I recently visited Pep Boys located at 2411 Pico Blvd for my Uber driver inspection, and I was thoroughly impressed with the service provided. From the moment I arrived, the staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring a smooth process for my inspection.The efficiency of the service stood out to me; despite a busy schedule, they managed to complete the inspection promptly without compromising on quality. The staff demonstrated professionalism and expertise throughout the inspection, addressing any concerns I had with patience and clarity.Overall, my experience at Pep Boys for my Uber driver inspection was excellent. I came into get an inspection of my car to start working with Uber. Trish assisted me with the inspection and she was an amazing person. She has amazing customer service and was very informative throughout the process. I recommend everyone to take your car to them. Thank you Trish!

The service here is terrible.I came here a few months ago to get new tires. I made an appointment for 10am and arrived then, but it took them until closing at 6pm to replace my tires. The manager was very uncommunicative and did not give accurate time estimates. I had to keep calling again and again to get an update on when my car would be ready. When I went to pick up my car, they told me they couldn t replace a lug nut that was stripped. They gave me the part and told me I had to go somewhere else to get it replaced. So I had to go to another auto shop later in the week and pay to get the lug nut put on. Absolutely ridiculous.I went back to get an oil change because they had a 25% off deal. I figured they couldn t mess up a simple oil change and it would be cheaper than somewhere else. The guy at the desk was very rude to me when I got there. They did finish the oil change within about an hour, but when I got home I noticed my car had a burning smell. When I opened the hood, I found that they had spilled oil in my engine and hadn t cleaned it up, so it was smoking. I had to spend about an hour cleaning it up myself because I knew if I went back to complain the manager would be rude to me again and it would take forever for them to fix.I will not be going here again, and I would not recommend going here even if they have a deal for a cheap service.

Horrible customer service and communication. Called in on 11/21 to get an oil change and the rep stated sure thing, come on it now I get there, they say it ll be a 3 hour wait and it would be best if I schedule an appointment. I scheduled said appointment for today, 11/22, at 8:30am. Rep stated I should arrive 15 minutes early to ensure speedy service. I get there at 8:10am and the person there says it ll be A 3-4 HOUR WAIT as they re already backed up. I asked him how that was possible as I scheduled an appointment and I do not have 4 hours to wait. He stated the appointment only guarantees services that day, not the time slot (apparently not anywhere near the time slot). They seemingly booked 6 customers for the 8am and 8:30am slots. Absolutely unacceptable anytime let alone days before a holiday. Save your time and money. Go to Valvoline on Sepulveda just up the street. I arrived at 8:25am without an appointment and was in and out before 8:45am. Immediate attention, incredible customer service and discounts offered!! After two failed attempts with Schlep Boys, I will not be returning.

Big shoutout to Daniel. Needed a quote because my car was making a weird noise. They were able to pinpoint what I needed, offer their opinion, and explain what was going on. Didn t feel that pressure auto shops usually give by adding other random problems. The pricing seemed reasonable, and when I asked Daniel broke it all down for me. Will continue to give this location my business.

Huge difference in service between the morning and closing shift. Front desk in the morning was rude to everyone that walked in, they gaslit me after I tried to explain my issue meaning I had to come in multiple times to receive help, and then when they finally took my car to be serviced they just left my car in the shop during a shift change without communicating what had to be done to the next shift workers. I had to call the store myself to ask for a status before the later shift even noticed that my car was in their shop halfway done with getting new tires installed.Second shift was great at communicating and they rushed to try to help me out in time before closing, despite the lack of communication they were trying to make up for from the morning shift folks.I was originally told my car would be done by 3pm but because of the poor communication, the second shift folks didn't finish until just after closing (they stayed late to try to help me out which was so nice but unfortunately I couldn't pick up my car the same night and had to come the next morning). It shouldn't be on them to make up for their co-worker's mistakes from the previous shift.Second shift personnel were understanding and seemed to really feel bad about the inconvenience of me having to wait to the next day to pick up my car for such a simple service.

Happy New Year to all at Pep Boys!My exper With Daniel was fantastic. Kevin went over and beyond to help me patch up my tire in a very timely manner. I so appreciated both of the gentleman at the Pep Boys here on Pico in Santa Monica. They both deserve raises.I brought delicious chocolate chip cookies to the guys and I hope they enjoy them todayHappy new year to all at Pep Boys. I got 2 of my tires replaced a couple weeks ago and had a 15% off all services/products coupon. This is a difference of ~$100. I was assisted by Trish and she said that she was unable to scan the coupon at the time, citing that it was a problem with the computer system. She told us to call back the next day to sort it out with the Manager Jorge. We have called multiple times since then, have been promised a call back to rectify the situation, and have never heard back. I have offered to drive back to the location to meet Jorge in person but was told it wouldnt help. Im appalled at the way this branch handles it s customers. I have had far better experiences with Firestone, as well as other local tire shops in the West LA area.

This place straight up tried to scam my 70 year old mother. One of her tires was a little low on air. They told her she needed all 4 new replaced. Charged her $1600 immediately before doing any work. legitimate mechanics give you an estimate, do the work and charge you when it s ready. My sister came to her rescue before they did any work and refused to refund the money. With zero work done! Had to dispute the charge with the bank.Literally went around the corner a legitimate tire shop and got charged $70 for a patch. $70 vs $1600. Stay away from this place. Check their reviews on Yelp. Lots of complaints

I set a 3 o clock appointment for a simple oil change. It s been over two hours since the car has been in their service (and counting). When asked about the progress of this insanely long oil change I was met with the most unpleasant customer service. Overall don t go here, setting appointments doesn t matter. Either way you ll have to wait. Might as well wait in a place that makes you feel welcome.

I would give them less but one star is the lowest. The customer service here is horrible. The employees here are cold and ready to argue. This is not the Pep Boys I grew up with. But that's the better part of the experience. This place will claim you need repairs you don't. I went in and had a coil replaced. I was quoted $300 or less on the phone. My OBD reported a misfire on cylinder 4. Instead of $300 the price went up above $600. They claimed they needed to check and possibly change all my spark plugs and to do that the intake needed to be removed. Which added substantially to the labor costs. I made it clear I was only there for Cylinder 4. The mechanic had already diagnosed the problem. Cylinder 4 is the only cylinder in my car that isn't covered and is easily accessible. I already knew the coil was bad and he verified it. But, ss I was getting ready to leave so he could replace the coil, the office called me in and said that all 4 plugs and coils needed to be checked and replaced, if needed. I told them I just needed cylinder 4 coil replaced. But they said they could not just work on one, they had to check on them all? Even though no diagnostic code said there was anything else wrong with any other cylinder. So my manifold had to come off they said. I have since called other Pep Boys and they also say this is untrue about having to do the extra work. I also asked them to save my parts and boxes from any new parts. When I got there no mechanic was on duty to explain what was done, and no parts. I am highly suspicious that the cover was even taken off in the first place now. The car was already fixed. They basically charged me an extra $300 just to change my plugs, or said they did. There is no way for me to check unless I take it back apart. So in the end it cost over $600 to have spark plugs and one coil replaced. They also charged me $90 more for the coil than other quoted on the phone. Do yourself a favor. Listen to these reviews. I also asked about an oil change and was rudely told they didn't have time? So I went to Valvoline. That was a great experience. They have teams check your cars fluids as they change your oil, while you sit in your car. It felt like a NASCAR pit stop. I won't go any place but there now for the basics. I have a feeling this Pepboys is on its way out. Every other mechanic in the area was busy. This place wasn't. Now I know why.

I needed to do an Uber Inspection so you know what I did? I'll tell you what I did right now. I went to Pep Boys to get that done. Went in there, Patricia took care of business. As a dually appointed Security Officer for the State of Hawaii and the city of San Francisco I have great respect for the hard working men and women who serve our community and the beautiful human race. Patricia held it down, dealing with everything with a strong grace.Would I recommend coming to this Pep Boys after seeing that?Yes or yes?Do I recommend Uber drivers go here to get their Uber Inspection done?Yes or yes?Does the Uber App claim the service is free at this location when it is in fact $20.24?Yes or yes?Do I feel Patricia's service is worth that and then some?Yes or yes?Would i rather pay $20.24 to get Patricia to do the service than have "Yoshi" come to my house for $40.00 to do the Uber Inspection?Yes or yes?Is Patricia available on Monday and Saturday from Noon - 3:00PM to do this service?Yes or yes?Was I in and out of there within approximately 8 minutes?Yes or yes?

DO YOUR RESEARCH ON PEP BOYS SO YOU WONT END UP LIKE ME!This was my first and last time coming to a pep boys, and let me tell y'all why. I usually don't complain about a business, because I'm usually satisfied with my purchase. But on January 13th 2024 pep boys has put my life and my kids life in serious harm by performing a service on my car THAT I GAVE NO PERMISSION TO DO , and leaving my car a huge safety risk.I brought my car in for a routine brake fluid change THATS ALL....and my car was there for 5 hours with them doing God knows what. I finally received a phone call from some woman named "Trish" explaining to me that I might need another service done to my car....and if I wanted to proceed with this extra service? I declined....and said I only wanted my brake fluid. I then asked her...."is my car almost ready?" She then says..."a mechanic has not gotten to your vehicle yet, it will still be a little bit" I thought that was crazy.... because how did you know my car needed another service, if a mechanic has not touched my car???So finally my car is finished, I picked up my car, and Trish tells me "we switched your tires for safety reasons, because one wasn't the same size, so they did it "on the house" to "help me out". Even though I declined ANY OTHER SERVICE to be done on my car.......they took it upon themselves to touch my tires.....which I find frustrating and disrespectful. BECAUSE I DIDN'T ASK FOR THAT!!!! I came in for one simple thing......now when I drive my care it make a screeching noise and my brakes are locking up.... which it never did before .Now, when I called to speak to a manager, at first he denied doing anything other than my brake fluid....then he switched his story and says that all they did was rotate my tires (I NEVER gave them permission to do so... routine or not)....and now he wants me to bring my car back. For what?! To cause more damage?? Or to continue to deny accountability?!As I did more research on pep boys, my car is not the first car that has been damaged by this company, in fact, they have a long history of people going in for one simple thing.....and their car coming out completely messed up! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AND DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

Trish at the desk handled multi tasking on a busy Saturday and Kevin installed my tires. He took the time to explain the issues with my old tires. The low air sensor didn't respond. I was unaware the tires were so low that one of them cracked and had to be replaced.

Bad Experience. I came to PepBoys to change the tires and re-install a lug nut on the front-left wheel of my mini 2011. I was attended by Patricia who was dry and arrogant through the sale process. When I came back after two hours they return my car with new tires, except with a missing lug nut on the front wheel. Apparently they couldn't re-install but still went ahead with the full tire re-installation without checking with me, a single call would have been enough. When I asked to Patricia if it is safe for me to ride the car only with three out of four lug nuts, she literally says: "I can not answer that question" which definitely raises some concerns on how PepBoys deals with customer safety. It really felt they are only profit driven. Ironically, since they weren't able to install the lug nut, they discounted 25$ of the final invoice, what a bargain!

I received great service. I came in for an oil change and it ended up that I needed rear brake pads. I waited for the service to be completed, about 2.5 hours. I am glad that they have WiFi - I was able to comfortabley do my work while waiting for the service to be completed.

The worst - I've been there a few times - As a single older woman I find their treatment of me to have gotten increasingly condescending and rude and actually what I would call abhorrible. That was for todays encounter with the person at the desk and due to today's encounter I will never go back.The last time I was there the person at the desktold me I possibly had a problem with my 'altimeter". Not sure what that is related to a car - maybe an airplane? Took it to Honda and nothing was wrong. Not sure if that occasion the person thought I was an idiot and wouldn't know what an "altimeter is". Maybe trying to take advantage of an older woman.

Im customer for more than 8 years and today they declined the coupon and treated me very bad . When i dropped my car for oil change they didn t say anything that they dont accept coupon any more. I will not back to this location or any other pep boys any more .Very very poor and bad customer front desk support She got mad on me that i didn t know about coupon.

Very rude, use to go there all the time but it slowly got bad and now the employees have no idea what good customer service is. They also hang up the phone on you intentionally. Very disrespectful and disgusting to witness
