I always have good experiences shopping at AutoZone but this time they sucked. I bought a wheel bearing, pressed it in and it wound up being the wrong bearing. I called at 7:50 and told them I was coming in, and as I pulled the parking lot at 7:59, they were locking the door. They could have sold me the part but refused. Don't expect them to do anything to help out in a pinch. So I went there first thing the next day to get the part they said they had, to be told they did not have it. Never again AutoZone Water st Santa Cruz!

I was a ride a long er, so I didn't have a list of stuff to get. So I wandered aimlessly. Kinda fun. Poked at some stuff and then went and helped my friend out. The people that work at this AutoZone are super nice and helpful. They stick with you and make you feel like your getting more personal service. It's nice.

I really love autozone from the start of a project to the finish they are there for you. They will print out helpful papers on whatever project you're working on . Also if it's the wrong part it's easy to return.l as long as you have proof of purchase.

Auto zone is the best..They did a scan and replaced my battery..darn, wish I remembered the kids name who helped he was super helpful and nice..Thx auto zone!

Staff is borderline incompitant. They really don't understand much about automotive anything. The prices on just about everything instock are insulting. That being said, I have spent ove r 3k there last year alone.

I was accused of stealing, they kept my backpack and theatened me. I came back in the store and had to raise a ruckus in order to get my own property back. They were like a gang. Scared insident. I'll never go into that store again and I will definitely tell my friends of my experience with this house of unpleasantness.

If the right people are working you'll be in and out fast. Otherwise it might be a few. But they have what you need or can get it quick!

Luis was so helpful! My low engine light turned on while on vacation and I ended up just needing some oil to top off. Luis helped me find the right oil. Then when realizing I needed a funnel to put the oil in my car, Luis kindly offered to help me put the oil in and make sure the car was working. Thank you Luis! You went above and beyond! You are the best!

Zero stars. Stopped in for new wiper blades as I was traveling through. Employee offered to install for me, but was told by her manager to ask for help from another employee. She refused to get help and broke my windshield. No acknowledgement or apology whatsoever. She should have accepted the help as she clearly didn't know what she was doing. I could have done it myself, but again, she offered. Spoke to the manager on duty who told me to return the next to speak to the store manager. I told her I couldn't as I was traveling. Called and spoke to the manager when I returned home and was told the only way they could help at all was by driving 3.5 hours back to show my receipt even though the other manager took down all my info and took photos of my broken windshield. It's 2021; email exists. Called the district manager and can't get a callback. Any type of acknowledgement for their mistake at all would be nice. Adding to my review 3 months later - I have yet to receive any type of acknowledgement or compensation for the $500 I had to spend on a new windshield. I was told they were mailing me a refund of what I spent on the wiper blades and they straight lied. I haven't received anything.

Completely rude service. Employees standing around doing nothing just looking at the people in line but not willing to help anyone. And when it is your turn they are unhelpful in every way. Never go there

Water street autozone is making young girls lift batteries down from the shelves that are higher than 5ft.with out a step ladder. The step ladder didn't fit through the isles and cant be used. Now my little girl has a sprained back, and had to go to E. R.I'm going to reportautozone to OSHA todayFor making their employees work with out the proper safety protocols and equipment.

Handful of staff really know what they are doing and even more don t know what they are doing. More than likely they will take forever and might even give you the wrong part but they are all really pleasant. 4 starsGo here instead of O Reillys down the street. They will give you the wrong part and be rude about it. 0 stars

First day of vacation and my husband's rear window hinge broke on his Escape. He called this location and they were able to have the part shipped to the store next day. Of course we had no tools on us so they allowed him to borrow all the tools he needed to fix it on the spot. Super helpful and we really appreciated their help and back on the road safe and secure in no time. Thank you.

The guy behind the counter may have been lacking enthusiasm but after seeing the customer base in the parking lot, I could see how the job could be challenging.He got me a replacement Battery without drama, asked me if I needed the customary extra parts and got me out the door in less than 10 minutes.Four stars for that!

I bought antifreeze which I poured myself and the clerk came outside to check on me, which I thought was a good sentiment only to demand a tip. For checking on me. No shame, he literally said " where's my tip" and it was dead serious not a joke...I said no, thank you. Had you done mechanical work sure but not today.

Ruben, an employee at the water Street location, helped me out so much! He went above and beyond to help me fix my brakes and when I asked what I could do he just said to have a Merry Christmas and that he was glad I was safe. Very cool guy and super helpful service. Recommend this place all the way!

I am a regular. Most of the time I get what I'm looking for. But today before I drove over I stopped at Kmart and saw a similar item at a lower price. I asked Tony about matching the price. She asked the manager and oh surprise! They matched the price. Kudos to both Tony and Juan. Never disappointed at Auto zone. Get in the Zone!

So I went in and I bought a lightning charger for my iPhone and on the shelf I saw a charger lightning cable for five dollars on sale clearance sale picked up the item I took it to the counter and I paid for it not realizing that they actually charge me $27.30 for it hey charger cable. I made mention to the cashier about the five dollars sale price tag and they didn t honor it they Told me I can return it if I don t like the price and they weren t willing to work with me window they had falsely advertise their price I was just amazed

I have ordered the same part 3 times with different employees to find no record of it even being ordered when I inquire where and why the part doesn't show.The 2 shorter woman that work there are beyond incompetent and dont even know what hoses are used for (or so 1 of them claimed when I asked for some). I had to go behind the counter and show her where they were and how to f-ing cut it.Given the second time I showed up there were multiple people waiting at the locked door during business hours with the sign showing "open" while both woman were in plain sight leaning against the counter and chatting I would simply guess they are worthless employees.In all fairness the few guys there were quite friendly and seemed helpful to the other customers who needed it. So maybe this is a fluke, but at this point it has screwed my week.

I had purchased a Duralast Platinum battery with 3 year warranty. It died at 2 yr 11 months. I walked in with old battery, they replaced it instantly, no questions. They were polite, efficient, no run-around. I will be a repeat customer with AutoZone Santa Cruz. Thank you!

Excellent service! Check-engine light came on, so I decided to go to a reputable mechanic. They said it would cost $100 just for diagnosis (I have a Merz). Came to this AutoZone, withing two minutes they scanned the code and gave me a diagnosis - loose fuel cap! Gosh, I don't even imagine paying $100 for that. BTW, this was a free service that they do!
