I was referred to Caracoustics to upgrade the audio system in my 66 Mustang, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I met Howard, the owner, until the completion of the installation, I was met with exceptional service, a knowledgeable owner, and a personalized touch that made me feel like a valued customer.First and foremost, I was thoroughly impressed by the owner's expertise and passion for cars. It was evident that they had extensive knowledge about classic vehicles. They took the time to understand my requirements and preferences, and offered valuable insights and suggestions.The installation process was seamless and professional. They paid meticulous attention to detail. One of the standout features of my visit was the addition of a remote start feature. VERY COOL on a classic!Furthermore, the personalized and friendly approach of the owner and staff made the entire experience truly enjoyable.I cannot recommend this stereo shop enough. Their outstanding service, knowledgeable owner, and personable staff made my visit an absolute pleasure. If you're looking for a shop that combines expertise, attention to detail, and a personalized touch, Caracoustics is the place to go.

Howard at Caracoustics is exactly what s RIGHT with Customer Service nowadays! He s a real person that answers the phone and he s the most knowledgeable Car Stereo/Electronics Technician in the Bay Area!Definitely as good or even better than the service I ve received with Crutchfield, but unlike Crutchfield he doesn t require confirmation of a previous purchase before answering questions!Not only is he knowledgeable but he s also takes the time to answer your questions and explain things in great detail!Caracoustics will be the first call for me for all Car Stereo, Car Alarm, and modern Infotainment services!Thanks for all your help Howard!

I've had carcoustics install everything from car alarms in a VW to complete high end stereos with radar detectors in a vintage Mustang since the late 80's. Every time I get something done, it looks like it came that way. I don't know how they hide some of the stuff, but it just looks amazing and sounds great too. My mustang had some stuff installed in the doors and floors so you couldn't barely hear the stereo outside the car, but inside I could crank it. I love my music, but always hate when others have the stereos that you can hear from blocks away. So he came up with a great way for me to not be one of those guys. If you want high-end installation, this is where you go.

For transparency I havent had anything installed yet. However just getting a quote and having Howard look over my car and try and figure out what was causing my stereo issues. You can tell these guys CARE and know what they are doing. Thats rare now a days when working with shops. I recommend checking these guys out if you're looking to fix a problem with your car stereo or just want an upgrade and great quality work overall. 10/10 shop and I will be returning without a doubt no need to look around if you want the best come here.

I m totally satisfied with the work of Howard and his team. Howard is passionate and the work is highly professional. I chose them because many yelp reviewers were having Caracustics repair previous work done by other companies. Howard is also very responsive with post installation questions. Finally he finds out what you want and sells you exactly that. There is no hard sales. In fact, I overheard a conversation with a potential customer where Howard told the customer that his service would would not be in that customer s best interests.

The other day I finally got around to going to a car audio place because the stereo my truck had stopped working. Fuses were all ok, so it had to be something with the radio. I showed up 5 minutes before closing but Howard had no problem hearing me out and got started helping me. Turns out my radio was installed by a hack and he found the problem and then proceeded to spend the next 2 hours not only redoing the wiring so all my speakers worked but also fixed a busted door handle that was a gift from my son last time he borrowed the truck. For all that effort he only charged me $60. It was the best example of customer service I had experienced in quite a while. I can't recommend Caracoustics enough, I know I'll get my next car stereo there.

My overall experience at CarAcoustics of Campbell was nothing short of 5 star. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and never once tried to hard sell me on anything. They gave me choices based on their years of product knowledge and experience. They insist on customer happiness and helped me even after I left the shop. Howard, the owner, once said, "It will be perfect when you leave the shop, and if it is not, bring it back in and we will make it perfect".The equipment installed was high end although the prices charged were not high end.I would and do recommend CarAcoustics to anyone interested in upgrading their stock audio systems.You won't be disappointed!

Howard has been in the business for over 20 years. I used to take my car to Caracoustics (when it was on Old Camden) back in the 80's! The experience definately shows. I stopped by a few months ago for a headlight sensor (so my head unit could go into night mode). Even though it involved taking off my dash to get to the sensor, Howard was able to do it quickly (he knew the tricks to get the dash taken apart in 10 minutes), replace the sensor, get everything put back together. I wasn't charged much for this repair, which was greatly appreciated. He even found a few items that were making noise under the dash and was able deaden the sound! The attention to detail is hard to find these days and it's refreshing to know places like this still exist.

I took a 09 Tacoma in for a new system + sound deadening. Sound deadening is done by a full gut of the interior; door panels, seats, carpet, the works. As you can imagine if the installer doesn't know what they're doing they will wreck your vehicle.When done the interior looked 100% unchanged. All the panels, carpet, etc fit perfectly. Road noise was reduced immensely.For sound I went with the Focal speakers + amp fed by a Pioneer head unit I already had. This replaced the OEM HU + speakers. Night and day improvement.I'm very happy with the service, friendliness, and quality of work. I recommend Caracoustics without reservation.

I initially went to Caracoustics for installation of an ignition interlock device (IID) for my brand new Mercedes GL550 SUV. During its installation, I told Howard (the owner) that I was interested in learning about radar/laser detectors, as the Mercedes is very fast for such a large vehicle. Howard explained my options, focusing on 2 brands - K40 and Escort - that made radar detector and laser jamming systems for custom installation in high-end vehicles like my car. After exploring the options, we chose the Escort 9500ci radar detector/laser jamming system for custom installation, because Howard knew of an aftermarket kit that enabled interfacing of the radar detector with the Mercedes' computer so that the entire installation is completely hidden and the radar detector's output is displayed directly on the Mercedes' instrument cluster. The installation was impeccable, the customer service courteous and responsive, and I have been a loyal customer and enthusiastic fan of Caracoustics ever since.

You've reached your audio Valhalla, where Odin makes your dreams come true. Look no further, as this man is an audio god. I came in without an appointment, during the last open hour. The owner of the shop immediately stopped working on a gorgeous 1969 Camaro and started helping me. He heard my needs, and offered a perfect solution where I am happy with the end result as well as the final cost. I needed a pair of new speakers for my Miata, but he helped me as if I was the most important customer. I left an hour later with my music blasting and my faith restored that even during these tumultuous times there is a little oasis of of hope for humanity called Caracoustics.

Bad service - installed an in dash Nav system in my car when I came to pick it up the power windows didn't work; asked Howard to look into it and after he complained that it's not his problem he found a blown fuse and fix it. 2 weeks later I had to come by and see why the navigation doesn't get a signal ; they opened it up again and found hat the antena was not installed correctly. In this process they broke the horn controls as the person who tried to fix it was too heavy and leaned heavily on the steering wheels until the horn gave up.

Needed a V1 radar detector hardwired into my Camaro, and even though the install was way trickier than we originally thought, these guys were able to do it in just two hours on a Saturday without an appointment. Super high quality work and highly recommended!

Top quality components and installation.Much more than swapping out stock speakers, they do difficult installations and upgrades no other shops would do. No left over wires or screws rattling around inside your door panels.

I have been doing business with Howard and crew since 1995. Three locations, three decades, and ALWAYS the best equipment, best quality, impeccable friendly service and really bad jokes. Whst's not to like??
