They got the job done and my old Honda Civic passed, but $140 seems a bit steep. I mean, DMV wants $160 to renew registration, so I'm spending $300 to drive a car that's only worth about $1K.

I called Smog Queen Star Station, and they informed me that the smog test for my car would be $55 over the phone. However, when I arrived and presented a $30 coupon I had found on their website, they raised the initial price to $100 and then applied the $30 coupon, bringing the final cost to $70. This misleading pricing tactic left a negative impression. I strongly recommend not going thereService: Smog certification

After seeing all the 5 star reviews, it shouldn t be surprising to see another. Went in for my very first smog check and I m glad it was here. I got helped by Manny - great guy, very polite and professional. Work was done in about 15 minutes.I have no other smog check experiences to compare this one to, but it sets the bar exceptionally high. Would recommend!

Dishonest business practice. No prices posted on site. Just $30 off coupon. Then when you go in, he asks, what price did you see? I said 30 dollars off coupon. He says, okay $70. That is, $100 regular price. So I protest and he says, okay, what price did you see. And make me have to go hunt for the price wherever I can. No wonder no prices posted on the site. $70 is over 2x with competitors.Service: Smog certification

I found an online coupon with about the best price in the area. I was a bit cautious due to the low price, but afterwards was impressed with courteous professional service. I went in the early afternoon, and there was only one guy before me finishing up a test (the proprietor also acknowledged me when I arrived) so I only had to wait a few minutes to get setup. I used their guest WiFi with my laptop to work while waiting for the test, but got little work done because it was finished so quickly. Afterwords I had paperwork, just took a minute to pay and the proprietor said they would honor the same price on my next test. It was a great experience-- fast, friendly service. It's worth it to go a little out of your way for this shop.

The service was pretty good. The attendant took my paperwork and provided me with clear instructions and maintained his distance. When it came time to do the test, he guided me in as to where i needed to stop and provided me with some instructions. Overall i waited for about 7-10 mins.Overall service was excellent. I recommend the place

I told some guy, over the phone, my car s make, model and year, and was quoted $70 for a smog check. I showed up to be told it was $140. I ve never been charged more than ~$50 before at other places. I was offered a reduced price of $75, but couldn t use my $30 off coupon. I could ve saved $20+ just by driving down the street to Speedy Smog Test Only. That said, the process was relatively quick. I just don t appreciate feeling bait-and-switched. They re right next door to an El Pollo Loco, so I went and soothed my frustrations with a crunchy chicken tostada. No, but seriously, why don t more places offer horchata with their fountain drink selections? Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing

I was surprised by the excellent service I received. I had just had a sensor replaced in my car. Before doing the smog check I was advised on what I should do to ensure that it would pass. This involved quite a lot of driving. They were able to make sure I had done sufficient driving before the test and it passed. I would recommend them to anyone.

Both it s shop owner and the technician are very professional in both business practice and smog test skill. The technician was also able to smoothly resolve customer s conflict on who is next in line . The owner honored their coupon Price to me, surprisingly this was even few hours after I paid for the regular price already. I would strongly recommend this shop to anyone who needs smog test.

Be sure to go to their web site and get the coupon. It really did take only 15 minutes to do the test. I was there on a Saturday and with a test in process and one ahead of me I was done in less than 45 minutes.

Great hassle free place to get your smog tests done. Had a great $ deal through Groupon, went to the store and was done in 30 minutes. It was a busy day (MLK holiday) and lot of customers had lined up. Despite that, the whole thing was streamlined, quick and hassle free. Great customer service too. This place is star certified.

Love this place !I needed the smog check for my car, I called the day before and I got there at 8:30am, no line. In literally 10 min the job was done and the price was $45 as I was told at the phone (no bad surprises!).Eugene is a super nice guy, I will definitely come back to F1 Star Smog Check in two years.I highly recommend this place.

I came early on a weekday morning and was quickly helped! The employee at F1 Star Smog was attentive and the smog check did not take more than 15 minutes. He honored my coupon and gave me a detailed receipt of the passing tests and that the information would be sent directly to the DMV.As other reviewers have mentioned, make sure to look at the pricing board in the waiting area as it can get expensive depending on the year/model of your car.

Very tricky and likely a fraud. Saw their $19.95 test promo on Google ad then called to confirm. Provide them the model and year, the guy confirmed the price.We drove all the way there then the guy said " we don't have that(deal) anymore". Then started talking about normal price is $80 with $20 off.However, their Google ads remains on all the time.It's not just a waste of people's time but they are trying to trick people.***** WARMING: They do not honor their ad.and what they agreed over the phone.
