I had a very bad experiance.I am going back today to see if the owner will give me back the good tires, and rim they stole off my car while repairing sidewall cuts that shouldn't have been repaired as I paid for replacement used tires to be put on. Oh yeah, and they replaced one of my 2 good tires which they stole with a tire and rim that was a bigger size than the other 3. Yep I took my charger in they gave me back an Iraqi roadrunner. If the owner gives me back my money, my tires, and my rim I'll write another review. They stole my tires and 1 rim and didn't even give me the 2 used ones I paid for. Unbelievable. I plan to file a bbb report and sue them civily for the cost of the stolen parts and my hundred, file a police report and tell the city as they endangered mine and my daughters life. One of the irreparable tires they patched blew out on Thanksgiving as we were leaving to go over hwy 17. Thank God it didn't make it a little further I wouldn't be talking to you.

Things were looking bad at the new tire store but Condez was willing and able to supply decent used tires with no muss or fuss. Saved me about $900.

gondez is my #1 go to. they are all super nice, trustworthy, and they will give you used tires for cheap. and they have really cute cats :)

Terrible phone connection and communication abilities, rude, impatient, and unable to give an estimate over the phone. I would have preferred to go them over so some large corporate place.. bums me out they were so rude.

Gondez tires saved my day! They are proficient and helped me right away on Easter morning when my tire blew out near the exit to this business.I have a very small car and they pulled out a tire to get me back on the road! Great prices.

I needed a tire to replace the 'weenie spare' on my Toyota Highlander. Gondez took care of it in 15 minutes, fitting a nearly new Michelin on my provided rim. All for a very reasonable price. EZPZ! They have a huge stock of used tires as well as new ones. The guy doesn't speak the best English, but that was not a problem. I will happily go there again.

THIS GUY IS A RIPOFF! Bought a used tire. Drove 6 miles and had a sidewall blowoutWent back and demanded refundOwner says How do I know that is tire I sold you? And he refused to give me back my $$DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM THIS POS!!!!!!

Carlos really cares about the quality of his business. He was super accommodating and willing to work with my situation involving my rims (EVEN WHEN I WAS TURNED DOWN RUDELY BY THE WHEEL GUYS ) and the best part? For an amazing price! During the consultation, he made sure the tire was compatible with my vehicle and now I m driving like nothing ever happened. Thank you!

When in a tough bind financially for tires, this is the only place in Santa Cruz that i know of that can replace tires at their cost. I'm talking very affordable along with Friendly's service. To top it all off, fast! I love these guys!

Got a used tire and turns out next day i noticed the air bubble it had- i went back to Gondez and they replaced- later noticed that replacement was low- rather than wasting my time again with them i went elsewhere- they Installed a tire and noticed broken sensor- this new place then warned me about this place.

I managed to run over a nail in both back tires. Both tires were almost threadbare on the inside rim which I was told was dangerous. Danny explained what was wrong and showed me how to check my tires in the future and when to get them rotated to avoid the tires ending up dangerous again.They replaced them with used tires, I only had a little cash on me so I couldn't afford new ones but these look new to me so I'm happy.Great experience!! Thanks for the car care lesson, the fast and friendly service, and getting me back on the road in a short time!

don t ever go here. if you want something affordable check out west bay tires in santa cruz. they re completely incompetent here and will go the cheapest and lowest-tech route possible on any service. they weren t able to remove a part from something i was getting serviced on my car and instead of not taking further action after difficulty, they decided to keep trying until it broke and offered no help or solutions. now after spending over $100, I now have to spend an additional $200. Stay away from this place by all means.

Last year my son called me in he was stuck with a flat tire No spare. I live close to this place so I went there to pick up a used tire to bring to my son. I waited half an hour and they ignored me basically. Then they said if I want to look myself go ahead and look. I found one tire on the rack inside that was the right size. I took it to my son 20 mi away to have it mounted at a store near him. But the tech at the store wouldn't mount it saying it had a hole in the sidewall. So we were forced to buy a brand new tire so we can get the car back on the road. Then I brought the tire back to gondez and they gave me a difficult time with a refund claiming that I should have known there was a hole in the sidewall because I picked it off the shelf myself. Never ever ever going back for this place. There's a tire shop on Portola about across from 7-Eleven calderpn is the name. I recommend that place at this time. New and used. No rip-offs.

Ripped us off with tires that had sidewall bubbles. An unrepairable condition. I paid while they installed the tires that they said were good. My husband noticed the bubbles when I was paying and he please take them off and that we would settle for an exchange. They said there would be an upcharge. Wow! Waited half the day while the "boss" left. The younger worker tried to be helpful and said he couldn't find the same size tire and we would need to come back the next day. We came back the next day and the boss said no exchange. He kept ignoring us as we kept asking for either an exchange or our money back. We finally gave up and left as a middle aged worker man with dark hair and mustache threatened us with violence. Can you imagine if we hadn't known that a sidewall bubbles is hazardous and can blow at any moment. We have children. This place was a good deal when they opened. Now seem to be run a younger hostile druggie. Another customer lost but they apparently get enough people coming in that they dont care about selling g dangerous tires. There should be regulations to protect customers. From the dangers like this place.

The place has good deals but its a bit dirty and they made me wait while they helped people that showed up after me. Also, i left after having my tire repaired only to have it flat again the next day. It took 3 more trips there before they were able to get the valve stem in the tire right which was the real issue.

These guys are great. Drop in service. Just had them swap some tires and rims. Done within the hour, very fast and a fair price. This was a referral after other shops would not even consider my request. I ll start here next time.

These guys always help me out when I have been in a pinch. I have had bad luck in construction zones and have hit big hunks of metal on the road twice now. Both times this has been the only tire shop in town that could replace the single tire without having to place a special order. Very fair pricing, incredibly fast service.

Very rude, and unhelpful. After being told they had a reasonably priced set of used tires they could install for me in a few minutes, I waited more than an hour and a half. At that point, they told me that it would be another hour or two before they could get to me.I have no idea what the hold up was. There was 3 people working, and only two cars before me. Both had already been started when I arrived. One was finished and gone, and the second one in limbo.After the hour and a half wait, I left and never went back. This was the second time I have had this kind of experience with this place.

Here for my third time. Great service and friendly staff! Also a wide selection of used tires. However communication can be a little lacking, and you should carefully inspect any used tires you get with your own eyes, as they may sell you a dry rotted tire.

The gentleman that runs this establishment went out of his way to clean off and remove the studs that were stripped off my truck and that's another 100 dollar service and he didn't even sweat me for it. This guy is the go to guy when dealing with your tires or anything for that matter. He will never leave your vehicle without making sure it is safe and drivable to California road standards thank you so much againGONDEZ TEAM IS SANTA CRUZ FINEST

Fair work at fair prices. You aren't going to get shuttle rides or a warm waiting room with hot coffee, but you aren't paying for it either. I pay these guys to do the work I don't have time to do anymore. I don't need dealership warranties. I just need my tires fixed/ballanced, rotors turned, brakes replaced with pads I bring in, etc.. Perfect for me.

We got a flat tier hiking in the area on Sunday, and didn't want to drive all the way home on our spare. When we got to Gondez it seemed closed, but then he came out of his near-by house and took care of us. He repaired our tier quickly and professionally and charged a good price (20). We even left a tip for working on Sunday and checking he pressure in all of our tiers. The whole repair and changing took about 20 min. So, I don't know if he's always around on Sunday, but it seems a good place to fix a tier around Santa Cruz...

This place is a rip off. I took a tire and rim to be matched. Was told they would call me back. Never got a call back. After 1 wk i called them. They acted like they had never saw me before. My rim and tire went missing. Now when i call they act like they dont speak english. So i spoke to them in spanish and they still act like they dont know what im talking about. The reviews said they are good and honest but unfortunately i have had just the opposite. Dishonest and very bad. So disappointed someone like this representing our culture/race.

Ricardo saved me! I got a large screw in my front tire of my nearly brand new Subaru outback and he was able to make the repair in less than 20 minutes! Grateful for his efficiency and for saving me from having to buy a new tire!

Nice guys...work hard and as fast as possible. Put tires from back to front and balanced for 30.00. They can get a little overwhelmed so you gotta make sure they understand what you want. I'll definitely go back if need be when im in this area.

Fixed my flat at 8 in the morning on Sunday! He is fast and I am forever grateful how quickly he took care of everything. Highly recommend!
