Bill has been so wonderful to work with. We live in San Diego and our communications thus far have been all online and virtual. Bill has been efficient, kind, and extremely professional in our relationship. He was prompt in responding to our online inquiry and in less than 24 hours from our initial point of contact, we are proud and incredibly excited new owners of a beautiful new vehicle from Land Rover Monterey. I wouldn t have left a 5-star review if it wasn t for the Service department; my experience with the Sales, however, leaves much to be desired. The service that I received from Mr. Matthew Menke and his team was simply outstanding. They went above and beyond to get my car ready as soon as it was humanly possible. Mr. Menke was in touch while the vehicle was being serviced; I was provided a pick-up service from the military base where I work to the dealership; he answered all my questions and concerns in a nice, friendly yet professional manner. Should I need my car to be serviced in the future, I will have no doubts it s in good and caring hands.On the contrary, my first in-person contact with the official representative of the LRJ Monterey Dealership was not as pleasant at all. When my car broke down on Saturday, December 16th, I had it towed to the LR Monterey via the LR North America Road Assistance app. Upon my arrival in a tow truck at around 4.30 pm that day, the only POC I was able to speak with was a salesperson who introduced himself as Bill. Well, in fact, I had to pull his name out of him while he was talking to me through gritted teeth. Anyone who has ever found themselves in a similar situation you re stationed some 1,300 miles away from home, in a new state, with no friends or family around would understand how confused and lost I was feeling that afternoon. Jaguar/Land Rover is not just a car make it s a philosophy, a spirit, an iconic brand with a 100-year history which makes every customer feel special, and which gives that sense of belonging to the family . My husband, who is British, and I have purchased more than 15 vehicles from this brand, and have been its loyal customers for more than 20 years not only stateside, but also in Europe. The way I was treated by Mr. Bill the Salesman was thousands of light years away from the fundamentals of the LR customer service. Not a single smile or a simple hello , not a rudimentary sit down please and take a breath in a nutshell, zero attitude towards an existing client of the service department and a potential client of the sales department. I might be spoiled by the standards of many different LR dealerships I ve visited throughout the years, but the appearance and the behavior of that gentleman resembled rather a night watchman at some warehouse or a mom-and-pop no-credit-score-required used car shack than a face of the Land Rover Jaguar. It goes without saying that I wasn t offered a ride home from the dealership (which is just 5 miles away from my residential address). The way Bill treated me made me feel like I was a smelly hobo from Del Monte beach. Fortunately, I was lucky to meet Ms. Julia Jenkins, the finance manager, who gave me a lift home and whose sweet personality mended the first impression. This spring my husband is moving to Monterey, and going to replace his 5-liter Range Rover Supercharged; we hope to avoid any further interactions with that salesperson.

So easy to do business with LR Monterey. The people are so nice/easy to deal with, they're very accommodating, and scheduling is a breeze. I never question the quality of the work and never feel like I'm being over/up-sold so there is trust. Night and day difference from LR San Jose!

My 12 year old 110k mile RR sport finally needed something major. Water pump and coolant pipes. The service guys were as always responsive to my concerns and fixed the issues quickly and in line with the estimate.2

I am a customer from park city Utah. Found a SVR online and found the dealership. Cameron was professional and made me feel comfortable. I did not even see the car, he made the experience easy. And reassured that the third party delivery that he found for me showed up. Not a scratch on the car, or any damage. It showed up in pristine condition. The process was easier than any dealership I have bought from before. Thank you Cameron.

I've had very good experiences at this dealership. I purchased my vehicle in San Jose, they were the closest Land Rover dealership at the time. The people here have treated me very well and the service costs more and they do really give more.There's a mechanic that works there named Tuan who has worked on my Rig since 2003. He knows the vehicle far better than I and I'm fortunate to have him and the rest of those guys there whenever I need work done.Sincerely, Richard Coppola

I just purchased a Certified LR from another dealer out of the area and in less than 10 days the door started smoking. The dealer did not have any loaners (I called first to confirm) and I don t live in the area so getting there and back was going to be pain. The service manager let me know that Land Rover would tow my car for free under the CPO program and he even gave me the phone number. I called the service center and they had AAA pick up my car within the hour. I called about 3 hours later to confirm the car had arrived and to see if they had any question, only to discover they had already fixed it. The service manager asked if they could run a few more tests the next day just to make sure there were no other issues. They then called the CPO service center for me and had them tow my car back to me for free. I had my car back in <24 hours, delivered to my door, tire pressure checked and freshly washed. This is my first Land Rover and I hesitated buying it for the history of maintenance issues and reputation for poor service. I have to say I am quite impressed with how they handled my situation across the board but also glad I followed my instincts on getting a CPO car with the warranty. Thank you LR Monterey!

We visited your showroom while on vacation and were greeted by Graham Pike. He was very knowledgeable and treated us very well even after we said that we were just there to let our teenage son gawk at the finer vehicles that you have on your lot. Graham showed us around and allowed us to sit in the Range Rover Sport which I fell in love with which may be the car I pursue after we get our son through college. I just wanted to thank him and let you know that we truly appreciate his respectfulness towards us even though we were not purchasing customers. Definitely makes us want to do business with your company if we ever find ourselves able to purchase a Range Rover Sport.

I have been buying German cars for 35 plus years and really enjoy performance with added value that they bring to my everyday driving needs.I have recently decided to replace my Mercedes ML320 and saw this great Mercedes CLK 350 on their used lot.I took this car for test drive and I knew that It had to come home with me... period !!!.My wife and I had a very good buying experience from start to finish and I highly recommend this dealership for great deals and service.We were also very impressed with new Jaguar line, while our new car got serviced we had one as a loaner and all I can say is that one awesome automobile....!We thank you for this great experience,Mehmet E.

We recently purchased two range rovers at this location when it was Sam Linder Range Rover. The new manager Dale is as unprofessional as they get.Told us to leave the dealership because we wanted info on a lease return. Looks like they are out to rip people off.It s too bad Sam Linder sold dealerships because this new ownership is clueless. Save yourself a headache and go over the hill to Stevens Creek Range Rover.

Negligent ServiceI took my Land Rover for an oil change to have it ready for a weekend tripA few miles driving down the freeway, the oil warning light on the dashboard turned on. I pulled over, opened the hood and check the oil level. The first thing I noticed, the oil level was an extremely low barely touching the dip stick used to check the engine oil. Immediately look for a gas station and added almost two quarters of oil to reach the recommended level. I checked for leaks and everything looked good. After that I was able to drive 800 miles without any incident.Obviously, the mechanic who did the oil change didn't pay attention on the amount of oil used and also didn't check the oil level before returning the car to the client. That mistake could ruined the engine and kept me standing on the freeway for long time. Trust is everything when you service your car and I won't recommend this dealership.

They will smile and be very receptive prior to a sale. And when that deal is signed for, they will ask you to please give them a positive review on Yelp so the sales team member will get his added bonus. But once you purchase the vehicle, "buyer beware", and i mean that because i got screwed by these guys. A month after owning my preowned vehicle which the ad described as "well maintained", I got a check engine light that has had me in to see the mechanic 6 times in 1.5 months with no resolution or fix and the mechanics I have seen seem to believe this was a pre existing issue. Additionally, the brakes which they replaced right before selling me the vehicle have been loud and noisy. I have reached out to the team members requesting any warranty on the parts for the brakes and rotors and been ignored. The 3 members of Sam Linder RangeRover that I interacted with prior to the sale were copied in on that email, not 1 response; however, we received quick responses during the sale process.So, before you go here. "Buyer Beware".

I have a bunch of these 'bad' reviews I'm posting because I'm pissed beyond words after trying to purchase a vehicle from these different Land Rover dealerships and getting the same lie from each. I have been since March of the year trying to purchase a Range Rover and they just keep making excuses. This one seems to be their favorite, 'You are not in our territory or state and Land Rover has a strict policy against their dealers selling outside of their territory or state'. This is a LIE! I have had legal council contact Land Rover North America and they (Land Rover) have said that this is a false statement.Monterey Land Rover pulled this one on me. Why they do not wan my cash deal, I don't know? But something stinks! Maybe I don't match the mold of a Land Rover customer in their eyes? Might be too old? A little overweight? Wearing the wrong watch? I don't know. The one thing I do know is I hate being lied to! Elitists.

As someone noted before, I also hate dishonesty so know your facts before even speaking with them. Too many "good guys" still around to work with. Find one and have a fair and honest buying relationship.

ridiculous - the service team scoped out work -did half of it - and sent my wife home with a car that broke down 5 days later - the car is back at the service center for another 9 days and no clear date for completion - good luck, looks like back over the hill for future service
