OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!My son and his girlfriend had been looking at new cars and received some pretty horrific treatment at local dealers when he called me for advice. Once he shared that they were looking for a new Honda I immediatly knew the solution to their problems and called Anthony W whom I have worked with for car deals many times over the years and recently heard he was back at a Honda store. Anthony quickly replied to my message and set them up with a salesperson named Carlos. When the arrived at the dealership Carlos greeted them promptly with polite professionalism and throughout the transaction always addressed Crystal with respect and never rushed her. Crystal shared that he went over and above answering questions and never seemd irritated as she had seen a few other salespeople act. She picked out the Civic of her dreams and the 'deal' process was completed in under two hours! They are both thrilled with the car and especially the Helpful Honda Folks at Honda of Santa Monica! Huge Thanks to Anthony and Carlos for making their first car buying experience wonderful and earning customers for life! #WayToGo :)

The staff are nice and efficient when you sign the lease for your car but it has taken months for them to figure out the account on the payment platform, and their customer service sends you in circles and never calls back. 3 years ago, the follow up on signing the lease was also horrible; they lost the paperwork and were rude when further inquiries were made about the lease.

I just recently Purchase a Used 2013 Honda Civic. Everything was fine at first but started to notice Some issues with the vehicle. It was starting to turn out to be a rough start With Honda Santa Monica. I was a bit concerned at first Until (Sarah Posell) Immediately took control of the situation and rest me assured that everything was going to be fine! While she is definitely a woman of her word! She took care of any Issues that The car Previously had! She was determined for me to walk away Happy and satisfied! As I also did not have to worry about How was I going to get to work For meanwhile As she Put me in a rental at No expense And fix my vehicle within a couple of days! I would just like to start off with a big thank you to Sarah Posell And your crew Moe and Eddie! Sarah, you are a blessing and a beautiful kind-hearted person With real customer service satisfaction. We were in contact with multiple dealers and salespeople but she went above and beyond and helped us get the exact car we wanted and made the process smooth and painless. Working with Alan to get my new Hr-V was as painless as car buying could be. They were super reasonable and efficient, I was in & out in less than 2 hours. I expected stereotypical car salesmen and was dreading car shopping, but it was a pleasure doing business with them.

Horrible customer service. Called multiple times enquiring about a car and kept getting told we d be called back but they never did. Finally talked to Emily the used car sales manager who told us the car was ready. We made an appointment to come look and hopefully buy it and drove 2 hours only to be told that it wasn t ready to even be looked at, much less take. They tried to make an excuse that they called to let us know but that was 20 minutes before we got there. Such a waste of time. If you can t even trust a place to know whether a car is available, I don t know how you can trust them with anything else.

Took my 2019 Honda HRV here after I had to have my car jumped because the electric power steering & brake system lights were on. (The rest of the lights are on but turned off). They told me that because my car was jumped, that the brake fluid & all my other fluids went bad and I d have to bring it in and leave it for a whole day. Break fluid can t go bad after being jumped. My mechanic has never heard something so dumb. The lights just needed more time to go off. Don t bring your car here they just wanna make a buck.

Every experience I have had with the service department here has been terrible. The sales department is not great either but Carlos was always very helpful and honest. I arrived at 12:30pm for my 1:15pm appointment. I sat there for five hours while they literally did nothing to my car and then gave me the run around after. They asked me to come back the next day, I soooo don't want to go back there...

They changed all my tires, but it was unclean. Don t know if they were actually new. They did servicing and made the car dirty. They did not do a car wash. They did not specify what to change at the very first inspection. On the day of release, mentioned that my car requires additional parts replacement. Took more time than anticipated.

Let s talk about a horrible car buying experience. This is coming from some who has worked in the auto business as a finance and sales manger. I came into Santa Monica on Oct. 5th to look at a car I saw online. I was unable to finance to car because of the age of it, not a big deal. They had a 2012 Honda Fit that met my needs and agreed to move forward on purchasing. Came in the next day to sign the paperwork and get a time frame of when the car would be ready, since it was recently bought by the dealership and had not be recondition yet. I was told by my sales person that it would be ready in a week. After waiting a week and no word from my sale person or the dealership I call for a status on the 13th, was told I wasn t ready and it would be an additional week. They offered to pay for my rental car, which I agreed. After waiting an additional week I call, because again no one is reaching out. Was total the vehicle will be ready the following day, Saturday 21st. I turned in my rental car. Went into the dealership around Noon on the 21st and was told the vehicle was getting detailed and would be ready in a few hours. I m getting a little impatient but ok I ll wait. I go get food and come back after a few hours and the vehicle still isn t ready. I waited 5 hours from them to bring up the wrong car. I was told that there was some bad communication and that my vehicle wasn t ready. I was given a car and the Used car manager told me he would reach out on that Monday with and update. Monday comes and goes with no phone call. I call the next day and talk with a Sales manager and he was the only person that actually communicated with me. After a few hours the sales manager called me back saying the vehicle will be ready tomorrow after 2. I come in the next day, Oct 25th, The vehicle is brought up and I m at a lost. Vehicle isn t detailed, passenger side mirror was replaced but not painted, hub cap is missing. This vehicle was not ready. They keep trying to have me take as it was and I said no, I want to take it finished. Not having to buy a plane ticket to head home to see family, they offer to pay for it which is fine. I m told the vehicle should be ready when I get back on that Monday, which would be Oct 30th. Enjoy my trip and as I m at the airport once again no update from the dealership so I call for a status. Was told the vehicle was ready. I arrive and looks as complete as it can be. Hub cap is still missing but was told it will arrive later that week. I take the car and find empty food containers in the glove box, interior light is burnt out and one of the parking lights is burnt out.Now this is where I m at a lost. During this time I was told by the used car manager and sales person that my Rental car, Ubers, and flights would be reimbursed to me. I save all receipts and emailed them it to them. Also told them that I didn t want the gap insurance since I never got the contract for it, nor any of the papers I signed, and was also told by the Finance manager he couldn t add it on. I also requested them to pay my first months payment since I didn t have the car the whole first month. After totaling all that together I was expecting a check for $1430.73. I ask when I could expect that and never got a clear answer. I called that Friday Nov. 3rd and was told it was ready. Called the following week on Nov. 7th and was told that the mailed in to my address in Sacramento when I told them I wanted to pick it up. I ask what was the amount and sales manager told me it was for $800. I said they need to cancel that check I need the General Manager to call me and explain what is going on. Since that time I have not received a call from this dealership and I have call, left messages with no answer. I have called their corporate office with no call back. I guess the only next steps is to contact legal services. Be aware of the LA car guy auto group.

Went in to look at a car I was interested in, and was really shocked at how unprofessional the staff behaved. It was about 15 minutes from when we looked at the car. When my partner said he wasn t ready to buy the car that night, the salesman scoffed, rolled his eyes, and angrily left the building. My partner and I were taken aback by this reaction. The salesman returned and snatched his chips off the table without a word. There was another worker nearby and I asked if the first guy was planning on coming back so we could talk about more details, and the other worker said he didn t know. Really bad experience here as a customer and will not be returning.*** 2 month update: We ended up purchasing the vehicle from Airport Marina Honda. They were much more professional and were amazing to work with. Would recommend going there instead.

UPDATE AT BOTTOM: It has been absolutely miserable dealing with SM Honda. I traded in a car and was supposed to receive a check. Well after months, it didn t come, so I called and was told they would call me right back. I never got the call so I called a couple days later and was told the business team just dropped the ball and the check was going out asap. A couple weeks passed so I called again. Again, I was told I d get a call back and never did and now every time I call, absolutely no one is available to assist me and I still haven t received the money I m owed. I would not do business here.After calling and calling again, still no check or even a call back. Had to leave work to come sit at the dealership to finally get it.

I took my 2022 Honda CRV EX Hybrid to service and Eddie, service advsor, and Sarah, service manager,helped me with my issue with my breaks that I was experiencing.My car so far is good and I really recomend this service department and of course Eddie and Sarah.

I came in to Honda Santa Monica looking for a few different cars and wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for. Emily greeted me with a warm smile and a lot of patience to help me narrow down my decision. We tried a few different cars and Emily was very knowledgeable and professional, and helped me choose the right car for my needs without any pressure or manipulative sales tactics. Emily worked together with Ramon (the manager) and they were very transparent and straightforward, and they helped me get the perfect deal. I could not be happier with the service and the experience, and the car is phenomenal. This dealership is very trustworthy. Definitely ask for Emily when you come in!

Called in due my A/C not blowing cold air, There's been a AC extended warranty for my current model and was acknowledged by them that my car does fall under the extension, But they want to charge a 375$ Diagnostic fee.I called Honda Service Corporate and they acknowledged that the fee was more then double what a normal Honda Dealer would charge.HEADS UP ALWAYS COMPARE PRICES WHEN AVAVILABLE*Over CHARGES*

We were interested in buying a used car from this dealership. The car had very low mileage and was for a good price. We understood that the car wasn t going to be available for long, so we booked an appointment to see the car for the next day. This dealership called us the morning of the appointment to confirm the appointment. We arrive on time for our appointment in the afternoon and they said the car was sold this morning. I know we never put any form of down payment, BUT they should ve AT LEAST called us informing us that the car was sold. Incredibly disappointing, rude, and inconsiderate. The least this dealership could ve done was notify us that the car was sold so we wouldn t have to drive all the way out here to look at a car that was already sold. I do not recommend this business with them. The staff seems careless about their possible customers. They didn t seem too sorry that they had us drive out here for nothing, and we wish there was better communication.

One week ago I have bought a new Honda Accord here. They gave me a good offer! And the employees are so nice, they helped me on my insurance. Good experience to buy my new car here. Also appreciate to the manager Mr.David he helped me a lot! Appreciate to Honda Santa Monica! I highly recommend to buy your car here!

UPDATE: 1 star for the business but 5 stars for Arnol and John from the Service Department. They did a great job at making sure I was given what I was promised at the time of the vehicle purchase.My sales person promised me so many things but once the purchase was complete, they did not follow through.Worst customer service in the world. Constant lies, they never return your phone calls. Nima from finance added some items to my contract we never discussed. It s been over 5 months and he has yet to remove them. They will NEVER return your phone calls unless you contact the general manager and threaten a lawsuit.

Listen up people I've got an important warning to share with all of you. I recently tried to buy a car from this dealership and guess what? The salesman had other customers personal info just laying around on his computerIt's seriously concerning how careless they are with sensitive data. If this company gets hacked, everyone who's dealt with them could be in trouble. I mean we're talking social security numbers and more!Please be cautious and pay attention. The risks to your privacy and security are huge. Before doing business with anyone make sure they take data security seriously and will protect your info.spread the word to your friends and family so they're aware too. we need to be informed and proactive to stay safe from those who want to misuse our informationRemember it's not just up to businesses we all have a responsibility to protect our data. Not always fun to buy a car when you can t find that perfect deal and that car perfect car. Santa Monica Honda provided both. They gave us a great deal on a 2018 BMW X1. A beautiful, well maintained vehicle and detailed for us with a full tank! If you appreciate exceptional, no pressure customer service, go see Victor and Nima at Santa Monica Honda! You will be glad you did.

I wanted to like SM Honda. It has a beautiful showroom and is conveniently located. But I was disappointed in the service from the sales rep. He was pushy and not a good listener. I went to another Honda dealership with a more courteous rep and was offered a better deal.

I purchased my pre-owned Corolla in June. Had a good experience with buying the vehicle everyone was very nice. However I was not properly debriefed about the KARR security already installed which ended up costing me $300 for a tow and mechanic fees. I didn t want it in the initial purchase and was told it can t be uninstalled but I got a lower rate. A month later my car would not start, the battery was good just no motor crank. I had to get a tow and take it to an auto shop. The issue was alarm system that stopped my car from turning on. Before going through with removing the system I did call the dealership to ask if they could help with fixing it to possibly reset it on their end. I was told I would have to take it there and if it was the alarm it would have to removed. Which is the same answer I was given from the auto shop I was at. I decided to go through with auto spot I was at if the results were the same.I also live and hour and half away so getting my car towed would have been over $300. I took off work to go to Santa Monica because over the phone explaining my situation was not enough. I wanted a refund because the alarm had no value in my hand uninstalled, mind you I was told it couldn t be. I showed them the alarm and wanted my money back, they said they couldn t do it. I was told I would have to schedule with the KARR security to reinstall at no cost. All they offered was to fill up my tank of gas. This whole situation could ve been avoided if I was told how the alarm system worked and it could immobilize my car. The only thing they told me that it could track my car with gps if stollen. If given all the information I possibly could save myself money, other than that I do not have any other issues so far.

The absolute worst experience while trying to buy a new car. I was lied to on the phone about the current inventory. They refused to tell me the invoice price on the new vehicles, they are very shady and definitely not a dealership worth wasting your time at.
