Shout out to Power Automotive for always taking excellent care of my vehicles! Even in a pinch they get the job done! I would highly recommend these guys for any car troubles you maybe having! If I could give ZERO stars I would. In April I took my car for oil change, spark plugs and transmission fluid change.I paid for those services but recvd 2 out of 3. I didn't realize my transmission oil was never changed until October when I noticed my car was leaking. I called Power and was told it may be my oil. When I told them it was on the transmission side, I was told it may be an issue with the transmission and possibly need a new one.That statement raised a red flag. The transmission oil is not the same as the engine. I took it to 3 different shops. All telling me the same:Cracked gasket, TRANSMISSION OIL WAS NEVER CHANGEDI wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially females. I will recommend getting 3 estimates. POWER AUTOMOTIVE diffinately doesn't offer quality service. They just take your money. Now I have to pay extra for a job I paid for with Power but never received the service.I will say one thing: THANK YOU POWER AUTOMOTIVE. I FOUND AN HONEST MECHANIC WHO CHARGES FAIRLY

In April 2022, I drove my vehicle in for an oil change, spark plug change and transmission oil change. 4 months later fluid began to leak from the transmission side. I was confused because it appeared black and I know transmission fluid is not black.I called Power Automotive advising I'm leaking fluid. At first they wanted to dismiss it being the transmission oil saying its probably the oil, but when I told them it's not the oil it's leaking from the transmission, right away the response I received was, "you may need to replace your transmission ".That statement immediately raised a red flag. Telling me that is like going to the dentist abd without having x-rays being told YOU NEED A ROOT CANAL.I took my car to 3 other transmission shops in the area. ALL TELLING ME MY TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS NEVER CHANGED, THE SEAL IS CRACKED. The last shop also advised anytime fluid is changed you ALWAYS replace the seals for both oil and transmission.Diffinately now understand whythis shop is never as busy as they claim. I paid $800 just to discover transmission change was never done.The GOOD REVIEWS are from individuals who probably had a good experience, but as a female I believe I was ripped off and really taken advantage of.Services: Transmission, Oil change

Fraudsters! We took our van to them, and they gave a price for transmission fluid change. It was there a few hours and we get a call, "Oh we gave you the price for the kit but not the fluid, and the fluid is $200+ more." We came back, took the van to AAMCO and they confirmed that the original price was accurate. Don't fall for Power's last minute price gauging!Service: Transmission repair

I had a dead cylinder on my Sonata that turned out to be a bad exhaust valve. I normally do most of my maintaince and basic repairs but a valve job was more than I have the time or tools to do myself.Having been a mechanic and tow driver back in the 1970s ive always been leery about finding a good mechanic / shop that you can trust. I wont use a dealer for repairs unless it is connected to warranty work. Ive had way too many bad experiences with dealerships overcharging and doing poor quality work.After checking on line reviews I decide to give Power Automotive a try at repairing my car. I spoke to Richard on the phone and then dropped the car off with them.It took a week to get the parts since the car is on the newer side and complete "kits" and remanufactured heads are not available at this time. So everything had to be orders as separate parts.About 2 weeks later I got the car back at the low side of what was estimated. The work appears to have been done professionally and my car runs great again.They also did a multipoint check and made a couple recommendations on needed repairs. These were things that i was aware of and also planning to repair myself. Getting this info from Richard helped me again confirm my feeling that Power is a professional and honest shop.I will come back to them with any of my other 5 cars for anything that i cant repair myself. I completely recommend Power Automotive and thank Richard for his professional service and help.Service: Engine repair

Top notch from start to finish! Richard is awesome! He explained everything in great detail through every step of the transmission rebuild on my '03 Camry. We picked the car up last evening after the rebuild was completed and it shifts as smooth as silk and feels great! I went to Power Automotive looking to have some bearing pressed out of a differential housing. After showing them what I had, they did the work and then gave me back my parts in the order they took them out. I really appreciated the time they took to educate me and give me tips on reassembly. This is a real automotive shop and I'm glad to have them in my neighborhood.

The place I usually take our cars to which is by my work in Culver City was completely unhelpful. They wouldn't even bother looking at our XTerra because the engine light wasn't on so they claimed they wouldn't know where to look. Boy was I lucky to have a friend recommend this place. They found out what was wrong pretty quickly and fixed it right up and most likely charged me less. We'll be taking our cars here from now on for any or our service needs.

These guys were Great! I took my 1969 Chevy Camaro Classic Show car. I've never let anyone touch my car and they were so careful and gentle even layed out soft blankets all around the engine to protect my paint job.I will only be going to them for all my car needs, and recommend they with 10 stars, even though it only allows 5Thanks Richard!

Richard was awesome. He explained the work to be performed and the cost associated with the service. Keep in touch while the vehicle was being serviced to advise me of other issued uncovered during the service. Car was finished before the suggested time.

I appreciate all the work that was put into repairing my car. It's a problem vehicle, so it needs some work. Driving is a bit smoother now. I'm sure that there was a deep issue that was fixed that will extend the life of my car.However, nothing fixed the immediate issue at hand. I am still having the same problem I had before it was brought in that was specifically mentioned (the engine doesn't start at times), although since then, I have pinpointed even further how the issue presents itself and I believe I can find a solution for it on my own with the maintenance I perform myself. Thank you again for your work.

Their honest service.I shopped around and these guys always charge a little less than their competitors. They also have a free shuttle which is pretty rare for an auto repair shop unless you are a dealership.Chrysler 300 CService Date: 09/11/2015

Only place I have found that I feel totally comfortable and safe in taking my car for repairs. Always up front about repairs and pricing. I know what is supposed to be done has been done. As long as I have a car and living in the area, I will be continuing to be a repeat customer.
