I took my RAV4 in for noise in the engine. They had me leave it overnight and checked it out the next day. When my husband called for an update on the diagnostic, they said they fixed it and it was $569. I was taken aback, they said since I said I needed a vehicle so bad we just figured we d fix it well I also NEEDED to know the price before the work was done also to find out I was covered with Toyota which is why we just wanted a diagnosis. They didn t work with us and I will never bring my vehicles here again. The new owner is someone I will not support. I miss Walt.

I am absolutely stoked right now!! My 20-year-old Ford Focus's engine light had been on for the last two years (just after the last smog) and my husband and I could never figure out why. So, three weeks ago, I took my car to United Auto Center and today they called and said my car was ready to go....and smogged already!! Thank you, Rich and Walt!! Now I have at least two more years with my little zip zip!! Yay!

Experienced, very knowledgeable, reliable and honest. Owner helped me out for no charge. Tire was leaking air and got pretty low. They did a basic inspection and filled it with air, didn't charge anything and I have not had a problem with leaking again yet. Although I do think there is still some microscopic hole somewhere they must have reinforced the glue around the edge or something. It is better than before for free.

Walt the owner. He has been around for a while and is straight to the point but honest. Best of all he doesn't take advantage of anyone. Woman or man, all are treated with the same respect. He never tacks on more than what you need fixed. Good place in Santa Rosa

We have gone to Mr. Walt for car maintenance for the past 5 years since my partner started working in Santa Rosa. I suggested taking our car somewhere closer since we are working from home (in Marin) due to the pandemic, but with reliable service and honest prices, my partner insists on making the trip to Santa Rosa for car maintenance.It helps a lot to have a mechanic you can trust, so that when something is inevitably wrong with your car, you know they are there to help you out and not take advantage of your desperation.Pros: honest prices; great serviceCons: small shop with limited waiting space; not the best place to walk aroundServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I have been bringing my vehicles to Walt and his employees at United Auto for years. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of service they provide. Walt goes above and beyond to identify and fix the idiosyncrasies that my older jeep cherokee has as well as doing regular maintenance . I really appreciate having an auto mechanic who is honest, thorough and competent.

My business has been using United Auto for over twenty years. We have many different types of vehicles from heavy duty trucks to utility service vans and my personal 1964 Falcon convertible. The entire staff is service directed, the prices are decent and the work is always done correctly. Most of our staff also take their cars to United Auto. I would not go any place else!

Took my car in for an oil & coolant change. They did not refill my coolant up to the fill line in the reservoir. My transmission fluid is burnt as a result of the poor service. Plus Walt said I shouldn't service my transmission at the time. I hope my transmission doesn't need to be rebuilt now. Taking my car to S.R.T. & getting it looked at & having my transmission checked out. I'll never give United any more business. Poor service. Who does a coolant service & doesn't fill the reservoir back up?? And charges a $100 plus dollars for poor service!! Lucky I even gave 2 stars. Very frustrating. Especially after I just baught the car. A week before.

This is a well established business that is as honest and fair as it gets. Walt is the owner and his employees never leave. A very friendly business that will treat you right. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They are that good.

These guys are the best. I usually work on my own vehicles but I take the hard stuff to them. They recently worked on an old truck that I have. They couldn t locate new parts and so they tried to locate used parts. The used parts were not of the quality exceptable to them so they fabricated the parts! Their communication throughout the process was outstanding and the price was very reasonable. My other experiences with them have shown them to be honest and fair. I really appreciate that these guys are masters of their craft.

Horrible service. I never write reviews, but as soon I got back to my car, I felt a necessity to write one. From the phone until I was actually there, the whole time i felt like they were treating me like a four year old in a rude way. I will never in my life come here again.
