Bobby's Pit Stop is fantastic! Especially Bobby (Jr?). My '93 Ford F250 had a 'death wobble' in the front end, and two other shops just shrugged their shoulders and said 'sorry, nothing we can do', but had no problem charging me for my troubles. Then, my brother referred me to Bobby's Pit Stop. Bobby and his team did a thorough inspection, diagnosed the issue(s), and proposed a fix. The entire front end suspension needed to be replaced, and for a truck of this vintage, the parts were not readily available, so Bobby hit the phones, and within a few days, he found all of the necessary components at various places around the country! Who does that?! I initially balked at the price to repair the truck (it's old, and it was a TON of parts and labor to make it safe again) but Bobby didn't blink or pressure me into moving forward with the repairs. Then, when I saw what it was gonna cost me to replace it with a similar truck, I called him and asked him if he could still get all the parts. So back to phones he went, got everything shipped to the shop that he needed to make the repairs in about a week, and had the thing completely rebuilt in 2.5 days. I'm so glad I trusted these guys to fix my truck! It runs like new and I love it. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an honest, reputable mechanic. There's not many of them left!

Arrived home from an overseas trip & my car was dead on arrival when I got to long term parking & although AAA got it going there was something seriously wrong with it & I barely got it home on 1/2 power.Called Bobby s on a recommendation from a friend who had good experiences with them & although they couldn t fit me in till Tues (called midday on Thurs) they correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone & suggested I try disconnecting the battery, wait 10 seconds & then start & run the car for 30 mins which totally reset the car & it s now back to 100% Appreciate the willingness to help, the industry knowledge to diagnose the problem correctly & the ethics to take care of your customers 1st Fair Play & Thanks

This place needs to be shut down, there completely ripping people off and lying about the work they do on the cars. Told me they replaced my breaks with all new ceramic breaking, when they did not and charged me for it. I recently took it in to the dealership and they said that Bobby's pit stop is a fraud and lied. Be careful with these guys, they are money hungry and don't care about your vehicle!

Bobby's pitstop is great! Keeps my older vehicle running and they stand behind their work! My retired mechanic father was inpressed enough that he now takes his cars there too

My car broke down on Christmas night(alternator). I was able to get my car in to Bobby's on Tuesday the next day and had it fixed by Wednesday. They were so quick with the repairs and got me back in my car. Definitely recommend if you need help with your car.

Wow. I have never been to such a well run automotive repair and smog shop.The scheduling was easy through Linsey and the automotive mechanic who did the smog was quick ,efficient and professional.I'll be back for all my Auto needs.

10 stars! Bobby and his crew are exceptional mechanics, they provide expeditious and quality work!! I will never go to another auto body shop in Santa cruz! They are outstanding in all categories, hard-working, honest and such a wonderful business!

I took my Mazda 3 in to have it checked as I had been neglecting it since I purchased it used in 2017. I was fearing the worst and some expensive services on it. None of that, they just did an oil change, replaced the air filter, rotated the tires (they need to be changed they told me), inspected the car and told me everything was good. They also fixed a part under the car that I had broken.They were professional and very easy to work with. They were very honest and told me that I should shop around for tires as they didn't have the best deals on them.Staff is super friendly and their customer service is outstanding.I think I have found my forever auto repair shop!I will definitely be back for any work I need done in future.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

Knowledgeable staff and great work. Reasonable pricesEdit:Approximately 1 year later, I started experiencing some issues with my rear brakes that had been done here. Bobby stands by his work and was quick to take a drive with me so I could show him the sounds I was complaining about.Work was done the next day and at no charge. I would recommend Bobby's pit stop to anyone looking for a solid mechanic who takes care of their customers.

Bobby s is far and above the best place to get work done on your vehicle. Whether a small service or a big job. I would trust them. They took care of my 05 Toyota Sequoia perfectly

I recently scheduled an oil change/battery issues and replacement/remote start/smog test at Bobby's Pit stop. All was going well until we received a phone call that the battery change would cost $195 (seemed a bit high) with supposedly a dead cell. I called around to several other places and was quoted $100-125 with no service fee charged. I called in and requested not to do the battery change and mentioned much cheaper quotes elsewhere, guy on the phone talked to another and stated that it was due to a 30 minute service charge (30 minutes to replace a battery??). When my wife went to pick up the car everyone was friendly, then when she went to turn the car on it wouldn't start. The dealership had turned the light to the on position (we always have it on Auto, no exceptions) and left it there, I'll let you draw your own conclusion as to whether or not it was intentional. She acted nice, got a jump and left to Oil Can Henry's down the road.There she was quickly and politely advised that her battery was testing fine at 80% Life approx, they did a quick check and realized that the battery was low on water thus causing issues (apparently Bobby's doesn't check for this or prefers not to mention). The quickly filled it up and suggested waiting a couple days and said they didn't want to charge for work that wasn't necessary (ie replacing a perfectly good battery). My wife happily tipped $20 for the good service with multiple polite/profession service people at Oil Can Henry's and went on her way.An hour later, battery works great, remote start running well and it was at no cost from a professional establishment. Bobby's Pit stop overcharged, didn't do a thorough review of the battery and on top of all that I just realized today they didn't even provide or likely complete the smog test on our vehicle although they did charge for it. Avoid this location at all costs and go to a reputable store right down the road.

Very efficient and professional shop. I was looking for a smog inspection for a pre 90's vehicle--not the easiest thing to find nowadays --and Bobby's did it in a timely manner for a reasonable price. Recommended.

Made an appointment to have some front suspension work done. They were helpful on the phone and clear about prices. I dropped my car off in the morning. It was fixed on schedule and I was able to pick up next day. Everything couldn't have been handled more professionally. I will definitely be back for any work I need done in future.

I have been taking vehicles to be repaired at Bobby's pit stop for many years. He is honest, does good work, and is reasonable. Plus he's a real personable guy and he and his staff are a pleasure to be around. Very down-to-earth and friendly.

Highly recommend Bobby, Jerry and the whole shop. They get the job done with reasonable prices to get you and your vehicle back on the road. Very knowledgeable and their customer service is outstanding. Also a pass or don t pay smog shop, what could be better?

Only place I get my oil change is at Bobby's Pit Shop everytime my reminder goes off. They're super easy to work with and respectful. I've had my 2002 Chevy truck for 16 years and counting thanks to their services.

The customer care I receive from the friendly staff at Bobby's Pit Stop has always been top-notch. Their diagnosis of issues with my older Volvo has always been accurate and I have never had to come back for a redo. Honest and trustworthy service, what more can I ask for!Please thank the mechanics that worked on my Volvo & found the axle problem that I was not aware of. I can only imagine the horror I would have been in if it was undiagnosed. Thank you!

I bring all 3 of my cars to Bobby's Pit Stop for service. They are always accommodating, friendly and professional. I have never been disappointed with their work. In this day and age, it's difficult to find a business with the amount of integrity that Bobby's Pit Stop has.

Good customer service and quick turnaround. Dispatch problem when scheduler did not pass on that I would wait for car. Service was not completed when expected, but dispatcher comped the smog check due to miscommunication. I'll go back again.

My daughter is a student at UC Santa Cruz, and 400 miles from home. I felt helpless as she was experiencing intermittent loss of power followed by hard starts. I looked up a mechanic shop on-line, read some reviews and hoped for the best as she made an appointment at Bobby's Pit Stop. She took her 2006 Hyundai in for repair. She was treated with respect and courtesy and was listened to as she explained the symptoms. They were honest as they explained how a problem can be difficult to diagnose when it can not be witnessed first hand. The nailed it their first try as it turned out to be a sensor of some sort. She drove away for a fair price, but we still had to wait and see if the problem would return. It has not. Thanks guys for the nice treatment, the quick repair and mostly for a parents piece of mind!
