I brought my F80 M3 to SVB for crankhub service. While admittedly they are not the cheapest rate in CA, I valued their approach of smooth and steady to make sure everything was done properly. I requested extra maintenance service to be completed, and they were happy to accommodate without any additional time or labor cost. They also have an alignment rack in the shop and I got that done at the same time since the car was recently lowered.I towed my vehicle to them from Sacramento for convenience and they were happy to work with the tow company - both on delivery and return trip. Dennis went above and beyond, staying very late at the shop well after closing on a Friday to make sure the car was handed off properly to the tow company!Good work and great service can be hard to find, especially for BMWs in our area. I will happily make the effort to drive/tow my car to them for future service. They have earned my loyalty as a customer going forward.

I chose these guys due to a recommendation from ProTuningFreaks as the closest highly rated shop to me. I'm from Benicia so the drive was about 70 miles each way. I needed to get my DME unlocked so I could get the car tuned. I also had a metal charge pipe I wanted installed to replace the plastic chargepipe as the tune would increase the boost so I didn't want to risk the plastic cracking/breaking under hard driving.I drove out there with an appointment for 11AM and they did tell me ahead of time it would likely take 4-5 hours. Because I knew ahead of time, it was reasonable. I just needed the car back the same day. They were able to make this happen no problem.The DME unlock was successful and I was able to get the car tuned. So why the 3 stars? Well...My drive home was 70 miles and as I was driving home after their shop had closed, I was accelerating up that steep hill in Fremont passing the last Mission Blvd exit and I heard a woosh/hiss of air coming from the engine bay and my car went into limp mode and on iDrive listed a "Drivetrain malfunction" that I had never seen before. It said it was driveable and I could continue but recommend no hard driving. Luckily I made it home okay.I got home and took some time to look around the engine bay and didn't notice anything odd. I then did an air bubble test to check for leaks in the charge pipe and behold... their mechanic didn't slide the silicone hose coupling UP onto the upper part of the charge pipe. The top hose clamp was clamping onto...literally nothing but the hose.I reached out to ask if I could receive some sort of partial refund on the installation and it's been a few days and I never heard back. Safe to say I won't be going out there again or recommending this shop to anyone.

It's often stressful when your out of warranty BMW is in need of maintenance/repairs but the guys at SVB will make it a much more pleasant experience. They are honest, straight forward and knowledgeable. While getting my car serviced they noticed a suspension issue that has been plaguing my car for quite some time, an issue other shops have missed. They did not pressure me to get it fixed but I decided to do the repairs with them and now my car feels and drives so much better. They had courteously vacuumed the carpet when I went to pick it up, little things like that do not go unnoticed so I appreciate that. I highly recommend them and will be going back any time my bimmer needs something done.

Best shop in the Bay Area! Reliable and knowledgeable group of people who are licensed professionals and will always take care of your BMW.I am able to maintain my vehicle while also buy aftermarket | custom parts for the car and get it all done at the same time!They are quick with their work, but please be wary of their time as they get quite busy. Give them a call to setup an appointment.

Riccardo, Dennis, and the team are amazing! They worked with me over a couple weeks to dial the goals for my car. They had no issue with installing parts I provided and ordered/installed the remaining. I'm very OCD and they nailed all aspects of the install and tweaking of the coilovers. Pricing is very fair and top notch quality. Definitely my go-to shop moving forward!

Solid work. I ve gone to SVB a few times. In particular, I ve had them install lowering springs on my M4 and also sideskirts. They also did my rod bearings for my E46 M3. They do solid work and I ll eventually have them manual swap a car for me because I need the job done right. They re prices are reasonable too.

This place is great, awesome service and very knowledgeable about all aspects of BMW maintenance and performance at a great price. I don't know why I took my car to the dealership for so long.

Great experience! Auto mechanics are very good what they do and professional, especially Dennis his one of the owner of SVB, great guy he gives you advice and will inform you what works into your Bimmer.

Below average work and never 100%. Replaced my differential with a brand new one from bmw and a couple weeks later had to tow the car in because the bushing for the mount was faulty and dislodged itself apparently. Clever way to not admit to improper installation. Alignment was done by string method due to alignment machine being down and instead of rescheduling for a day the equipment was operating correctly i was expected to pay for subpar alignment. Had some rod bearings changed out here and came home to a low oil warning light which is the worst thing to experience after a big job like that. For a reputable shop in the bay i was surprised by my experience here. Prepare for them to try to secure work and money out of you by playing on your fears. Valve adjustment job was estimated super high here so i got a second opinion elsewhere and they were able to discount their original estimate to be competitive but why is a discount even necessary in the first place why not just charge me honestly? Had to fight tooth and nail to have them remove most of the negative camber in the rear using adjustable control arms I acquired from bimmerworld which was confirmed by bimmerworld to be a viable solution. A rattle sound i presumed to be coming from the exhaust on cold start was diagnosed to be a problem with the vanos. Got new exhaust hangers and tightened up the exhaust points and that solved the issue. I would not recommend this place. Gave them multiple chances but consistently let me down.

DON T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! Regrettably, I took my BMW to this place on 10/3/2022. They said that I needed to replace all six spark plugs and all the coils. They also recommended that I replace the valve cover. Since I didn t have the budget to complete all the work they recommended, I told them to only change the spark plugs and the one faulty coil. After I picked up my car in the afternoon, I drove it home and the car was smoking from under the hood. I called them and they said it s because I needed to replace the valve cover. I told them what a coincidence that I just picked up my car from their shop and it started smoking from the engine. This had never happened before. And after I drove it a bit more, the low coolant symbol came on, which had NEVER come on before. This caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience. I had to buy several bottles of coolant, but the leak was so bad that the low coolant symbol would come on after 10 minutes of driving. It was very stressful and risky to be driving to and from work with the coolant leak. Luckily, I had a friend fix my car. He found a broken hose line that was causing the leak. It s obvious that the coolant hose was purposely damaged. This had never happened to me before and if you don t want this to happen to you, don t go to this horrible, dishonest, shady shop.

This place is the best, customer service, professionalism, work performed on my vehicle, all the best I've come across for my e36 m3. No snooty Dinan is the best attitude here, and if you don't understand what's going on with your car, they will take the time to explain so there is no confusion or misunderstanding. My car only goes here for solutions, and I live about 100 miles away in the valley.

Great place to take your BMW for regular service or repair. They re also great for installation of aftermarket parts. I took my new F80 M3 to have it lowered/aligned and a few other cosmetic things installed. Techs there are very friendly and conscientious. They will detail anything they notice about your car and answer all your questions. Considering the area in which we live, they provide good value too! All their guys seem to have worked at BMW dealers before and are certified. Check out their credentials when you visit the shop. Silicon Valley Bimmer offers the best of all worlds!

I'm not one to trust shops to perform maintenance on my vehicle as I prefer doing most of it myself, but these guys are awesome. I was referred to them by my neighbor. I like that the staff was clear about the work they had to do. They gave me the impression that they are detailed oriented. If you're really into your car and need a place to trust for maintenance, I would definitely recommend Silicon Valley Bimmer!

I originally came to them for small stuff like alignments, maintenance checks, etc., and they were always great with that.Recently, I was in the market for replacing my suspension and asked them and other shops for quotes. Silicon Valley Bimmer had the most reasonable prices, and their knowledge of BMWs made it a no-brainer to choose them.They were able to knock everything out within 2 days and even called me about a small issue that arose because of my E46 having the ZHP package that required different parts. Even though they're known for working on BMWs, them knowing what a ZHP was, without me needing to tell them, relieved me. Other shops used to always confuse my E46 for regular ones, but these guys knew the difference.The replacement went perfectly and they even saved my old parts as I requested!Thank you guys and I'll be back next time![2005 E46 330i with the ZHP]Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment

Riccardo and Dennis always take care of my BMW's. If it's modifications to my m3 or maintenance on my x5, I know my German car is in good hands. They even took care of me when my car was leaking and got me in last minute. Fair prices, great work! Love these guys. I definitely recommend.

New owners - Riccardo and Dennis - took over the shop 4 months ago and are doing a great job of providing excellent repair work and strong customer service. Yes, the shop specializes on BMW but they also did a great job of getting my VW Golf R alignment back to factory spec.Five stars for performing the job right the first time, the easy time working with a knowledgeable staff, having a clean and tidy shop, reasonable prices, and a team that has the customer's interests in mind above all.

Excellent service. I had a brake-warning light go off one evening after work (I work nearby). Called in the morning; they took me in promptly. Lori, as another reviewer mentioned, is an outstanding "face" or "voice" of the shop. Ray is thorough and professional. Picked up on the fact that I was soon to make a long drive. Asked about my last oil change. Recommended another one, given the many months than had gone by. His price for brake repair was fair and he gave me a discount for the oil change.I'll be back. If you're in Santa Clara, and have a BMW or a Mini, you're going to want to get to know Ray.

Riccardo and the team were nothing short of amazing. They took the time to not only get to know me, but as well as my vehicle. Their staff has great knowledge on BMW's/Mini's, not to mention how excellent their service was. I could not be happier with my visit, most definitely will be my go to maintenance location whether its for mods or simply an oil change for all my vehicles. I've been to Ray's twice now for my BMW. First time when my window motor broke and today when my tail lights stopped working. Ray provided excellent service. However the most important thing to me is that I know that he is 100% honest. I can totally trust that he is fixing what needs to be fixed and charging me the right amount. I have been to many dealership service stations, and I know that they are overcharging me. You can have peace of mind that Ray is providing great and honest service. I am happy to recommend him.

These guys are great. You can be rest assured that, if you can afford it, your bimmer will be well-looked after here. You do get what you pay for, excellent service, genuine OEM parts for everything, with all the extra tiny details that everyone else seems to forget. The staff are very friendly, efficient, and patient, and once they are under the hood/chassis they are also very speedy, and I can depend on SVB to get the bimmer up to scratch within a specified timeframe when required. Thanks for great, local, service!

Ricardo and the team are excellent! First class operation, know their stuff. They have a clean shop, use OEM parts where it counts, and pricing is fair! Some of us are picky... like me! These guys deliver and it is much appreciated. If you have an M car and want to bring it to someone who understands, this is the place to bring it to for anything from service to upgrades. Cheers.

This is the best BMW repair shop ever!!! The guys are very professional and extremely courteous. I had my brakes repaired and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend SV Bimmer to anyone.
