Monterey Tire Service saved my long weekend vacation. Me and my family traveling from LA to Monterey Bay, just right before we reached our destination, we got targeted and tired got stabbed at Salinas, CA. We tow the car to Volvo dealer at Monterey Bay. It's Saturday morning. Unfortunately, the dealer did not have my tire at the moment. And they cannot place an order during the weekend. Which means I have to wait until Monday to place an order and the tire won't be delivered until Tuesday. However, we did finally find a Monterey Tire Service that is willing to place an order for me right the way, and it will be delivered on Monday morning, which is the last day of our vacation. Bill was the person that I talked to and he helped me to get my tire replaced. I really appreciate everything that he did for me.

Had a nail in my tire while traveling and needed a patch fast. Neighboring business wanted to replace both tires despite the nail being in the tread.This is the place to go when you need it done, quickly, right, and for the fair price.Was in/out in under 30 minutes after dropping in.100% recommend

Wow! I am impressed, I had a nail in my tire last night, called the next morning they had reasonably priced tires (4) in stock and ready to install. First come first served. So I got there before 9 on Saturday which is so handy! They were very honest about the condition of my current tires and gave me the best option to change the placement and only buy 2 tires. Probably in and out in less than 45 minutes, will definitely come here again for future tires, new hub caps and maintenance etc.

The white lady working in the front has a really bad attitude and obviously doesn't want to work there or doesn't like her job but regardless if you aren't content with your job or place in life how about you work on it and fix yourself instead of spreading that negativity around! Only good thing about this place is the free air I got for my flat tires to go to a different place near In N Out!!! All these other reviews must be fake or from paid sponsors because I don't see any of that positivity here!

We got a flat tire traveling to Monterey from out of town. Monterey Tire Service was the only place that had a replacement tire in stock. I m seriously amazed at how fast we were in and out of there and the service was great. I definitely recommend Monterey Tire Service 5 stars all the way!

First of all, went to talk to the woman in the office about new tires and an alignment. She was very rude and the tires were very expensive. After finding tires at a price that wouldn't break the bank, went back to Mty Tires for an alignment (truck was too big for the place we got the tires), They refused, as the tires were purchased elsewhere.

Love that it was knocked out right away, but plz motivate ur workers to smile and acknowledge customers. The attitude that was displaced was uncomfortable and blurted out an answer instead of addressing us. Just saying give the a raise or something. I'll try one more time for the follow up.

I got great service & good pricing from Bill when I needed new tires. Best to get an alignment as well when purchasing $$ tires so they last longer and you go straight on the road, William did the alignment.

We were on a long road trip and the tire pressure light came on in the car. We stopped at this tire shop and in less than an hour they checked the tire pressure and inflated all the tires. No charge. We appreciated the quick service.

As a 43 year veteran of the automotive repair field, former tire shop manager, and auto technology instructor I recommend ALL my family, friends, and customers to Bill and Paul at Monterey Tire. Quality, service, and price are the best. Never had any problems with this place in several hundred transactions. No they didn't pay me to say this.

I have been taking all my personal and work vehicles to Monterey Tire for over 20 years. I found that they are honest and stand behind their work. Paul has always treated us as family and I wouldn't think of using anyone else. They truly are the best.

I'm a previous customer and I wanted to get a quote and try and do business with them again. I have always dealt with bill. I emailed them and asked for a quote, I had mentioned what I have seen price wise and such because I'm getting prices. I don't know much about the cost of tires so I do what anyone does and get some quotes. I never asked for anything free.. I just wanted to know what their quote was and got this gem of an email back from Paul. Instantly lost us as customers ".Hi JessicaIt sounds like your looking for the cheapest prices and a free alignment. Have fun looking but we will pass.SorrySent from my iPhon"

I wanted to do a tire rotation and they refused to do the service, I think the guy didn't feel like working or he just wanted to sell me other tires. I don't know, bad service, I don't recommend it.

We had a flat tire in Carmel with our 3 month old daughter, and I forgot the wheel lock key for my Jaguar at home in Bay Area; and it was sunday. We found Monterey Tire, they were able to work with the Jaguar dealer next door to get the wheel lock key so the tire could be taken off and fixed. I called them when we were on our way to the shop, when we got there, they already had everything ready for us, after 15 min, we were on our way home, they were our saver! They were nice, effective, highly recommended.

Sold me 2 bad tires because they didn t carry a new of what I needed. First tire went flat. Took it back, second tire was bad as well. Unbalanced tire which eventually could have ruined my car or caused an accident. Took my car to a different tire shop and got it taken care of no problem. Horrible service, never even offered to new ones ordered for me.

SO FAST, SO HELPFUL! Had an allen wrench in one of my tires. Took it to Goodyear in PG only to be told they could not patch and had to replace all my tires. Took my car here for a second opinion. Patched my tire for 21 bucks in 30 minutes on a very busy morning. Was able to squeeze me in before a he worked on two trucks and a motor home that needed 8 tires replaced. THIS PLACE ROCKS! THANK YOU!

I like these guys. Don't be fooled by their tone on the phone. Just about everyone I've talked to on the phone there sounds like they're tired, grumpy, or walking dead. It can be really off-putting, but in person they are all pretty nice.I've been here twice for tire patches both times and they have been awesome. Also, they don't charge any extra (or even really notice) for low profile tires like a lot of places do. They are cheap and work really fast. There's rarely a line too, so that makes turnover pretty quick.

I had a whole in one of my run flat tires. I went to several places in Monterey, with out any luck. They had a used used tire and replaced it immediately! I was on my way in no time flat! Exceeded my expectations! Definitely recommend this place. Friendly and great customer service!

I came in with two bald front tires that no one else had in town and the owner and the crew worked hard and got me out in 30 min. The price was nearly half from previous quotes around. I overheard a coworker or possible customer saying it s never this crazy and I was still taken care of. Nathan s around the corner only had one tire I needed and referred me over, so props to their business as well!

I had previously gone to Costco to replace tires on my Subaru Impreza, but there was some damage to the rims due to a curb. I was told the rims needed to be replaced. I took the car over to Bill at Monterey Tire and he checked the rims and said he could fix them no problem. He was then going to let me go back to Costco free of charge to have my tires installed. The man saved me $450 by fixing my rims!!! I returned my Costco tires and gave Monterey Tire my current and all future business.

Had two new tires installed, I told them to put the new ones on the rear and the old ones up front. When I got the bill they charged me $29 to rebalance the old tires. When I complained, he said those were my instructions.

Horrible! I went in to get a tire patched up and they tell me they can't patch it, and so I ask how much for a used tire size 185/60R15 and they say $40 which is RIDICULOUS then they wanna charge over $100 for that tire. I did research and the same new tire is $50. So I told them no thank you, and I was really polite, and they came back and told me, "If you come back it's going to be $80 for the used since you told us no. You should go somewhere else." Are you serious?? Who tells a customer that, they seriously lost alllll of my business and I will never ever recommend them. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, I WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THEY PATCHED MY TIRE UP NO PROBLEM!!! THIS PLACE WAS JUST TRYNA GET MY MONEY!!!

Came in with a flat repair, was greeted promptly and politely, all Covid protocols being observed. I was helped quickly and the pricing was surprisingly affordable.
