The large, HEARST CASTLE PARKING LOT provides easy, no-charge parking for the Castle's Visitor Center.There are both Tesla and generic, level 2, electric charging stations. The service is free. You do not have to visit the Castle to use the service. Next to the charging stations stand several porta potties; a few are wheelchair accessible. Sinks, equipped with soap dispensers and paper towels, are supplied.The lot has many covered parking spaces, which protect your vehicle from the brilliant California sun and tree sap.Handicapped spaces are located near the Castle's Visitor Reception Entrance. Inside, there are gift shops, restaurants, and indoor bathrooms. There is no change to enter.From the Reception Area, purchasing an admission buys an entertaining bus ride that takes you up a steep, narrow, winding, private road, to the entrance of William Randolph Hearst's spectacular, 115 room castle.Call for special access for wheelchair visitors.

A very nice parking lot. We were there in June, 2023. There is no charge to park. There are aerial solar panels over head that you can park under to shade your vehicle. I would avoid the trees. They probably will drop things like sap on your vehicle. I feel the solar panels are a much better option.The lot is close to the visitors center (with restrooms just inside the door on the left). So you don't have to walk far. That's good since you will walk a good amount if your on a tour of the castle.

Very easy to get there, right off the 1 hwy. Plenty of parking and the most important ( for me ) they have a lot of portable toilets and they are clean.

Do not park under trees as its sap is impossible to get off your car. Otherwise, there's plenty of parking.

This is an amazing parking lot where the parking spaces are nicely striped! Some of the parking spaces are in the shade.

Super great place to see, it s ridiculous how much money he spent on this place while they test of the country was in the Great Depression, but it s worth seeing
