Vu was accommodative, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I came to his shop to do my car s annual routine maintenance, and am glad I did. His price is super reasonable compared to the Audi service centers, and explained his work and parts he used in a transparent manner. He got the job done in less than 3 hours like promised. Would come again!

Highly recommended Chet s to anyone that is looking for an honest and professional auto mechanic! I went to Honda of Stevens Creek and they told me I need to replace radiator hoses, drive belt, and spark plug and quoted me $2000 a couple of weeks ago, I declined and decided to get a 2nd opinion from a local mechanic shop. I spoke with Vu (the owner of Chet s) over the phone in the morning and explained what happened at the dealership, he suspected that either those parts have issues or the dealership was trying to scam me. He quoted me $900 for belts, radiator hoses, spark plug and labor. I brought the car to his shop in the afternoon, he inspected the car and said I don t need to replace any of those parts, he even researched it in front of me on his computer and showed me that the spark plug and belt are recommended to be replace after 100k mile mark for my car but my car is only at 50k. He also identified the oil leak and recommended me to have the oil gasket valve replaced for $180. He could ve easily told me to replace all of those parts and charged me $900 and I wouldn t even question him as I was only looking for a cheaper option to replace those parts, but he was so informative and honest about what my car actually needed. I m so grateful for his integrity, honesty, and professionalism. I ll definitely continue to bring my car in for any future maintenance/repair!

Definitely deserving of 5 stars! Our Honda CR-V broke down in front of Safeway one evening while grocery shopping. Despite checking power, gas, and engine oil, it refused to start. After towing it to Mr. Vu's shop, he advised considering a replacement due to potential high repair costs for a car with over 200K miles and from 2009.Despite Mr. Vu's initial suggestion, my wife's attachment to the car led him to conduct further research. After thorough investigation and testing, he proposed a repair plan. We agreed, and within days, he had the car running perfectly again. Mr. Vu embodies a "doctor's spirit" for cars, providing honest assessments and thorough diagnosis. His dedication to our vehicle left us impressed and grateful, and we appreciate his services.

We ve been going to Chet s for a couple of years now. Vu, the owner, is honest, good at diagnosis, and communicates well. He tells you what needs to be done and what not. His prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent experience! The communication was very good (I got an answer on Yelp on a Sunday, and got an appointment for the next day), and the team was very friendly and honest. I was impressed with the quick diagnosis and how my car was fixed within just 3 hours. I left my car parked for six months while living in Maui. Prior to moving, my engine light turned on but I had no time to fix it.When I returned, my car suddenly got worse - it had trouble starting, was very loud, and multiple warnings turned on in the dashboard.The guy who owns this place is the BEST. Dropped the car at 8 AM, then at 8:45 AM he called me and walked through each problem, also described the cost and quantity of every part that needed to be ordered, and also broke down the cost of labor. I approved and the parts came in that morning and I picked up my car by 2:30 PM.My warranty with Mini of Stevens Creek expired. They are the biggest rip off. Last time I dealt with them I had to get an oil change that was about $165. I also had a light bulb replaced for $105. I am NEVER ever going back to them again.I recommend this place to anyone who has a European or Japanese car.

Had lower control arms and transmission service along with a coolant flush and brake flush with power steering hose repair. Very happy with the service and bill - I saved a lot. I came in with a vehicle inspection sheet and several "system failures" with a high price tag from a national chain store. I asked Vu for safety suggestions and he, after confirming the report, offered the best approach for the day, given the time I had left before my next appointment. He had just completed one other customer's vehicle. Parts arrived on time, and the service was completed in time for my next appointment several doors down. My appointments with the two other shops had to be rearranged, and he helped to reschedule everything with the other shops. Everyone there has a great working relationship and help each other. What an awesome experience!

Super honest, friendly, helpful local mechanic: highly recommended!I was in the area visiting family and my car started making an odd noise when I set out for the road trip back. After other places refused to see me and a frustrating bait-and switch from the local dealership, I called this place and I'm so glad I did! He said to bring it right in and he could take a quick look at it to tell me if it was safe to drive. After a quick diagnosis, where he explained what potential issues he was able to rule out and why, he found the source- the previous shop that worked on my car didn't secure my undercarriage properly and the wind was picking it up and making it thud on the pavement. He bolted it back on and got me back on the road in no time. I can't thank him enough for helping him to get home safely!

I used them for the first time about a month ago because I was sure I needed new shocks. I also got an oil change while I was there and had asked them to check my brakes as well. I had called ahead to get a quote and they were the best price compared to the other places I'd checked with. I had to leave the car there for the day, but they did a really great job on my shocks. My car is running fantastic and I'm so thankful! I also appreciated that they were honest when checking my brakes and they didn't try to upsell me when it turns out I didn't need them.

Scheduled my appointment online which made it easy. When I got there, he was just finishing up another car. Within 5 minutes he was already looking at my car and explaining to me the possible reasons why my A/C was not working. Hooked my car up to his machine and discovered that it was low on Freon. Charged up my system with Freon, and now I have cold A/C for the hot summer days. Thanks Vu. I will definitely be back for other repairs.

I had very good service from Chets and highly recommend them. Vu, the mechanic, was very good at explaining what was wrong with the vehicle and how long it would take to fix it and how much it would cost. I am very happy with the work and will be going back for any other work that needs to be done.

My Audi car AC was blowing hot air. Anh was able to find the problem and fix it for very reasonal price. I was there while he was diagnosing..he found that it was not a leak and the compressor was not engaging. He ordered new sensor and I picked the car next day with working AC. Reasonable price for an oil change. They helped me to check the breaks and transmission for free. Also kindly referred me to their neighbor for tinted windows.
