After a long search for a place that would install a snorkel onto our Jeep , we contacted our friends at Rack and road in San Rafael ,Chris told us to check with Rob at Mt Tam Motors. Rob was super nice gave us a quote and we dropped it off the next day in the morning . Got the job done right and even install our door hinge steps. Very happy and we will return for future upgrades to our JKUR . Thank you Rob!

Paul and Rob are the best mechanics in town. They're extremely knowledgeable and honest, and turn things around at lightning speed. They've always put things straight with me, taken the time to explain my options, and found solutions within my budget. Highly recommend! Very kind, honest, fair prices, accommodating, thorough, and efficient! I'm not always very procative with auto maintenance. They always do a great job and have saved the day numerous times! Usually quicker than estimated too! Paul and Rob are miracle workers. I had a very tricky to diagnose electrical issue with my old diesel bmw. They were able to quickly pinpoint the issue and get to the heart of the problem to keep me on the road. They treat you like family and have great communication every step of the way.

Rob really went above and beyond. He was willing to accommodate my time constraints and got the work done faster than any other mechanic I've been to. He was willing to at least try to explain what the problem was (most mechanics just tell you what part needs replacing, not why it needs it). Mt Tam motors is awesome!1-- expert diagnostic mechanicsMy friend, who works at Carquest, recommended Mt Tam motors for smart diagnostics. Also, the guys at H&J tire recommended recommended them to my elderly mother.
