What a great experience! I found Righetti online, after having an issue pop up on the weekend. They were the only shop open on a Saturday and Steve answered after the first ring. He agreed to see me in the afternoon after finishing with another customer and sure enough, he was ready to help when I arrived. Steve is professional, knowledgeable and friendly, characteristics that are rare in automotive industry. He walked me through what was wrong, explained the solution and fixed the problem on the spot! I'm thrilled to have found Righetti Automotive and will be back for all car service needs from now on. Thx Steve!

Love these two old guys.Taking on any challenge especially with old trucks and vans.Going there every time.They are honest folks.Wished they would take some younger folks under their wing and teach them before they are not around.

I highly recommend Righetti's. I've worked with a dozen mechanics and Steve Righetti is the most impressive. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty air-fuel sensor quickly. He was also very upfront about the costs, and when parts were cheaper than expected, he was upfront about that too, and he charged me less. Super honest guy. He taught me a bit about car exhaust systems and walked me through the problem and the fix. He's incredibly knowledgeable. Steve also referred me to a great locksmith who cut me a spare key for 1/4 the price of the dealership. I called Steve on a Saturday afternoon (one of the only places open) and he said to come in right away. He diagnosed and fixed my issue on the spot. Definitely will be going back!

I used Steve Righetti for dozens of years and at one time of my life I was an after market parts distributor so I do know something about the auto repair business. Steve is the most honest and knowledgeable person in Marin County auto repair business. He is a regular go to person for other repair shops when they are stumped by a problem. They won't keep your car all day from 8AM to 5pm if they can get you going in far less time but then they do get busy because of their reputation. In my 60 years of car ownership I have never found anyone of such impeccable honestly, knowledge and skills in the repair business. They will use lower cost parts if they will do the job properly but only if they know they will work without problems, otherwise they will use the original brand of parts. They do charge the going rate for proper service but you will save money in the long run. I used them exclusively for many years of automobile ownership. I'm sometimes surprised that there isn't a line out the door. If you're a scammer or an unreasonable person don't waste their time.

Steve and his staff were extremely friendly and welcoming; I felt very comfortable there. But what really stood out to me was how honest Steve was with me. I know nothing about cars, and it's obvious, but Steve didn't take advantage of that like a lot of auto shops have tried to in the past. He also gave me an extremely good price on my battery/installation. Let's just say I'm coming back here for any of my car needs, despite the 40 minute drive from where I live!

When a local noticed my car smoking when I pulled into a San Rafael gas station, he recommended I reach out to Steve Righetti. He called him up, put me on the phone with him, and Steve was helping me out within fifteen minutes. Not only was Steve (and his colleague Roger) extremely efficient when troubleshooting my car s problem, but he was extremely kind. He recognized that I was having a rough day while traveling for family matters and kept me smiling while he worked. He was more than fair and did his best to pinpoint the issue at minimal cost, going so far as to drive down to pick up a part so that I could make my way back by the end of Saturday (instead of being stuck until Monday business resumed. He even called Monday morning to ensure I made it back to the South Bay safely--which I did. Take your business to Steve if you re looking for someone you can trust to do the job and treat you well. I m extremely grateful I was pointed in his direction.

Steve, Roger and Bill are the best mechanics in Marin! Super car smart, thorough and honest. Steve is the pathologist of car engines - roots out the disease and gives you expert advice. My 12 year old Jeep loves our visits to Righetti Auto!

Steve Righetti has been here 40 years and taken care of my company's fleet of trucks and family vehicles. The experience they have results in time and money saved over the dealership's inexperienced technicians.Service writers at the dealership are aggressive about sales and paid bonuses for making the dealership money over a specified amount and encourages them to perform unnecessary replacement of parts and services at your expense.I am more than capable of repairing my own vehicles but not having the time to do so... I trust this repair facility.

I have been bringing my family cars and pickup truck to Righetti Auto since 1997. These guys are not only experts on maintenance and major repairs, but, more importantly, they are honest and sincere about minimizing costs without sacrificing quality and safety -- over the short and long term of your vehicle's life.No matter what you drive, and how you drive it, do yourself a favor and give the guys at Righetti a call or just stop by... they are super friendly and you and your car will be glad you did.

I call Righetti Automotive like a visit to the hospital. Steve Righetti has the knowledge in his head which is why I call him the doctor. He is quick efficient and tells it like it is. His mechanics are top notch and they deal with all types of vehicles. Unless it was a warranty issue where you had to deal with the dealer I would not hesitate to recommend them.7/23/18The Doctor saved my engine in my F150. A/C was taking time to cool. After diagnosis he determined my fan clutch was not working snd could have burned up my motor.Righetti is the best!

Great guys overall and honest mechanics (makes you respect their profession).Steve and Bill gave me a thorough evaluation of my 2000 Honda Odyssey Van. Fully inspected the car, fixed the problem and changed my oil for around $100. They definitely earned my business.

The auto shop you wish you found earlier. Old-school, hands-on, honest, and super sleuths when it comes to car troubles. Twice now Steve has pulled a Dr. House on my '99 4Runner, finding and fixing some pretty tough troubles with "engineuity", clearly and patiently communicating the situation and my options all the way. Friendly, honest, and damn good mechanics who love their jobs. What more could you ever want?

I cannot properly describe how happy I am with the service i received from these fine gentlemen!! So I will sum things up!! My 10 yr old vehicle has not run this good since i bought it 7 yrs ago!! Not only did they do a superb job but the were honest too!! They did not rip me off and insisted that I inspect any and all parts that were replaced. ( as per the law) If you do not want just any Joe Shmo touching your baby and you want outstanding work and fair prices, I would highly recommend these guys! They work on anything from Ferraris to little import beaters.

We have two classic MR2s and Steve is the ONLY place we'll take them. A Lexus SUV as well. He has done amazing work, technical stuff, stuff with our classics that is sometimes a PitA but he's always ALWAYS willing to go the extra mile with us to do it and do it right. We come all the way down from Novato just to go to Steve and would even if we lived 50 miles away (or more!)... He's just that good.

Always great service! Beats the dealership prices hands down. Dependable service for two generations. He was my dad's top pick mechanic and now Steve is mines as well. I'll be back when service calls.

Trustworthy, personal, and dang good. Will explain things to you, will find the best deal on parts. They remind me of the Car Talk bros somehow! I'd been searching forward, finally found "my mechanic" for my cute little Toyota Prius. <3

I take all of my cars here and the convenience and professionalism of these guys is great.Ford truck, Saab, Volvo and even my Maserati!Not to mention the past vehicles serviced over the yearsI highly recommend them!

Nice enough guys but just remarkably slow. My oil change took 3 hours longer than quoted. Ran unnecessary tests without asking me and then tried to get me to pay for it. Further charged me over the quote

If u own a Chevy or Honda don't bother...this place catchers to Tesla's,Mercedes,Maserati....u get the picture...but u know what...they are not cheap but if u invest that much money on a car n u get in an accident then this place is for you...u get what u pay for n ur car will look better than before...this place is always busy so don't cop attitude there cause frankly my dear they don't give a Damm...their reputation speaks for itself...n u get to see expensive cars of all kinds...like I always say. ...THOSE WHO SAY MONEY DOESNT BUY HAPPINESS JUST DONT KNOW WHERE TO SHOP....BUT IF U COME HERE YOU DO....IT IS WHAT IT IS....THEY ARE NOT OVERPRICED ....UR JUST UNDERPAID....
