Brought in my 2012 kia sorento because the car was late at shifting and the car broke down in the parking. Leon's diagnosed the issue as clogged catalytic converter reducing the engine power. The overheated and clogged catalytic converter destroyed the shifting cable. So it wasn't actually a transmission issue but it became one through osmosis I suppose. Our car now runs so much better. The repair was handled with tact, compassion, and professionalism.Would definitely recommend.

This is the only place for transmission work! I have been dealing with this shop for years and when my transmission started slipping, I had it towed over to Leon's with no hesitation. Chris was honest and straight to the point and the final price was what he quoted originally. He called with updates, tolerated and answered all my questions. He didn't try to upsell anything, even when i asked about upgrades he explained why it wasn't necessary to spend more money on more expensive parts. We need more shops run like this in SCV. Thanks again Chris and everyone at Leon's!

I am happy to have gotten this location recommended for our Honda. Chris was friendly and answered all of the questions I had. They worked on my car and got it back within a couple of days. Pricing was also very affordable. We will definitely be going back to this location in the future in case any issues arise with our vehicles.

I had my truck at two other shops prior to taking it to Leon's and both of them had my truck for almost 4 weeks and failed to fix the issue and failed to communicate updates on my vehicle. I took it to Leon's and within 4 days I had my vehicle back as good as new! They updated every day as to what was going on and they were a quarter of the price estimated (literally) at the other shops. 10/10 will recommend!

A very honest shop. VERY honest. I spoke with the receptionist, Joanne, quite a bit about bringing my car in to get work done even though I am a mechanic myself. I just don t have the time right now. They were very understanding. I am writing this review before I even have work done on my car. This review is based on the conversation and customer service that they have thus far provided. I must say, I am a bit speechless as to the service and understanding that they provide, especially during these times where good mechanics and honest auto repair shops are few and far between. Once the work has been done on my car, I will update and/or write a new review. So far... I am very optimistic with Leon s Transmissions. VERY optimistic.

Recommended by another great shop, Big John's, these guys are fast, efficient, reasonable. My repairs did take most of the day but it was a pleasure waiting. Big John's replaced our axels with 220,000 miles on the vehicle & did a great job. When we developed a leak they recommended what they described as the best place to get this done, recognizing they didn't have the tooling to do it there. I really respect both of MY favorite locations & strongly recommend both or either depending your vehicle & needed service. THANK YOU!!

My mechanic recommended I give them a call . They were on it right away... I had my truck back in 48 hrs and so far so good.. they have a clean shop and it looks like a good bunch of guys working there..the Boss Steve welcome you with a smile... I would recommend them to any one who needs Transmission work...

Friendly service. They new exactly what I was there for, based on my phone call days earlier. The mechanic who test drove my car warned me that, depending on what they found when they dropped the pan, it may be best to NOT do a full transmission service but, if they did, it would take about 3 hours. All looked good when they dropped the pan, so they did the service and it only took 2 hours. Now it's running smoother than ever.

We have had two great experiences with Steve and his shop. 2018 and 2020. I like that this company has been around as a family shop for generations. It shows they do good work and give great value. Unfortunately, I had to get a new transmission. Leon's came recommended by my trusted mechanic. The car runs great. The service was done in the time they estimated, and same for the estimated cost. So far so good!

"100% Honesty"My truck had a leak and a bit of noise in the transmission. I was informed that the leak was a minor work (less than $200) and the noise would definitely cost me more in order to open the transmission. I was told the noise was not affecting the transmission as they tested it and ran the codes. He recommended me to continue driving the truck since the noise is not bad at all and to save my MONEY. WOW!!!!! You don't get to hear that a lot these days.DEFINITELY recommend !!!

Leon s transmission rebuilt the transmission of my 2008 Equinox in 2017 or so and it feels as good as ever. Highly recommend, very good quality work.

We have a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria that we brought in multiple times for transmission failure and they installed or rebuilt the transmission and we ve had consistent issues ever since had to go back a second time for her to get rebuilt I know my friends not good on it but still I ve never seen such poor strength parts used in the rebuild. Then our most recent issue with it we had codes for the solenoids and it wasn t shifting right! So we took it back to them they could not find the problem And said it was PCM/ECU Issue or the harness from the transmission to the computer they said they checked the internal harness on the transmission And pulled the pen down but it didn t even look like they touch the bolts. So we hauled it off to Ford they told us they couldn t find a problem With the Computer or harness and recommended the transmission needed to be replaced. We cannot afford that so we brought it home did more diagnoses pull things apart and guess what we found the transmission harness wasn t even factory Ford and the connectors were a poor quality and reinstall the factory Ford internal transmission harness and problem solve both forward and Leon s could not find the problem and mediocre backyard mechanic had no problem finding it pretty sad.

I highly recommend Leon's Transmission in Canyon Country. I was explained what steps would be taken to make sure the job was done correctly. I was told what the approximate fee would be minimally and worst case scenario. I was updated along the way. I felt our car was in good hands. We picked up the vehicle a week later and drove away a satisfied customer.

Just in for transmission servicing on my 3/4 ton Van , have had 2 transmissions on 2 vehicles done by Leon's without any complications . I really appreciate the level of honesty and knowledge I have received by Leon's Staff and would recommend their services to anyone needing quality transmission work at a reasonable price . My son-in-law had Leon's Transmission in Reseda install a rebuilt transmission in his Toyota Rav4 in February of 2017. Within a month of having this work done he and family left the country and went overseas. I, the father in law was left to babysit the Rav4 and drive in occasionally while he and his family were gone. 25 months and 5,500 miles after getting the rebuilt transmission, the car developed a shudder and a trouble code for a faulty electric solenoid within the transmission came up. The warranty lapsed at 24months. Nevertheless, I took the vehicle to Leon's in Newhall and made an appeal to them. The manager, Steve Cassel, told me they would take care of the situation though the transmission was out of warranty. A week later, the transmission was repaired and I was driving the vehicle home, for a total repair cost of zero, nada, zilch! This experience is/was a good example of a company that takes care of its customers, and goes above an beyond what they are obligated to do. From the technician, Gerard, who confirmed the fault, to Alicia in the office, and the manager, Steve, this is a quality shop. I would not hesitate to bring a problem transmission to these people again. Thank you Steve and Leon's Transmission.
