Pretty clean room if I must say. The shower was a total game changer and the distance to the beach was perfect. Stayed a total of 3 nights and enjoyed the stay. With all the new regulations put on our hotel and motels I was surprised to find that they still had coffee in the lobby. Really great to have. I've stayed at this hotel a lot and every time it's been an exciting timeRooms: Clean , simpleNearby activities: Hearst castle and the pier, hiking and exploring.

What the hell happened to room service in America? 4 nights no cleaning! Honestly don t tell me you re understaffed! Every other day should be the maximum wait for cleaning wait. We had to ASK to get our trash taken out.Rooms: Clean upon arrival, dirty later as there is no housekeepingNearby activities: Beaches and hiking for the most part

The room was very clean, and the ocean view was beautiful! I asked for extra blankets, pillows, and towels late at night and the staff was great and very accommodating, they delivered them to my door within minutes! The front desk was very friendly and made the check in and out process very easy. I will definitely be staying here again and will recommend to family and friends!

We stayed there for 1 night, room is OK, kind of old but clean. Location is fine, not right on the beach but in walking distance. Hotel looks a little old, and there is a small outdoor swimming pool. Nothing really special, just a normal Motel 6 standard. Stuff is fine, service(if there is any) is acceptable. Overall it's safe and quiet.

Everything needs improvement. It's a shame the hotel looks better online. Received a really dirty room upon checking in and honestly I think all others would've been in the same condition, had we asked for a different room. Wasn't allowed a refund because it was a last minute booking or else we wouldn't have even stayed there. The shower water went really cold or really hot on it's own for some strange reason. Glad I brought my own towels. You guys need new towels ASAP. Floors were sticky. Outside of the hotel also needs a lot of work including the landscaping. The only pro is the location, it being near the beach and Hearst Castle and that's it. Other nearby hotels are kept more tidy and even offer a great breakfast included in the booking for about the same price. Definitely won't be staying here again.

Staff is very welcoming and nice.A good place if you need a place to stay over night. Room is clean but most furniture worn down. Walls are paper thin so you can hear anything from the room next door. (We had a family of 4 next door)Beds are very hard.

Decently priced, rooms are spacious, simple and cleane. Blackout curtains could be better and the toilets and showers could use maintenance.

The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful checking us in. We went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. The food was excellent, but it took over an hour to order and get our food, even though we were the first people to sit down. It was not busy at all. The rooms were okay. You could tell that they had renovated some recently, but still not up to the standards of more than 3 stars. The sheets were off-white and had a couple stains on them. I found 2 dead flies on the floor (better than alive, I guess). The heater made noise throughout the night, but did put out good heat. The room was just not as clean as a hotel room should be. The shower water was plenty hot, but still dirty like the room.

On the way to San Francisco, we chose to stop in San Simeon at the Motel 6.Once there, no breakfast was included, the announced swimming pool is not covered whereas located at the edge of the ocean and it was windy. The room is rather large, the beds comfortable, but badly insulated and especially no mini fridge, no water offered, the towels in the bathroom were small, no soap offered in the shower and the floor of the room was sticky.Things that could be considered acceptable for a Motel 6. But we paid $275, for ONE room, for 4 people. Admittedly, we booked a bit last minute, moreover during a big weekend, but we feel that such a price is not appropriate for an establishment of this type.Fortunately, the staff is very pleasant and the proximity of the ocean offers a beautiful view.

What can I say, for the price, totally worth it. Close proximity to super nice dog friendly beaches, Hearst castle, town of Cambria. Really loved the quiet location. Not the cleanest rooms. Floors were dirty and sticky when we arrived. I would have swept and mopped myself if I had the supplies. But what can you say. For the price and location it's acceptable.

Pros:1.) This Motel 6 is located in a good spot between San Simeon and Cambria.2.) Lots of beaches and parks to go to from here.3.) The staff was nice and there was plenty of parking.4.) The price is also great too compared to the other options in the area.Cons:1.) The first night I was there the power went out. Although the hallways by the rooms had emergency lights, the main corridors and stairs did not. That is a major safety issue, it was pitch black in those areas. Motel 6 needs to fix this, there is no reason they cannot replace a couple light fixtures with ones that have a battery backup. I'm just glad I had a flashlight.2.) There are lots of stairs everywhere since the motel is built on a hill. I think the first building has parking relatively flat and easy access to the room. Also, not sure if the other hotels in the area also have a bunch of stairs.3.) Shower drain was running slow.4.) I wish all rooms had a mini fridge. All other brands of motels I stay at have them.

The floors were sticky. We bought a Swiffer to clean them. They came back DARK. I have no confidence that the floors were cleaned in the last 6 months at the very least. The bathroom counter was also filthy. I was only able to sleep in peace after spending my own money on cleaning supplies! There was no room maintenance during my 3 night stay. We did not get new towels at all, nor was our trash taken out. No shower products provided. The air conditioner rattled and did not make the room cold. We opened the windows to let the cool air in, because the unit did not work. I have no idea when this room was last cleaned. You have to request a microwave/fridge and they are all on the 2nd floor. Front desk staff nice, lots of parking.

Clean room. Clean pool 3ft- 8ft deep:). Good coffee until 11am in lobby. Down the street from restaurants, liquor, and markets ( bar and grill with karaoke and margaritas.) Beach across the street.

We didn't had any intention of staying and extending our vacation however lucky us we got this cosy motel without any reservations. But i would definitely suggest booking it in advance.Though it was Thanksgiving vacation, we could get a decent room for stay worth the money. The rooms were clean, cosy and decent. I will definitely recommend it.

Highly overpriced, room had thin sheet and an extremely thin blanket on beds. This is a very cold area at night. Was there for a 2 night stay. maid did not bring fresh towels or clean room next day. Brought in a roll of toilet paper and left our door ajar with our belongings in the room. Thank goodness they were still there no thanks to their staff. They offer up coffee or tea, which is a joke considering how much you pay for the room.

Only what you need and nothing more. Great option No shampoo. A very basic amenity that every hotel has is non existentIt's a great mid point stop with comfortable beds and clean room. Nothing out of the ordinary. Exactly what you come to expect when staying at a 6 motel.

First nice things, because it's good to start with something nice: Location to Hearst Castle and beach, is great. Price wise, most budget motel in town. Staff, polite.Main issue: Not sure if others in room 235 had the same issue but we got covered in bug bites. I think they might be spider bites. We thought it might just be one bed so we switched to the other bed and same thing. No one likes to pay to get covered in bites. Yikes.Minor issue: You have to request for housekeeping if you don't stay more than 3 nights. Let's be real, it's just about cutting costs.

Regular queen doesn't have microwave and fridge. Deluxe queen has microwave and fridge. Friendly attentive staff. Great location. Plenty of parking.Rooms: Our deluxe queen room was very good size, double the size of usual motel 6 queen rooms I've stayed in elsewhere.Nearby activities: Perfect location to Cambria, cayucous, Hearst castle, elephant seal watch.

Helpfull stuff, clean large rooms, big parking, no fridge in rooms, cofee at the front desk. Pool in super also.
