I m so happy to have finally found an auto shop I can trust! John was so amazing and patient throughout my first experience with TAS. He was incredibly transparent with pricing and didn t try to push service that I didn t actually need (a refreshing take after my experience at the dealership). I will definitely be coming back here for years to come.

I had a wonderful experience at TAS. I just moved to the area and searched online for a great place to take my Toyota 4Runner too and TAS came up. Good reviews so I went deeper and I was able to schedule my appt online within minutes and got a confirmation text and email, as well as a confirmation email and text the day before as a reminder. I do love the automation and communication because life gets busy and I forget stuff. Showed up right on time and found it very easy to find their shop and park. Went in and worked with John. He kept it straight with me and offered me multiple discounts to offset my cost and I felt the prices were fair and reasonable. They did the work great and within a reasonable amount of time. Their waiting room was very comfortable and I was able to get a lot of work done. The facility in general was very clean which I did appreciate. I like it here and will be back.

I researched thru Google for a independent auto repair shop to service what I thought was a issue with my 2012 Subaru Outback transmission. I found TAS, The Auto Service with recent 5 star reviews. In business for 40+ years, a authorized AAA repair shop which tells me I would get high quality honest repair for the money I would be spending. I called to set an appointment, I spoke to the service mgr, John, who was very pleasant. I was informed of the progress of the work being done by Glenn on my car as I waited. No problems with my transmission, it was my rear brakes. Very surprised by the customer lounge with Wi-Fi access, bring your tablet/laptop.Most definitely felt treated like family.Yes, John did say to me, we like to treat you like family.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Brake service & repair

Took our van to get breaks done. John is an extremely knowledgeable and genuine person who will do what he can to help. We take all our cars to TAS. Honesty is hard to find these days but John is honest and has some integrity in the job.6 out of 5

Everything was easy and trustworthy. They read the diagnostic for my check engine light and did oil change. Everyone was great, felt like family. Great to see Steve again! Excellent Service and follow-through. For any service like auto repair which is always a cost to us as the customer, the best proactive action a service manager/owner can take is making follow-up calls to inform us of the news, during the repair time frame. I am not chasing my service rep, Mr. Steve Lowe in my case & Big John for details...How is it going? concerned question. It is not always good news (we expect those facts) but it is delivered in a manner that says, Hey, I will be back on the road, and that is all my concern, and I am good to go for some time.Services: Auto battery replacement, Electrical, Engine repair, Battery, Oil change

My wife is too nice to leave a negative review, but when we have an appointment at a set time, we expect to not be forgotten. We drove two cars for 45 minutes in rush hour traffic to get there, waited 2.5 hours only to return at the shop and have them apologize for forgetting about our vehicle and it would be next. Wasted mine and my wife s valuable morning off from work, gas money to get there, and added stress to our lives as well since we still have to get our vehicle maintenance somewhere else now. Inexcusable and unprofessional! Figure out a better system, so this doesn t happen again! Have some respect for your customers time! Other than that wife said front desk guy was nice and apologetic. Have no idea if the work they do is any good, but if they can t figure out the basics, or realize their mistake for almost 3 hours, I am not confident in the rest of their teams abilities.Update: Owner reached out to make things right. Offered a complimentary oil change service, but we declined. Changed from 2 to 3 stars.

John was not very polite on Friday when I brought my car in that was almost stolen the night before and had damaged front door locks and a barely working ignition slot(have to jam the key and pull hard to get it out. (KIA Boys got me)Unfortunately I havespent easily 10K on my girlfriends car and my own vehicles here in the past 5 years or so. They were always polite and great to deal with. When I called on Friday morning the owner Steve was very accomadating and sympathetic with my car being damaged by thieves. This was the place I trusted and felt comfortable with.John basically told me the owner does not know anything and to disregard what he said about being able to help shortly after I arrived. I told Steve when I was bringing the car by, but I guess John was not notified about my issue. Ultimately John just said I should have gotten better insurance and that it would be pricey ($1500) to change two locks and have the third party locksmith program them.As a service tech in a different industry I understand some repairs are not fun or great because they are costly and require more effort/time to complete. This is understandable and not what bothered me. I do not care about the cost or time in this case. The biggest issue was his initial attitude about not believing me that the locks are damaged or how I knew my car was almost stolen/locks damaged was also rude. (Possesions stolen from car) I was in at about 3:30pm near closing so I am sure that it was an annoyance. Ultimately, I know John is very knowledgeable and a good guy, but sometimes listening to your customers and being sympathetic/not being the skeptical tech about what the customer says is important.I will not be coming back here as bad mouthing the owner is not a good thing to witness. Also being open minded and not so skeptical of customers problems/listening is important. I know most customers are not knowledgable, but being patient and reserving judgment would go a long way. I was surprised because John seemed so cool every other time I went here.Sorry for the novel. Do not buy a KIA and as John said get better insurance.

Stay away from this place. They are the most unreliable mechanics who has no ethics whatsoever.Originally I gave them an excellent review since they fixed my car s air conditioner and assured me there is no leak on my car s air conditioner. They charged me $427. John even put my previous mechanic down who diagnosed Leak on my car s air conditioner.After 10 days my car s air conditioner stopped working. I took my car back and John said oops, my car has a leak and I have to pay $6000 to fix it.Before they take my car in, I asked John what would be your maximum charge for this problem? He said maximum $2500 !!!!! I am replying to your response,I think the purpose of online review is to let the other people know what kind of customer service you have and what is the quality of your service.On both appointments you were not present. I did talk to John on both appointments. You mentioned he cannot diagnosed properly without doing service on your car but, I am telling you, he did say maximum cost cannot be more than $2500 before car service.So do not assume what he promised? He and I know what we talked and what he laid.Yes, I disputed your charge with my credit card company. You are happy, I lost but we both know, you lied to credit card company. You told them first appointment there was no leak and after 10 days i got a leak on my cars air conditioning system coincidently. Credit card company believed you but I don t. Before I talk to John, I had seen another mechanic and they already diagnosed a leak but I wanted a second opinion when I came to your mechanic shop. I told all these informants to John. When he told me first appointment there is no leak he put my first mechanic down and said they do not know what they are talking about .First appointment, He quoted his service $400 in the morning but when I was paying at the end of day he asked $500!!???? I reminded him what he quoted earlier and he just said . No problem.You are trying to cover up your mangers dishonesty but you do not understand customers do care about others review.Good luck to you Mr. Dishonest

This Garage is the most dedicated honest and reliable Garage in Santa Ana. I got the privilege to work with Steve the owner, he immediately put my mind at ease and assured me everything was going to be all right with my Nissan Titan that would not start. He looked all the parts up got the best deal and saved me a bunch of money. He explained everything to me and made me feel like my truck was in good hands. His team he has in the shop are excellent and professional and dedicated and committed to excellence. I will always take my Truck or car to them and highly recommend this place to anyone that needs there wheels fixed

Great friendly staff. After delivering the bad news that I must change all 4 tires, the manager of the shop took the time to explain to me why he is recommending to change the tires. In fact my tires were at the bare minimum-He was honest and sincere. On top of it all he gave me a fair discount! That manager and his staff delivered exceptional service!This place was recommended by AAA - good choice thank you AAA.Service: Tires

Took two cars there for service.First car, Acura MDX, needed brake pads, oil change and (I thought) a new moon roof. Everything was done overnight, all turned out just right. Instead of replacing the moon roof, TAS was able to straighten some components and now it works like new!Second car, VW Toureg, needed tires, brake pads and brake rotors. Again, everything done overnight, and the car is a pleasure to drive again!

These guys have been servicing my 06 Volvo XC70 ever since I bought it used 4 years ago. I've never had any worries or complaints about their work. Steve and John do a great job letting you know what things on your car can wait and what should be done sooner than later. I've never been pressured or talked into some kind of service or repair that I didn't think I need.Every time I bring in my car for an oil change they check it all around for other usual wear-and-tear and they let me know how everything looks. They'll answer any questions you have and they do a great job explaining what things do what on your car.I bring my car here for everything: service, tires, engine light, everything. The team here is nothing but exceptional professionalism and they're family owned. I was considering buying a used truck and I wanted to get it inspected to make sure I was getting a good vehicle. I don t know much about cars so I needed to take it to a professional and the staff at The Auto Service are top tier. The manager, John, took me step-by-step through the process of inspecting the truck. He and the other mechanic who looked at the truck were extremely thorough. They discovered numerous things of which the seller had neglected to inform me. The inspection wasn t cheap but it was worth every penny. I received excellent customer service, a priceless education, and was spared from spending far too much money on a truck that had several mechanical issues and maintenance failures that needed attention. I would highly recommend The Auto Service!

Best customer service that I ve had from an auto shop ever. Pricing was competitive, scheduling was a breeze. John in the service department was helpful, Alex, the courtesy driver was great. Phenomenal customer service and staff. I took my truck to multiple dealerships the week prior to visiting The Auto Service and I felt as though the dealerships were upselling me and trying to get me to pay for maintenances my vehicle didn t need. After one visit with The Auto Service I will absolutely be a returning customer. I found The Auto Service through the AAA website. I noticed they had high reviews so I thought I'd give them a try I have to say from the moment I walked in I felt to welcome and comfortable. John was very helpful and offered great customer service. They also relieved the stress of having to find a ride back to the mechanic to pick up my car. I was offered to get picked up from my house and to the shop by John. That was very kind of them. Their driver was awesome and so was Rafael. Thanks guys, I'll be back

John was amazing explaining in details what s wrong with my car and what s need to be fix. I ve been going to Audi dealership for service for so many years and I wanted to try somewhere different and I m glad I called this place. They saved me money and they even found a nail in one of my tires and plugged it for me with no extra charge which Audi would never do beside changing out the whole new tire. The garage is nice and clean and they even picked you up and dropped you off. No Uber needed. I m a happy happy customer and my car running like brand new!
