I cannot speak highly enough of Mazda Marin. After working through so many bad car dealerships trying to find an affordable and reliable hybrid, Chris and his team were the exception to the rule - honest, forthcoming, informative and so helpful.I received a world class education on hybrid vehicles and the pros/cons vs regular internal combustion engines, and was also never pressured. I visited Maria at Mazda Marin a total of 3 times to go over the paperwork, get questions answered and walk through any concerns, and each time she was patient and appreciative of my concerns.Also Maria and the team priced the car at the most competitive rate of anyone in the East Bay. Five out of five stars, the only honest car dealer I've met!!!

I bought my Mazda 3 from Marin Mazda-Subaru in 2016. A few years after my purchase, the Mazda part of the dealership broke away from the Subaru part and took over a Mitsubishi dealership a few blocks away. Initially, things at the new Marin Mazda were rather chaotic, with frequent personnel changes, and the service experience wasn't the best. But I stuck with them over the years and I'm happy to report that they've really gotten their act together, and my experience there has continued to improve with each visit. Recently, I took my car in for an oil change and scheduled maintenance, and I'm quite pleased with how things went. My Service Advisor was Michael Vargas, who was a pleasure to work with and had the patience to answer all of my many questions. I also dealt with Oscar Menendez, another Service Advisor, and Mario in the parts department. Both were very helpful as well. Although I haven't done a formal price comparison with other shops in the area, I suspect that Marin Mazda isn't the cheapest place in Marin to get your Mazda serviced. However, they frequently post "service specials" on their website, which lower prices to a more reasonable level.

The service is top notch and I really appreciate the video the mechanic sends to my cell phone showing me what is going on under the hood and car. I also appreciate that he takes the time to explain everything so I understand.

Marin Mazda s service department is great. Dropping the car off is a seamless process. I usually wait for my car and they have comfortable waiting areas. The car is always ready before they say it will be. Truly a great experience.

Amazing service like I've never seen at any other dealership. Marin Mazda is the gold standard for customer service starting with the outstanding communication from check-in to time of car pick up. They even send video of the car getting serviced. Fili was our service manager. Highly recommend going out of your way to get your Mazda serviced at this location.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU CAN! We purchased our Mazda from this dealership in 2017, and prepaid our maintenance at $1,745. All was fine until the servicing -- my husband doesn't drive this vehicle much, so miles were low, very low for the first servicing and subsequent servicing after that. We had to fight them to use our prepaid maintenance...which was very maddening. Then, took it in for the 15,0000 miles and again we had to fight them to use our prepaid maintenance. We were also told that the navigating console needed repaired (we found out later that it didn't, but the service manager Mike was trying to rip us off which we found out later.) We took it in thinking it needed to be replaced and were told it was replaced by Mike, but it wasn't! We didn't find that out until we took it in last month for our 30,0000 mile servicing. They said a chip was missing and wanted to charge us $95 and $500 to replace the navigation console. My husband said that Mike replaced it last time and they said no it wasn't replaced. We said no to replacing it because Mike didn't do what he was supposed to do, but they still wanted the money! What! They then charged us $645 for this 30,000 servicing (which they barely did any service on it) which included $95 for the navigation chip -- oh, but they told my husband that they would reimburse him for that and made him pay for it first. When he picked up the vehicle after the servicing they said NOPE we are not reimbursing you. (They lied to him!) They are liars and con artists...we are putting a complaint into the California Bureau of Automotive repair about this dealership. WE ARE NEVER, EVER, EVER GOING BACK TO THESE PEOPLE. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! THEY ALSO PRICE GAUGE. STAY AWAY!Service: Auto maintenance

Mike and his team are absolutely amazing, fantastic, trustworthy, and genuine. Every time I bring my car in whether it be for a repair, scheduled maintenance, tire change, etc. it is always an incredibly enjoyable experience. Very happy with the service! It was our first time here with our new-ish Mazda. It was very easy to book an appointment on-line and add notes about the car. The service was great, the car runs like a charm. It was ready when they said it would be, plus the car was washed and vacuumed and looked brand new! With the available coupons on the their website, the charge was very reasonable. I recommend them highly.

I was a walk-in customer who didn't have an appointment. I live in the South Bay but was visiting the Larkspur area when I had some lights in my car come on. I asked them to check out these lights as well as do an oil change and tire rotation, and they were able to fit me in. They had an Uber drop me off at a nearby mall where I could do some holiday shopping while I waited. When the service was complete, they had an Uber pick me up and bring me back to the service center. All communication while I was away was conveniently over text. Plus they were able to look up all my warranty and maintenance information so I didn't have very much to pay; just for the nail repair for my tire. Overall very happy with their great customer service.

Just moved to Marin County and my Mazda CX-5 was due for service so I dropped it here for maintenance and smog check. Great service, honest people. They immediately pulled all the information about the car based on my VIN and applied the pre-paid maintenance plan (trust me, that was not my experience at every Mazda dealership I have visited, I had several experience were they either "omit" this part or even lie about your coverage). An invoice was printed upfront to show me what I would owe. They even cleaned the car and provided me with a Uber ride. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and I will be back (including when the time will come for me to replace my car). One thing to note: as it is to be expected for the bay area, the place is pretty small and the service took a few hours. Again, this is kind of standard around here - and if you have ever been to the Mazda dealership in San Francisco, it's minuscule and it can take up to 4 days (yes, DAYS) to be serviced - so I am not complaining. Space is expensive in the Bay...
