This place has been in the same location for years. I personally never needed to use them until today.A couple of days ago I went to the Home Depot to have a couple keys made for my car, after the keys were made I tried them out and guess what? You got it, they didn t work. I decided to go to the Professional and have him do it. He looked at the keys and said instantly found the problem. He said those keys don t have a shoulder, your keys need a shoulder long story short he made me 3 new keys and everyone of them worked silky smooth in the tumblers. Next time I ll save myself the headache and just come here.

A while back I lost the only copy of my motorcycle key to my ignition and gas tank, older bike. I called so many places in the county and around the bay and no one was able to help me. Wth?! And then these guys at Schwenk were able to, saved the day, got my bike started finally back on my commuter. I forgot the name of the person who made the key, it was over a year ago, guy in his 30s I think idk lol? Anyways, 10 stars for the service!!

Great service Definitely come here, don't waste time,They're professional, super fast and great communication.I couldn't believe nowhere in Milpitas or San Jose could help me re-key my 1987 trunk lock.Schwenk did it though!And i was warned, there might be some damaging on edges but Thanks there was no damage works great!

I am so grateful for Yevgeny! He and his staff are the best, the most knowledgeable, and saved me hundreds from what the dealer wanted. Old world precision and workmanship, plus a great sense of humor. He even holds three patents to his name. I don't understand how anyone can give him low scores. I strongly recommend this genius for all your locksmith needs!

Schwenk helped me out by programming my 2010 Toyota Prius to work with the new virgin remote key fob I purchased from EBAY for $80. These guys are the best!

Fantastic guy working there, just $5 to cut two fancy house keys I got online. Be aware there's a $10 minimum charge for using a card as I didn't have enough cash on hand and the guy was extremely nice and was going to just give me the key cutting for free. I went back to my car for some dollar bills and quarters but it was extremely nice he was just going to let me go for free

When I turned the key to lock my office, the lock rotated and didn't lock. I called to ask for repairing it. The owner asked me to stop by his shop and showed me how to repair it. When I opened it up, there was a little difference. Then I called and he supported me. I am really appreciated for his kindness and support!

I stopped by here but they were closed. I noticed a guy inside so I knocked on the door to price our having a key made. The guy, who's name was Rick, not only opened the door but made a copy of the key for me with no charge. Super super kind of him. You don't meet people like this anymore. I'll definitely come back if ever needed. Thanks Rick! You're a standup guy!

Very good service, Stephen was very knowledgeable and knew how to fix an incorrect installation done by a contractor. The price was very reasonable. I finally found a locksmith I can trust.

I went here because I had just finished getting my keys locked out of my car. I needed to get some spare keys made. The service was spectacular and they were very quick and knew what they were doing. I asked for 2 spare keys to my car and before they made the second one, he handed me the first copy and allowed me to verify it would work before making them all. It was a wonderful gesture. Their prices also seemed the most fair and competitive than other shops that I called. Anytime I need a key made, this is the shop I am and will be using. =)

Excellent customer service, they get it.Had a problem with our front door latch, took it in to them as we'd heard they were good. They took a look at it, cleaned it up, verified it was a bit worn and that was the likely problem. Not really anything they can do to fix it, which is completely reasonable. They suggested contacting customer support for the latch as that company has generally been good with customer service, and didn't charge anything for their time.

Came in because I lost the keys to my Thule cargo top. Paulina and Steven were the best! Amazing customer service and knew exactly what they were doing =] Def recommend them for lock needs =]

This is our second time using this shop. The owner is great. Very fair prices. He is one of the best shops in the area for transponder keys.He has a dry sense of humor that my be off-putting to some. Get over it. You will save a fortune going here and the service is first rate. Little details like telling you the programming PIN for your car make a big difference.

These guys are great I love these guys. No one else would make a set of keys for because I didn't buy them from them but these guys didn't care. I Have the keys and they cut them for me.

Guy who work there was very kind and explained very well. I went there to copy of couple of keys that my son lost keys.One of keys could not copy. He explained I need to get allowed letter to copy key from HOA. It made solve the problem.

A little more expensive than other places, but where another locksmith was not able to program my Hyundai remote, they knew some tricks to get the job done. They also were honest that I could get a new remote cheaper online than they could sell it to me, so I felt good about going back to them for the programming.Worth the extra money to get the job done right.

They seem like a standard locksmith shop. Prices are steep for basic key reproduction. I was charged $10+ for a high security brass office key and $6+ for a standard grade brass office key.I asked for cost to make duplicates of house keys and was quoted I believe $3-4/key (which are $1.5-2.5 elsewhere). Needless to say, they aren t the cheapest option, but they do a good job.

My local locksmith suggested this place to get a car key cut and programmed. My aftermarket remote fob wasn't a straight forward job, but Steven figured it out. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. It's worth the drive to see him! P.S. He's a Warcraft fan!

The owner knows his business. Made me a new auto key in 10 minutes that actually works like the original. Half the price of going back to the dealer, who can't seem to get it right. You will not go wrong here.

Those keyme kiosks that can be found everywhere Safeway Lucky's etc wanted to charge me $30 to make a copy of a physical car key (non chip/key fob) just an old physical car key. Got it done here at schwenk for $10 bucks.

Great fast & professional service, reasonable price, actually the price was a lot less than the price I got from the key-copy machine located in the rite aid next to where I live. After I got my key copied, I tested it, worked perfectly, I left with a feeling like this is a steal

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I clearly asked if they work with commercial locks, and the first response I got was attitude; "All you're talking about is lock--what lock are you talking about?" Then when I repeated myself he simply said, "We don't have anyone until 4pm today, I'm sorry." I then asked how much they would charge, and he immediately hung up on me... I don't think that's the first impression you should give new customers... ***TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE***

I went to Schwenk to get a copy made of my car key that was going to cost me over $100 elsewhere. Bought a blank key online, brought it in and was out in less than 15 minutes and $40. Anyone complaining of customer service issues is expecting too much from a small locksmith shop. Don't expect a friendly smile but the man behind the counter knows his stuff and of you treat him with respect you will get it in return.

Needed remote FOB programmed. Done in 6 minutes. Dealer quote was a ridiculous $200.00. Schwenk Lock & Safe gets my business from now on.
