I was interested in a particular cargo box and via their online inquiry widget, I got a quick text back saying it was in stock. Drove over the next day, and purchased it and they put it up on my roof and away I went. Happy with the product and their service.

The team at Rack N Road in San Rafael is great! They installed a hitch and rack for me, which have worked very well. They are knowledgable, kind, and effective. When I had questions, I appreciated the option to send them text messages. When busy with other customers, they responded via text quickly and addressed all of my issues. I highly recommend this business.

I walked in and Jace searched the correct hitch for my car and patiently walked me through the different bike racks available at the store without sales tactics and pressure pitching. After I was notified that the hitch arrived, in a couple of days, Jace was able to find an appointment slot the following day to install the hitch and bike rack the following day. When I checked in my car, Tim greeted me and I was out of there in five minutes. Their installers were so efficient, it only took several hours for the job to be completed. When I picked up the car, Tim explained and is quite knowledgeable on what I needed to know about the rack, i.e. how to secure the bike, how to access my trunk and how to lock the hitch and the bike. Overall, I am satisfied with the installation and will recommend their business to my friends.

Very knowledgeable staff. Part prices and labor were good. They had to order a part and I didn't have to wait long. The hitch made the Sonata lower to the ground and some times on steep driveway we rub. So make sure you measure your car before purchasing.

I have been coming to Rack and Road for many, many years. Every time I ve gotten a new car they helped me adapt my old carriers to the new car. They always give me what I need, and don t oversell. And they are really nice people! I m grateful for their service.

Ten Stars because these professionals sell products just to make your life light, bright true north orientators - creators: they walk with you a bit listen to you also and then break it all down: the details ,accessories - make it all make sense bring the future all in to work with your lifestyle and fits your make and model. They sure did make my rough style smoother than it was while on a budget with a discount. Since 1996- I m sorted it makes sense. Pay for your investments and enjoy them. If you re not familiar with the area, it can get a bit confusing finding their entrance when you re driving in heavy traffic. (I ended up feeling like an idiot because I drove into the wrong entrance of a different merchant but they were nice and said it happens pretty often). Once you get your vehicle safely inside, it s all great. The customer service is fantastic and professional and when they re done, they help in every way to make sure you leave a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this place.

I bought a hitch online and my son and I installed it. We were successful but to my horror one of the bolts touched the muffler. It would rattle and I was unable to resolve. I went by and described my problem. They were thoughtful and courteous and said the could help and that they are sure they could fix without much cost. I was skeptical but made an appointment and brought the car in. I couldn't be more pleased. They were able to fix it in less than an hour and charged me $75.00 which I feel is a reasonable price. I would recommend. I also noticed that the prices for their racks were on par with REI.

Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, knowledgeable and most importantly competent.They kept me advised of when the parts would come,when the work would be done and all worked seamlessly. These guys are great! I searched through my car dealer, and at least 6 sources with no solution for my hitch and bike rack situation. I was ready to purchase a new expensive rack before they accessed the situation and easily found a 2 minute fix. I will be a lifetime customer and can not say enough about this kind of customer service!

Eric (lead tech) installed a DrawTite receiver hitch on my Ioniq 5. After I picked up the car I noticed a rubbing noise coming from the rear in certain conditions. I took it back in and he road tested the car with me and heard the noise. Immediately he corrected the problem and now it is a perfect install. Everyone was very friendly and responsive, even though it is a busy shop. Kudos!

Had a trailer hitch installed on my Bronco Sport. Easy purchase. Easy to schedule the work (via text message/website).Install took 30 minutes longer than expected, but no big deal. Very easy. Would do business with again.

Had a great no drama hitch install plus bike rack installation that took 2 hours as expected while I waited. Had searched for awhile to find a shop for our Subaru Forester that had good installation reviews on hidden hitches and as a bonus, Rack N Road could also setup the Hollywood e-bike rack I wanted. Everything looks solid and bomber on the install so I definitely recommend them.

Incredibly helpful and patient! I was going back and forth between two possible hitch mounted cargo boxes for my RAV4 and the staff member was so kind and measured everything to make sure the hatch would have enough clearance, the exhaust wouldn't hit the box, see if the rear camera would still work, let me put my folded kayak in both to try them out, looked up images on their computer so I could see how each cargo box would look on my vehicle, installed it same day with no wait , and even gave me an extra key. Five stars for sure!

Very friendly and helpful! Had a question about a bike rack I had bought elsewhere and whether I needed to get a repair on it.They were honest and super helpful. Ended up not needing any work, but will definitely go back to them if I ever do or if I buy anything rack or rooftop tent related.

Bought a 4 bike rack, top storage bubble and cross bars. Great overall experience. They swapped our side bars on our new SUV without an appointment and no hassle since we purchased everything from them before. Now, that s service.
