tire dealers. Excellent service! I highly recommend them!

Everyone was very nice, competent, accommodating and responsive. It was a simple oil change and check in for my first service - so I have little to say about more complex jobs. I'll certainly return to Golden Gear Automotive in the future!

They are a good repair shop but I felt I was overcharged. We have a second car that doesn t get a lot of miles that needed to be smogged. it didn t pass on the first time and they told us to drive it 150 miles and they ll check it again. I did and it passed but they charged full price for 5 minutes of work. I don t expect anything for free, but I did feel a discount would ve been fair since it was the second time, and hardly took any amount of time at all. I used to have a shop a long time ago and if someone had to come back a second time, we always gave them a break

Like a Dr appointment they tell you about all that is happening with you(your car) and go over the most important, pressing issues. You could have them fix it all and keep your car always at 100% or listen to what they think needs to be fixed now. Very transparent and genuine people.

I went here for an oil change and preventative maintenance inspection. I was told that my axle was damaged and that they recommended replacing it (the quote was for $1100). I didn t take their recommendation because I just needed an oil change and had a service appointment coming up with my trusted mechanic. I went to my service appointment today and was told that my axle was absolutely fine, and that the clamp was just loose (which they replaced free of charge). They let me know that a new axle would have been around $400-$500. Bummed about the fact that there are still mechanics who will take advantage of what they perceive to be an easy target. I would advise getting a second opinion for any service recommendations given by this shop.

Glad to have found golden gear. I first went in for a smog on one of my vehicles and Alex squeezed me in, even though an appt is preferable. Then I decided to bring my older truck in for some repairs (ac was out, brake issues, engine light) all findings and costs were explained to me clearly by Chip. My truck was ready in the estimated time frame I was provided. Great to have a local trustworthy shop.

I have only gone to Golden Gear several times, and have been treated only with professionalism and courtesy. My daughter, on the other hand, has been there many times with her old Camry. She really likes GG.

The Golden Gear technician was available to come to my home, which is fairly close to their garage, to pick up my car, perform the smog service and bring the car back. No charge! This saved me a huge headache to get this smog service done promptly!

Had an oil change which seems to be going up in price every year, but I go to Golden Gear for all my maintenance and repairs because they are thorough and alert me to any other issues which I wouldn't know about otherwise. They are user friendly and I know my car will be taken well care of.

Amazing service at Golden Gear and highly recommended! As a woman, I felt totally respected and like they assumed I was competent, even when I had to ask questions about certain things. They fixed my original problem and when they found another issue they actually let me know how I could handle it on my own outside the shop, which was awesome because it saved me several hundred dollars. The great communication, timely service, and honest work were all highly appreciated and are why I would 100% go back there and recommend them to anyone needing car service!

Came in for an oil change, which also includes a preventative maintenance inspection (great surprise). They gave my car a thorough inspection. Which will list what is needed by priority. They are honest, professional and friendly. Chip answered my questions. I really recommend them.

I came in without an appointment and they accommodated me. Initially checking my battery to make sure it was good because we had problems starting the car. Determined that it had been driven long enough in order to do the smog check brought me a chair to sit on, while I waited for the 15 minute smog, which took much less time. Was able to get me in fast. Unfortunately after diagnosing my van they failed to reseal my doghouse and also broke off my rear view mirror. When I asked about the mirror they said ,"it got too hot and fell off." If they lie about something as simple as that im not sure i can trust them with an actual issue. I didn't even care about the mirror but I expect honesty.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
