I love these guys. I have been coming here for years and I will not go anywhere else. They re honest, thoughtful, great with communication, and their prices are so reasonable. They ve come up with solutions to save my old Honda 2007 when other mechanics thought it was time to buy another car and/or pay thousands to repair it. With an old car, there are inevitably problems that come up- the difference is that J Motors helps me figure out what is truly in need of fixing and how to do so without breaking the bank. They re also very methodical about repairs - they ll do one thing at a time rather than full overhauls. They ve probably saved me thousands of dollars over the years. I ve never had better mechanics, hands down. Support this small business!

I am disappointed. Because these guys have the best ratings, I am sure they are awesome. I called last week about my car. Needs a diagnostic look and estimate first. Back and forth. I get an appointment for next Monday, 3 days ago. Price confirmed following day. I thought I was set. I get a call today asking for more information, returned call. They said that they are all booked up. Well yeah, ok. I was one of those bookings. I had been written to them and said in vm what my car had shown, what I have done and what possibly I thought it could be. So there was no surprise to them that I needed diagnostic visit. I also explained to them that I would have to take it back that day. I would get the repair money together and then get it back to them, this was all known. Just an diagnosis first, no repair. But promising I will return for the repair. Once finances come through. It was said like that many times...But I guess my appointment is no longer valid and they're too busy now. They would be able to get me in a couple weeks. Instead of offering me an appointment, they suggested I go elsewhere. Sad. But I respect their honesty. And I don't know how many people they have working and maybe it's not just an hour for evaluating the car. That's the unknown, that's potentially the issue. The diagnosis can take time and me not being able to authorize repair immediately doesn't guarantee that they would get the business, even though I said it would.So I understand. It's just a little upsetting because I thought when we discussed this back-and-forth of appt details prior that it was set. These guys are probably the best ones for my Japanese car. :( So make sure if you have need for repair, it might be a couple weeks out. But these guys are probably well worth the wait wait.

DEFINITELY THE BEST!I picked J Motors because it was close to my place and besides many shops around I followed the good reviews from Google and they couldn t be more accurate!I was surprised by their efficiency, help and kindness. I arrived there completely lost and they basically explained me in details what was wrong with my car. Their price is not only very fair, but they present you with a clear quote! HONESTY, QUALITY and TRUST.This will be my shop for life, definitely, and I will refer them to everyone!

Great independent service shop. I have had J motors take care of three different cars, two Hondas and a Lexus. They are fast, honest, and very careful to clearly explain the repair. I found them because I was tired of the run around at the dealer service department. It is great to work with the owner.

After researching and reading reviews, I was referred to J Motors by a relative. They were booked solid but a cancelation allowed me to be squeezed in last minute for an oil change and basic checkup for my old Tacoma.Hiroshi and Kimi were both nice and easy to talk to. Kimi is the mechanic and found my left lower blinker burnt and changed it too with no additional labor. He was very efficient and finished much quicker than I had expected.I had gone to the dealer for the last oil change and they found items eventually needing service with price quotes. But their office kept on calling me to come in for the service even though not needed yet. I didn't mention these items when first contacting J Motors. But Kimi did find them. Hiroshi presented a schematic and showed me what was needed with more reasonable quotes.l will be going back to J Motors for the upcoming services.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Wow! My car had several issues from engine light on to starting noises, and J Motors was able to answer all my questions and then some for fair price. I had gone to three other mechanics before J Motors and no one could figure or fix my car's issues. My mechanic even followed up to see how my car was running the car after. Needless to say, I will be a loyal J Motors customers from here on out!

This mechanic shop is the best experience I have had so far in Santa Monica and venice area. I am an Uber driver and I take my car to shops alot, this is an exceptional service center. They are very professional, extremely honest and respectful. You will get every details up front, no hidden me mechanic shop tricks, very reasonable pricing, clean, on time and outstanding service. trust me, it is really hard to find service like this in los angeles,.I liked it very much.Thank you J Motors

Best mechanic I've ever been to. Totally honest, friendly, fast, explains everything upfront and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. I moved across town but this is still the only mechanic I'll go to.
