Where to begin? How about the fact a waiting appointment that was confirmed online was two and a half hours. The oil change was $85.00? The next service due sticker was the same as it was when I came in and not changed. After the wait I was told about the extra work needed, but no estimate as the time given wasn t enough time to get cost estimates. The service was not what I expected. The inspection report was not properly done as fluid worn where naked ok. The motor mount was broken yet couldn t tell me what one. My problem is that I worked at a DEALERSHIP as a service writer for over 15 years and I know what to expect. What about you? Place is not a good place to be waiting for a waiting appointment nor a place with posted prices and in my opinion a rip off on all levels. Avoid at all costsl. On top of it all I found that they didn t secure one of my hub caps and it is gone. Funny how I didn t have a problem with them until I had them do a oil change and they rotated my tires. Crappy service!!

I had a break down on my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser and had to be towed in just before closing. My front break caliper seized and caught fire! I was thinking it was going to be in the shop forever! I called around and nearby shops couldn t even see my vehicle for 1-2 weeks. Skips came through HUGE! Not only did they get me in, but my problem was assessed the next day and I had my Land Cruiser back the day after and on the trail that same weekend! Juan was great, and Janie (I hope I m spelling her name right) was awesome. I only work in the area, but the staff at Skips are my people. Thanks again you guys!!

I ve had wonderful service thrice with Skip s - with Juan in particular. In my past 2 visits he s helped me solve issues in the simplest and least expensive way (which I appreciate greatly!).A bonus is they also offered to drive me and my baby home when I needed to leave the car with them for most of the day - and I ve witnessed them offering the same to an older woman. Just wonderful customer service and lovely people

Appointment set for 1130 to have 4 tires installed. Figured I d be there an hour.No. 3 hours later, my tires have been installed.Additionally after installation, after tracing my destination, I check my tire pressure because this company could install tire sensors but doesn t have the ability to flash in my new ford sensors to my truck. With 4 tires all set 38, 35, 40, and 62.5psi?Respectfully I should not have to double check a professional company s work.Would not recommend to a friend or family, nor would I go back.

Been here 3 times for an oil change. They do the job but they don't inflate tires, rotate them or give you the mileage sticker but still check it off on your receipt. And the older gentleman working always tries to upsell me for another $100 on a wheel lug nut or something or another. He said they already removed the wheel and I wouldn't be able to drive out with it. Didn't realizd at the time that was kind of shady behavior. Instead of trying to swindle me, he could have just rotated and pumped my tires since I paid for that. They are not completely honest and I would only go there if you desperately need an oil change.

I have a 2010 Toyota 4runner with a bunch of miles (165K). I came in to Skip's get a new set of tires. My old ones were really worn and almost unsafe to drive. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by Jason, the store manager, I somehow knew my experience at Skip's was going to be a good one. I didn't have to wait long to get helped. Jason explained what kind of tires my car required and provided several good options to choose from. I had already done a little homework and the prices Jason quoted me were some of the lowest I came across. I found the perfect set having awesome tread and they started on the job.A little time into it, Jason came out and informed me that my tie rods were frozen? Huh? I had no idea what these were. He explained what they are and also told me that the two guys, Ivan and Johnny, were already working to unfreeze them, at no charge! The team at Skips had also diagnosed that my front left wheel bearing was almost "gone" and recommended replacement. I gave them the go ahead and in no time, they had already sourced the parts and were starting on the work. All in all, my time spent at Skip's was a great all around experience. Also, some of the best prices I've seen for a while. I'll definitely be coming back for future work to be done. Great customer service from Jason and an all around quality job performed on my car!

My 'go to' place for tires and brakes. Brought my car in after the dealership told me to replace the brakes, an expensive job. Skip's looked at my car and said 'no need to change the brakes just yet, you're not even at 50%'. That level of honesty builds customer loyalty. Plus they are super fast and nice people.

I called a month ago about a mount, balance and alignment on my vehicle and was assured that it could be done on a Saturday. I made sure to tell them I couldn t bring it until 4pm and the guy said it would be no problem as long as I brought it in before 4:30 since they close at 6pm. Keep in mind that they even took my information over the phone and knew exactly which Saturday I was coming in. Or so I thought. Fast forward to today, I brought the vehicle in at 3pm only to be told it now couldn t be done until Monday. Left me in a really bad situation with a vehicle way out of alignment after having a lift kit added in the morning with the assumption that the alignment would happen at 4:30. The guy at counter told me no one should have told me that and didn t seem to care at all. Found another shop to do the work and will never go back or recommend them again. Horrible.

Brought my fathers truck in for a tire repair under our lifetime warranty, about 10 minutes after driving home from this establishment when the repair was "done" the seam on the tire popped and when we arrived home the tire was completely flat. Not only that, the technician via the receipt as I. Saldana-Cortes, left about a four inch gash in the fender within days of my father receiving the truck from the body shop in a previous national disaster related incident which we know for a fact was not there prior to our visit. The manager Jennifer Pacheco Martine was unapologetic and quite dismissive of the situation. Very disappointing and frustrating experience and will be seeking further action as well as contacting corporate.

We re so glad we went to Skip s! We showed up early this morning with our 4Runner. We had new TRD rims installed. Zachary and Jeff were so helpful and friendly. Great stories and extremely personable. Highly recommend them to everyone! Fast service and reasonable prices will keep us coming back. Thanks to everyone there who clearly love their customers!!!

They did a fantastic job when I got two nails in my tire. No issues with the repair - even with the added complexity of Tesla foam insulated tires. Will definitely use again!

Usually good, last time...not so much. They can read my comments in the survey I sent. Spent 20-30 mins waiting, on 2-3 people helping (1) person on a chrome air spout cap for a BMW which probably cost $3 and they didn't have. I mean really, check eBay...Weirdly everyone in the shop was calling other shops and checking. I admire the service but had to sit back and wonder..is this the best use of time:) While I had a $1200 (at least) tire appt. Silly.

I brought my car in to get the tires re-balanced that had just been mounted 3 days prior as my car had an awful vibration at 40Mph and above. They said the balance was a little off and didn't mention any other problems. Driving home I immediately noticed there was no change in the vibration, still anything above 40Mph was awful. Once I got home I pulled the wheels and found that 2 of them had a clip designed to hold the hubcentric ring in place sandwiched between the rim and hub and the other 2 had the imprint of the clip but it was missing. This caused my wheels to not sit flat against the hub which caused the vibration. Because the clips were not present in 2 of the wheels I can only imagine they saw the previous mistake and managed to do the same thing again! I should not need to fix the mistakes of a tire shop, they also stated they torqued the lugs to factory spec. The factory spec is certainly not 170 foot pounds. I would not recommend you use this shop for anything.

I purchased some tires from this establishment and was informed by management that my alignment was off. That if I came back the next day they would align my truck I returned and was told same thing. Now I am here third day in a row and Jeff cherry assistant manager was very rude and completely combative about the fact that I was told to come back in the afternoon.I would not recommend this business or give them anymore of my business customers make a business people seem to forget that

I made an appointment to have my 2 front tires changed. I showed up at 11 am, 2 pm came around and nothing so I call. The person who answered the phone said there was no car there under my name???? Puts me on hold finds it and says oh it s next. I did not get my car until 4:30pm and I m sure it was only because I showed up asking for it. Guy tried to claim he had the wrong number to update me but we have 2 numbers on file. It does not take 5 1/2hours to change 2 tires. I called a friend who was 2 people ahead of me and they were getting their tires as well (no appointment) they got their car at 1 pm? I call again at 4:22 pm still not done. The other 2 people ahead of me were getting flats fixed!!!!! Why did it take me 5 1/2hours to get my car back? I will not be returning and sticking to American Tire Depot, I ll drive the half hour from now on.

I needed 4 new tires for a trailer. Zack, who answered the phone, was friendly and professional. He said I didn t need an appointment and that my tires were in stock. Les helped me back my trailer in and gave me some great pearls on driving my camper including modifying my hitch. Soren was also very helpful and friendly. The whole experience was easy and professional. I would definitely recommend Skips in Scotts Valley to anyone who needs tire/wheel needs.

The representative did an excellent job finding affordable tires. The technician did an excellent job with mounting and balancing and completing a front end alignment on a 32 year old European car. Great work!

We started coming to Skip's a few years back to get our 2002 VW Eurovan serviced. We've generally been satisfied with the work performed. Our most recent visit was for a major repair to replace steering and power steering elements. What worked well? The thoughtful analysis of the problem by Les, the mechanic. He took a ride with me initially, and after diagnosing the issue, thoroughly explained it to me while walking me under the vehicle.Communication from Skip's was strong as well. Both Jeff and Zachary called to communicate updates and keep me apprised of the situation, all the way through to us picking up the vehicle. The repair seems effective, the van driving much better now. Zachary emphasized that if anything seems off after driving it that Skip's would address that. A positive thing. My one issue with Skip's, one I think could be avoided? Grease stains in the vehicle. This happens regularly to our van, whether it's in for basic or more major servicing. This time there were many grease spots and smudges on the interior door panel, the sideboard carpet, the steering wheel and the floor mat. Not nice to step into, and it created a bit of work for me to degrease and clean our van.I understand that auto garages are necessarily greasy/oily environments, but I think that with a bit of care and clean-up that Skip's could do a much better job on this point.

Have been coming to Skip's Tire for oil changes and tires for a year now. They've changed management, but service has remained awesome. Jason was great, checking me in, explaining the services and the estimated time. They were able to finish the oil change and replacing my headlights in less time than they thought. They do free brake inspection and tire rotation as part of the service. They recommended new tires in 3-5k miles. I trust Skips to take care of my car! Thank you!

I have brought two different vehicles to them with different problems. All three times I ve shown up in the middle of an emergency problem with the car. They have seen me right away, provided great service, not oversold me on stuff, directed me to a dealership when something was very wrong with my engine (dealership took days and days to finally admit there was a major problem). One time is lucky, two times is a trend, three times shows me they are a professional and competent business. We are lucky to have them in Scotts Valley!

You guys are fabulous! I've been bringing my car here for years and I always trust the mechanics and helpful staff. I always feel informed, supported, and educated on what my car needs and why. Additionally, they have helped me come up with affordable solutions for random things (like a mirror that occasionally falls off!) that they did not technically have to help me with. Can't say enough good things, you all are great!

Wonderful customer service. Jeff is so generous showing his passion helping people like me. We were heading to LA for a family trip until we found our car flat tire. At that emergency moment, we found this tire service shop and Jeff was eager to help at the time the shop just open. We concerned that we may far behind our trip schedule. But Jeff and his team fixed the problem just in a minute. More over, we were told that we won t be charged anything. Jeff and his team definitely made us a day. We finally gave them some tips instead and that was totally voluntary. Thanks Jeff and your team!

I needed a new set of tires for my son's truck. I spoke with Jason on the phone and he expediently got them ordered for me. They were back ordered and Jason was amazing in keeping in constant communication with me until they were in stock and ready to get installed. We arrive early to get the tires installed and I got the opportunity to finally meet the great smile behind the voice. Jason was professional, polite and easy to work with. I will definitely return here for all my tire needs! Thank you for supporting this community and their tire needs.

Love the shop and have done business with them in the past. Unfortunately it only takes one salesman to spoil your experience. Attitude time wasting and overcharging seems to be the thing.Just drove down the road and had an awesome experience. Fast friendly and half the money. Don t wast your time or money.
