Highly recommend going to Peter at Phantastic Auto for your vehicle maintenance. My family and I have been going to Peter for as long as I can remember. Peter is a great mechanic and a fantastic guy.He's friendly, honest, very knowledgeable and so is his entire team. Fair, honest, and quality automotive work are found at this establishment. The Vietnamese owner is Peter - a friendly, easy to approach and talk to man. His price is reasonable - just talk to him and he will work with you. The turn around time is fast and the time window is spot on. This place is literally a hole in the wall, as it is obscurely hidden from the main road. If you don't see it from Mast Blvd., don't panic, it's there... right behind Circle K gas station.Funny story on my first visit to his business - he didn't believe my wife's Mazda3 w/a manual transmission has never had a brake job done after 108,000 miles on the odometer. I kept meticulous maintenance records of all automotive works on our vehicles, including self oil changes - I would have known about the new brake pads. Yes, we both had bought our vehicles new from the dealers yearssssssss ago - first owners. He laughed... and said no brakes last that long! Honestly, the original brakes on my Honda lasted past 100k miles as well.Back on topic now... He gave me a great price for the complete brakes job on my wife's 2008 Mazda3 and the replacement of a new camshaft position sensor on my 2004 Honda Civic. I brought over 2 large Domino's pizzas (meat lovers style) and two cold bottles of the 2-liter Coca-Cola, on the same 100 degree afternoon during lunchtime to thank him. I picked the Mazda3 up that same afternoon, after a 3.5 hour job after I stopped by with the food and drinks. He smiled and thank me for the kind act of appreciation. I asked if I can pay for the service then and he replied let's pay after he completes the work on my Honda the next day. Sure enough, the next day I brought my car in because of a dead camshaft position sensor had failed after 110,000 miles, which I've verified with my OBDII Diagnostic Code Reader and Google search algorithm from home, before bringing in my vehicle. So after 3.5 hours later on the second day, Peter called and said it was the camshaft position sensor. He gave me a great price on the said job on the phone before I came in to pay on the work on the two vehicles. I was so thankful that I found a great mechanic and an honest human being! It was the best interaction and experience with auto mechanic I have ever had in my life!This is my true story and testimony of my visit to this business. I was not compensated in any way for these statements.Finally, I would proudly recommend or send my friends and family members to this business! Fair, honest, and quality automotive work are found at this establishment.

Move to Santee last year . Looked for oil change near me, and found this place. They did a really good job and also very professional. The price is always flexible. Peter and his team always make it happen for you. I had a few problems that had to be done . Peter and his team always go above and beyond to get the part asap to be able to fix the car on time. They are super nice and kind. Peter try to get the recent price and not over charge customers. He always try to find the way to help out with customers. Other places I have been to, always ripped off! I am so lucky I found this place . Thank you Peter and your team . Awesome experience on our BMW! Very professional service! Just now writing review (and so overdue!) Our oil cap had cracked and oil had sprayed all over the engine. A few belts needed replacing and a bunch of clean up. Initially, we didn t know what was happening. Phantastic diagnosed quickly and got us back in our vehicle. Everything has been awesome since.My brother and dad had recommend Phantastic, I m glad they did. I trust them and recommend them highly. It was a great experience!We re having some maintenance issues on another car now, I m about to drop it off this week.Thankful for this business!

So this was a tough review for me had it just been quality of the work they did I would give them 5 stars but there's more than just that. When I first brought my car in it was for some wiring problems. When I initially brought it in I told them what was wrong and that I wasn't in a huge rush to get it back. Basically saying I didn't need it back to the next day but I wanted it as soon as possible. We agreed on an initial quote for 3 hours of labor. If they found and fixed the problem in under three hours I didn't have to pay for all 3 just how long it took. Following this we agreed if it was going to be longer than 3 hours they would call me to update me on the problem and we could decide to finish the repair or not depending on the second quote price. After having a long discussion we agreed and I walked out a happy guy knowing they understood the problem. 1 week goes I realize I said he has time to figure it out so I don't call yet even though my mechanic has rebuilt transmissions for me in that amount of time. Friday of the next week comes around and it's been 12 days so I was thinking about calling to ask if something is wrong. But that afternoon they called me with good news saying the car is done and running well.then he follows it up by saying it will cost a couple hundred dollars more than the original quote. The first guy I talked with didn't seem to care about them doing work I didn't agree too but the second person I talked to apologized multiple time and agreed he had made a big mistake in assuming it would be ok to do the work without permission because of his humility I decided to leave them with a decent review as the work they did was good. So final thoughts work was great and done properly but their communication was poor and I'm rather unhappy with how the first guy treaded the situation.

I've been going to Peter for years and I've always been very happy with his work. Fair prices and honest car repairman, very hard qualities to find in a car repairman nowadays. Peter's the best, I recommend him to all of my friend.

Peter is a fair and honest man. He always does a great job on our cars and his prices don't break your pocketbook. I have never been to a mechanic with such great customer service. I totally recommend Phantastic Auto Repair.

Hard to find a reliable and trustworthy mechanic. Service here was fast and high quality. They quoted me way less than other places that tried to pull the wool over my eyes. Need auto repair? Go to these guys!

Brought in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra due to steering column issues and getting worse day by day. Was told it will be done tomorrow, they also agreed to do an AC service and install new brake lights. Was quoted a very reasonable price for everything. So far these guys seem very professional and legit. Will update my review tomorrow after I get my car back.

Had a starter put in a 95 Geo Metro. Peter quoted me a price over the phone. Brought the car in and in less than an hour, I got a call back, it was done. Excellent service, the car is doing good.

I love these guys! always honest and reliable! I have a Hummer and a Subaru and they work on both of them. All the work that they have done for me and I have never had one issue with it. I highly recommend this shop. Mind you, it is not a super fancy shop just good people, good work and fair prices!

An honorable mechanic. Now there are two words that don't normally collide in the same sentence, but Peter is just that. Excellent work, repair time was extremely fast and best of all, very reasonable prices. I highly recommend Phantastic, because they live up to their name!

I used to live nearby and after moving I now make the 30 min. drive for repair work here because I know I can trust them. Always very friendly as well, I have been going here for about 15+ years is my guess, maybe 20!

Don't go here if you want a real diagnosis. My son had 2 repairs done there. Owner told him it was smoking because of head gasket. Got truck back still smoking. Spent$ 1600 for repair and ended up buying new motor after he said it was cam shaft sensor and spent another 300 bucks. Guy is very dishonest and ripped off military

Long story short: My car had a serious issue pop up short notice, they looked at it immediately, figured out the problem quick, told me that I could probably get the dealership to fix it for free and didn't charge me for troubleshooting. These guys are knowledgeable, and from the people coming and going, it was obvious they make most their money on repeat customers.
