This place is terrible! Sales, service, even the owner. I've yet to have a good experience at this place. I'd give no stars if I could. I had a terrible time buying the car, an even more difficult time dealing with them when the battery stopped charging. This dealership was NO HELP at all (not even the owner). They said they couldn't make me an appointment to update the software (on a new car) for like 3 months. I called Steven's Creek and they did it the following the day. The service reminder light just came on and I called to make an appointment for the 10k service and I was reminded instantly how rude everyone was within 30 seconds of talking with the girl to set up the appointment.It's bummer, I try to support our local business owners but I will never buy a car from these guys again (or even pay for a service) there. Worst dealership and worst customer service I've ever experienced at a car dealership. My business buys a new car every two years like clock work and we will never be buying another one from Santa Cruz Volkswagen.

I just bought a brand new 24' Atlas Cross Sport from Tim Bonanno at the Santa Cruz VW dealership. He made sure I got exactly what I wanted, to the tee! Sourced the exact car out of the area and got it to me in a timely manor, the next day! Very beneficial for me to have bought it local, so I easily can take it to Santa Cruz VW for its matiness. None of the staff was overly pushy, and for a first time brand new car purchaser that went along way for me! He provided me with everything I needed to pull the trigger comfortably on my own, and made me feel very educated along the way. I am over all very pleased with Tim and the service he provided me, and am loving my new car!

I asked for advice and help over a simple issue. It was suggested to run an electrical diagnostic test that cost me $700. In the end, my "oil change" bill was $1200?? My tires were also rotated. Within 2 minutes of driving, lights came on indicating that tire preseeure was off. Seriously? thank you but no thanks

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The fact that I spent nearly 3,000 dollars and the issue I initially brought my car for was never addressed is beyond me. After spending the money and my car still not working, I was almost involved in a collision on the most dangerous highway in California. I reached back out to the dealership as I felt I deserved some sort of compensation, being that the car was never fixed; the service manager told me I was simply coming from an emotional place and not looking at reality. I'm sorry if I care about my life and would like to stay alive when commuting to work. Anyone in my position would be emotional. After this disgusting comment was made, I brought my car to a VW dealership in San Jose, where they treated me with the utmost respect and were able to fix my vehicle. I'm so upset I wasted my time and money at an establishment where they don't respect their customers.

We love our new ID.4, from the super stylish interior and the roominess and the performance. Isiah was a joy to work with and we would only use him if we were to buy again. He was well informed and very responsive. We mostly appreciated his easy demeanor and not the usual car salesman hustle that we dislike. 6 stars for Isiah!

Terrible customer service all around. They said I was approved for a loan when in reality I hadn t been (it was 6pm on a Thursday & banks were closed). They kept telling me to drive the car off the lot without payment. Very sketchy. I like my car but the staff is very off

Although completely inconvenient, I am happy with my decision to go over the hill to service my VW. The service member and service manager assigned to my vehicle at SC Volkswagen were not only unprofessional, but completely rude. I m always so surprised when people choose to work in customer service when it s absolutely obvious that they hate what it entails. Maybe don t take the promotion and just stay with the cars. I can guarantee you that cars don t write reviews or talk their friends out of being serviced locally.

My car was in service last week. I was charged for tire rotation but the tires were not rotated. I raised this concern before leaving the dealership. Also I checked the oil level after I got home and it is below the minimum. I have called them twice now to speak with my service advisor but no body called back. This is totally unacceptable. Charge the customer but don't actually do the work. The oil change was $62.06 for oil, $20.44 for filter+screw and $85.48 for labor. So not some cheap job. Oil level should not be below the minimum after that.

What a great team at Santa Cruz Dodge. Richard Brabo went above and beyond to facilitate the purchase of my new truck.I had special demands as I wanted to keep some custom parts off my old truck and have them installed on my new one. They took care of all of the details! I got what I feel is the best price I could have got on my new truck and they offered me more for my trade in than the competition. Shoutout to Larry Wong as well for being great to work with. I in fact have already asked them to assist me in finding my next new car.Great job guys! I know I was demanding, but I can tell you that you not only have me pleased on this deal, but I will certainly be a future customer.Thank you, Clint

They are very nice and try to be very helpful but I'm afraid the last couple times I've visited I've been frustrated that they don't listen to me when I explain what they want. If it's not just an oil change or prescribed regular service, they seem to fall apart.

Richard Brabo did an amazing job on getting the exact GTI my wife had been want for a while. He worked with me on getting the price down to match other offers I found. He went above a beyond helping me with surprising my wife on her 50th b-day. Everything went smooth from finding the car, negotiating the price, filling out the paperwork, and picking up the car. My wife loves the car and was shocked to see the car in the showroom (see photo) Nice Job Rich!

Tony Nunez the salesman who help us had all the information we need about the car. He also took the time to take pictures and videos of the car to send to us. He started the paperwork over the phone because we live out of town. Everything was ready to go when we arrived at the dealer to take the car home. I truly couldn't ask for a better experience.

Bought a VW eGolf from there. Johnny did great he's straight forward to the point and doesn't waste your time. He knows his cars and trucks he spotted my GMC Sierra and called out the year like a pro. I am enjoying my new car and have full confidence in the dealer in taking car of any maintenance or issues that appear.

I came in for a routine oil change, tire rotation, 50K inspection -- without an appointment -- at around 10am. Service Rep wrote me up, said car would be ready around 3pm, offered me a Lyft ride home. I opted to walk, since I'm only about 1.3 miles away, but I asked for the ride back to pick up my car. I got a call around 11am saying my car was ready, Lyft driver on the way. Car had been vacuumed and run through car wash. Pretty nifty.

I purchased a 2018 Tiguan from Chirs Stills. It was without a doubt the easiest car buying experience of my life. Chris was so knowledgable about the vehicle. I am a die hard VW owner so I was happy to have him confident with what he was explaining to me as far as options, mechanical, and warranties. He went through the delivery with care and I didn't feel rushed or afraid to ask questions. His follow up has been superb too! Rudy and Larry were also very easy to work with. I'm happy I chose Santa Cruz VW for my new car. This is my 6th VW.

My rating for the service should be and could be higher, but I am locked at 5-Stars! The service department went above the standard and created a healthy environment from entering the facility, facilitating the problem and paperwork, and expediting the issue with professionalism! My vehicle was inspected 5 days prior - 3 Days with the weekend - my part was ordered and service was set-up. I was contacted by the service department and I was scheduled for the next day. I dropped off my car ar 1030AM and I picked it up at 1230PM, even though it was asmall repair, my expectations was to wait until the end of the day. But after 2 hours I was back on the road with no issues, paperwork done, receipt and all service checks were emailed before I arrived and was advised my car had been washed and my keys were in the car ready to roll. My VW was covered under warranty and I had nothing else to do. Excellent service that went beyond the call!

I took my 2018 VW Passat in for its 40,000 Service at Santa Cruz Volkswagen on May 10, 2023. My Service Advisor was Arthur Aguirre. Arthur was very polite, friendly and extremely professional. He explained to me in detail everything that a 40,000 mile service entailed, and answered any questions that I had before any work was done on my vehicle. He asked if Santa Cruz VW could provide we with a ride anywhere, and I explained that I only lived 2 blocks away, but thanked him for the offer. When the work on my car was finished a few hours after I dropped it off, Arthur called to let me know it was ready. When I arrived to pick up my car, Arthur again went over the work that was performed, what parts were replaced, and which inspections they did, and the results. It was a pleasure working with Arthur, and I was impressed with his excellent customer service skills, and his willingness to answer all of my questions.

Poor management! The manager here was unprofessional with his staff and greedy. The manager I worked with tried to add a $5k "market rate" to the sticker price. I can buy the same car in the bay area without any market price added. Don't waste your time!

i don't feel like the bill was accurate. I had a 15% off any service coupon. I came in for my 40K service, presented the coupon. At check out i had to remind them to add in the discount. The discount added in was not infact 15% and not clearly labeled in the bill. it turned out to be more of a 10 % discount. This was very disappointing. It is convenient coming to this location, but I think I will be looking for another dealer for the more expensive services.

People working at VW dealership are unprofessional and incompetent. Had to argue with them to get any details on why they wouldn't repair my car. And later was uselessly referred to the body shop to replace the car's grill and calibrate Front Assist, which they couldn't do since only authorized dealers have the appropriate setup and software to do it. Basically, did everything to get me off the lot with no help. I expected a lot more from this place. Wouldn't recommend anyone to come here.
