Found these guys online to do some A/C work. Went to the shop only to realize that the two mechanics who work here are actually the owners. They took care of me like an old friend. They are master mechanics from a big name dealer who started their own shop. Good guys. Highly recommend. Shop is clean and professional.

Can't say enough good things for this business. So great to have a reliable and honest mechanic for your automobiles. David and Steven are top notch Honda experts, everything you would expect from the dealer but not at dealership prices, wait times etc. Bring your other makes and models as well because it's obvious they know cars backwards and forwards.

I've been looking for an honest, affordable, thorough, patient, and professional auto shop to have my 2001 Toyota 4Runner repaired & maintained for over 10 years. I FINALLY FOUND THEM!! I couldn't ask for a cleaner shop, communicative & friendly owners, informative staff, and overall pleasant and comfortable experience. OH! They ALSO WORK on SATURDAYS! The list goes on.... Don't waste ANY MORE TIME and money with corporate owned shops. These guys know how to work, know what they're doing and will get your vehicle back on the road as efficiently as possible.

2nd time here and very happy with their knowledge and service. This time I asked them to check out a used car I purchased for my daughter. Steven and Dave did a thorough job and found one issue the Honda dealer (not Ocean Honda) who sold us the car did not find or disclose. They also helped us get some window tinting done.

Excellent work. Finished on time, no kinks or surprises, cost exactly at the estimate. Loaned us a great CRV for the time our Subaru was having a head gasket repair. We definitely recommend Cen Cal.

They have the best customer service! They all are super sweet and work really hard making sure your car is perfect! I brought my Nissan Versa 2015 in and they did a great job fixing it up! The job took a while since they had to order parts, but they kept me consistently updated! Great place overall!

On Sunday, March 10th my wife was returning from Turlock, CA. The car started to sputter and lose power. She finally made it back to Santa Cruz. I instantly started looking around for auto shops in the area because taking it to ocean Honda of Santa Cruz was going to be quite pricey. I came across Cen Cal Automotive, and I gave them a call and knowing it was Sunday, I had a feeling they would be closed, and yes, they were closed. To my surprise, I received a call after I hung up. I explained the situation and they said to bring it in the next morning, which would have been Monday the 11th of March. As it turned out, all the car needed was a set of new spark plugs. The first person we met at Cen Cal Automotive was David. We went over a couple of things, and he said he'd get back to us in a few hours. In the event that it was going to be a serious issue, we would have to get a rental car for the week. As I mentioned earlier, it was just a set of spark plugs. They did a fantastic job on the car, and on top of that, they did it in a timely manner, which allowed us to pick the car up before the end of the day in return home. Pricing here was fantastic. There is no way that ocean Honda was going to beat the pricing we received from this automotive shop. I was super happy for the work they performed and how professional they were. I will continue to use Cen Cal Automotive for all of my auto service needs. Bottom line, if you're ever in the need for a good auto service center, you need to give this place a try. Call up, get a quote and I'll guarantee, that you'll get a competitive quote for the work that needs to be done. And they guarantee all their work. Thank you so much for a job well done!

Was desperately looking for a mechanic to help my mom out with her 2017 Hyundai which the transmission randomly gave out. Steven helped us out and was very patient, honest and informative. He replaced the transmission and did the brakes as well. The car feels brand new!

Cen Cal got me in quickly when my usual place couldn t, did a great job, & for a good price! The plastic shield was forgotten to be put back on but they told me to bring it back in & put it on right away in a little under 10 minutes. May have to make it my new usual place. Would recommend!

Amazing experience at Cen Cal which says a lot considering car problems are never fun to deal with! They were quick to answer the phone every time and get me in for an appointment. They gave me a ride to work and made sure it was convenient timing for me to drop off and pick up my car. Everyone was friendly and a pleasure to talk to, in addition to affordable and upfront pricing. I will definitely be back and recommend them to anyone looking for a new auto shop to go to!

Recently, I visited Cen Cal Auto Repair for a thermostat and coolant issue but ended up getting my brakes replaced too. As a walk-in customer, they quickly understood my urgency and provided fast service.Being new in town, I appreciated their welcoming approach and felt I received honest service. These guys are the best ! My car had all the symptoms of a broken transmission and they quickly found out the issue was in the computer and after replacing it my car runs perfect again. Honest prices and great professionals I'm super satisfied !

o got quoted a real fair 160$ and brought my own part. i tried to fix it myself but could t so i know that 160 was fair. next day the part was in and he said it was super hard, which i believe. still only charged me the 160. super great will be back. plus it s been about a week and she s still all good!

I took my car in for an oil change and to get a few questions answered. The service was prompt and Steven answered my questions without trying to convince me to do unnecessary services, checking in every step of the way. I highly recommend Cen Cal Automotive for their integrity and expertise.

I had an urgent mechanical issue and by good fortune found CenCal via Google late Friday evening and discovered that Steven and Juan were open on Saturday morning. I arrived first thing Saturday and was treated with respect, kindness and efficiency . These people are excellent. We were traveling in Santa Cruz and noticed we were leaking transmission fluid. We needed to drive back to Southern California that day, and they took time to inspect the car and add transmission fluid so that we could make it home. AT NO COST. If we lived in San Cruz, we would definitely choose them for our car service.

The guys at Cen Cal Automotive are not only really great at what they do, but are also nice, honest and reasonable. Finding highly skilled auto mechanics that are also such good guys who will do everything in their power to remedy your vehicular problems takes a lot of stress out of the repair process.

The best experience I've had at an auto repair shop in a very long time. I stopped by the shop for a window that was stuck open, and Steven found the problem and had me back on my way in under 15 minutes. Awesome guy! They definitely have a new loyal customer!
