I have been taking 2 cars to Mat & Alissa for about a year now (Honda & Subaru). This week, they were busy but squeezed my Honda into their calendar. I had a check engine light - turns out it was just a maintenance alert. My wiper blades had stopped working at the same time, so they fixed the issue quickly. I also thought I needed new rear break pads, but they told me I have more time on them. Every time I come here, I have a great experience. I love feeling 100% confident in their advice and excellent service. I highly recommend them.

I have been taking my Ford Ranger to Mat for almost 10 years. I'm self employed and this is a work truck for me. He and Alyssa are warm and professional and take the time to explain what is going on and how it may be fixed. Mat speaks respectfully and shows you the parts he fixed and why. Whenever I have had any unexpected issue arise he as made every effort to fix it quickly and correctly so I can get back to work with the least amount of time lost. Mat and Alyssa have created a small local business through care and integrity and it shows in their work.

Let me tell you something about McCoy's...BEST MECHANIC IN THE COUNTY! I had an Audi A6 and my mechanic at the time didn't work on German autos, so I went searching for someone who did. I Did my homework and chose McCoy's. Not only did he fix the problem at a more than fair price, but he did so the same day I called and within 30 min. It was electrical and a long shot, but he did it. Happened again months later... brought it back in. But unfortunately he wasn't able to fix it. I asked how much I owed and he said, "Nothing...I wasn't able to fix the problem.". Dumbfounded...I met the most honest mechanic in sonoma county. I just bought another Audi A6 for two reasons... first, because it's an amazing car but above that so I could have it serviced at McCoy's. Thank you for your honesty and great work!! I'll be bringing my new car in for a good once over soon... count on that!

I don t know about other people but I had a bad experience here. My X5 had a engine light on. First time replacing the intake air valve. 2 months later. It turns on again. Mat said he had to diagnose to find out the problem. Then make an appointment for that. The front desk lady said they spend time on that I have to pay for that but don t know how long and how much it cost. She said maybe 1 or 2-3 hours and about $175/hr. Later talked to his son. I said I don t want to pay too much just for diagnosing. I m ok to pay for that and whatever the repair is. What if 2-3 months later it on again. I have to go over these things again. I mean it s so hard to get these people straight and honest. However I gave 2 stars for replacing my brakes. Maybe just good for that and oil change.

How many mechanics do you know who make good on a car problem that happens immediately after they fixed it? There is one - Matt Mc Coy! He remedied my car, replacing all parts on his dime and putting many, many hours in to bring my car back to pristine order. In fact, he did more work than that, showing us the parts and describing in detail what he did beyond the scope of work we had requested. He is a decent person with a capital D.This was not our first or second time using Mc Coy's. We were very happy with the results each time which is why we continue to return! Not only is Matt an EXCELLENT mechanic who takes pride in his work (and gets to know you) but he is the most HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY mechanic you will ever encounter. A genuine person of excellent character who cares deeply about his customers, the quality of his work and his reputation. Seriously, it gets no better than Matt!!

I've taken both my mini Cooper and now my newer kia forte. This mechanic is incompetent and overcharges for his services. When he worked on my mini cooper he couldnt fix a basic problen that i paid almost 5k. Thats how much my car was worth. He probably never worked on minis. My car is never better when I get it back. My car sounds horrific. Can't even read or figure out what a code is. My car always works horrible after. I don't know why I even take my car here.-marcos diaz

I was visiting the Russian River Valley, when my car started to go into limp car mode inexplicably. Matt was able to diagnose the issue within minutes and fit us in on a last minute appointment on a holiday weekend. Great mechanic, great advice, would highly recommend!

March 18, 2020 we had our BMW towed to McCoy's German Auto. We carefully researched all the repair shops in the area. Matt at McCoy's German Auto was exceptional. He's simply the best mechanic we've found. Such a great guy - trustworthy and genuinely committed to doing the best repair at the fairest price. One month later, our car is running so well. We wish we'd found Matt eight years ago. There is no one more capable and he is 110% invested in doing excellent work. Thank you Matt! We really appreciate you!

Friendly and knowledgeable mechanics! They diagnosed and fixed our Vanagon in a very timely manner. And were straight up and honest about everything from availability of parts and how long the repair would take. Good German car mechanics are hard to find, Mat and Rick know their stuff! Wow, what a positive experience. Mat loves what he does, is supremely knowledgeable, and might be the most honest German car expert I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with.My service tale:I blew a spark plug out of the engine in my '89 Porsche 944 S2 (my fault) while on a road trip. This was in rural northern CA, about 200 miles north of Mat's shop. The AAA flatbed left it at his shop on a Sunday night, and I crossed my fingers that based on the positive reviews, Mat would be able to squeeze me in the following day.I spoke to him Monday morning as soon as he opened, and he told me he'd have me back on the road by the afternoon. Huge sigh of relief, and from his first words I got the sense that he's honest and an expert. Not only did he make good on his promise, he also gave me a quick tour of his shop, pointing out a few really cool projects he's worked on over the years. The kicker is that he charged a very reasonable price for the repair, knowing he had my feet to the fire.He did a fantastic job with my old Porsche and I'd trust him with any car. I'm only sorry that I don't live closer so he could be my go-to mechanic for everything I don't do on my own.

Mat McCoy's experience and knowledge surpass any mechanic I have ever worked with. He care's about getting the job done right and provides alternative solutions that may be more affordable. Just because something needs to be done doesn't mean that it's the right time to do it. Mat will let you know what needs to be done today, and what can wait. I highly recommend McCoy's for your German or domestic autos. Mat's the best.

Had them replace the timing belt/water pump on my TDI Passat. 1/2 the cost of the VW dealer. Very happy with the work, done quickly.Definitely will being my car back for all future work.Service: Engine repair

I dropped in for an oil change. Matt took care of me right away even though he was busy and it was something small. They were quick and very reasonable. Matt and his staff are honest and very knowledgeable.

My check engine light came on...these guys diagnosed the problem. Told me it was minor and had me back on the road in 15 mins. No charge. I told a few friends and all of them told me "yeah, Matt is the best." I cant imagine having my car serviced anywhere else from hereon.

Matt helped me solve a break problem that the dealership couldn't find. He's fair and won't give up on your car no matter what. Great experience. I highly recommend McCoy's.

I recently a VW Beetle and the previous owner lost the key for the locked lug nut. McCoy s was very helpful in trying to help me find a solution and I really appreciated it. I will definitely be back when I need service!

If your looking for honest and knowledgeable mechanics this is the place. Matt and his crew gave me the best experience I've ever had at a shop. Now a days it's a big deal to find a shop you can trust and I found it here. I won't be going anywhere else.

I gave a great review because they seem nice when I stop by and ask a question one time four years ago but now they say they don't have a service order for me no s*** I didn't get no service done I asked a question but I'm going to go one star because they're rude
