Fantastic, expert service. It s refreshing to be able to trust a company. Prices are very reasonable for the top quality work, speed and quality of service. I only wish I started going to them sooner for my Volkswagens!

I ve been taking my 2011 Audi A4 Quattro to Heynneman now for a while and I must say that their service is absolutely wonderful very knowledgeable very great pricing compared to the dealership. They do the job correctly with lots of experience in German cars. This is the shop for you if you have an Audi, BMW, Mercedes, or Porsche definitely would take to this shop for some work A++

I got a Mercedes Benz transmission replaced at a fair price. They inspected my car and made recommendations of other needed items. Very happy with the friendly service.

Paul was very pleasant to deal with to have my Mercedes e400 serviced there. They did a great job my car feels much better. I took my car to Paul instead of the dealer for the 50,000 mile service and my car feels like it did when I bought it. So I am very happy and have had no issues and think it was a fair deal. Thank you Paul and crew for taking care of me. Good job on my tune up.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

We were incredibly fortunate to find this wonderful diagnostic and repair shop. Not only was Paul and his team spot on with finding and fixing an issue with dated electronic parts regulating the engine, they also found other looming issues that could have led to severe breakdowns. As they proceeded, their communication skills and accountability was outstanding. They explained everything, patiently and thoroughly, Including what it would cost to fix this and how long it will take. Their estimates were spot on they finished slightly ahead of schedule. I cannot say enough positive things about these guys, their expertise, and the results.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

I have been going to Paul for almost a decade now for all service and repairs. The most recent (January 2023) was to replace the sagging headliner in my 2003 vehicle. The interior of the car looks brand new. It was a remarkable level of attention to detail and professional, high quality work. While I am very pleased, I am not at all surprised. This kind of work is exactly what I know to expect from Paul and his team. From engine to drivetrain to interior, the outcome of every visit has been outstanding. They stand behind their work and do a great job. Thank you!Services: Body & Trim, Oil change

The shop was supposed to check warrantied work, work they had already been paid to perform. There was a headlight warning on the dash that was intermittent and never resolved. When asked if I was happy with the service I replied no and asked if he would actually make it right. He said he would check it out. Instead they charged almost $500 to change a $13.00 light bulb. No estimate for the work, no phone confirmation that the charges were acceptable before proceeding. Just a bill to pay if you want your keys. I have given Mr. Heynnemann the opportunity to correct the situation. I await his response.

Bringing my car to Paul was one of THE best choices that I've ever made, seriously. I bought a 2014 BMW 535i in June of 2020 from a dealership in San Rafael and within 2 months it became problematic. From August 2020 to April 2021 my car was in the shop for various issues every. single. month; some months more than once. Every time that I'd drive I was constantly worried because issues kept arising seemingly out of the blue. Lets just say that this car became the bane of my existence for real! Then. . . a family friend suggested I take my car to Heynneman European. After the first time I talked to Paul I knew that I had finally landed in good hands. Though it took a bit of trial and error at first, Paul was able to accurately diagnose the issues with my car. He also priced everything out for me and told me which problems need to be fixed asap and which I could wait on (my budget was limited). Within a matter of days Paul and his technicians fixed all of the major issues! Prior to bringing my car to Heynneman European, I had taken it to 5 different mechanics and spent thousands of dollars, and none of the problems were fixed.Though I now live outside of Marin, I will continue being a customer here. Paul is super knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, and genuine. Aside from buying this car in the first place, my only regret is not going to Heynneman European sooner! FIVE STARS!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I am sure, depending on what type of car you have, that Heynneman's is the perfect place for you. You have that car, that needs custom, high-end, meticulous service. Paul is the nicest guy and *extremely* thorough. He is adamant about ONLY using the most high end parts etc. and doesn't compromise. I think he mentioned to me, my shop is the place you bring your car if you want it to run forever. But, i was stunned by the sticker price. My Audi Care ran out and I was looking for somewhere to bring it for an oil change. I was not doing the full service which they only do every 2 years, just the basic oil change. And I brought him the records from Audi outlining what was needed. The price was nearly $450. I was a bit speechless, but I always struggle with walking out of a place once the wheels are in motion. That is on me. That said, I know he used only the most high end parts and the best oil. I bet if you are a car collector this is your guy. For me, I can't afford this type of service long term and wish I would have asked more questions before I brought in the car.Service: Oil change

Beware. Overpriced, creepy service. I m traveling through this area and needed an oil change. I made assumptions about the products that would be used, expected BMW parts and got inexpensive after market things. I should have known better. That s how they make money. But $119.00 to tell me my tire was leaking seems outrageous. My usual service shop tells me things like that as a curtesy. More offensive than the price gouging was Paul s behavior. On the phone and in person he was unprofessional. He shared specific details of his life that had no place in my transaction with him. Creep alert! Women be warned.Service: Auto maintenance

I brought my 2013 BMW into the dealership and received a $8000 quote for a variety of issues that needed attention. I spoke with Paul Heynneman and he did the job for almost half the price even after finding other issues the dealership mechanic missed. Paul Heynneman is knowledgeable and fair. I will be bring my car back to him next time it is need of servicing.

Love the gang at Heynneman's! Always helpful, friendly and acomodating. Even in the early hours when you drop off your car they greet you with smiles and excellent service. I brought my Prius in for 145K scheduled service: The overall service and attention to detail was outstanding. This was the first time I brought the car to Heynneman's. They gave it a total evaluation to make sure nothing major was lurking. Highly recommended!

Our Smart Car was towed by AAA with a dead battery. They installed a new battery, and reported thin front brake lining. They relined the front brakes and reported old and worn tires. All 4 tires were replaced. These warnings were unreported by thedealership where the car was purchased. I'm grateful for the extra margin of car safetyHeynneman's inspections uncover. The car is performing well. I trust Heynneman'sfor their service, advice and excellent mechanical knowledge.

This shop does quality work. I've been taking my R32 there for years now, and have been happy ever since. Wouldn't trust it with anyone else. They only put quality parts on the car, and won't try to sell you on something that isn't needed. They'll go the extra mile to explain things, show you on the car, and show that they stand behind their word.Basically you'll leave their shop knowing you made the right choice.

Feeling like you are being treated fairly, honestly, and professionally is critical in working with anyone doing work on your vehcile. My safety and my family's safey depends on it. Paul gave me in depth explanations for the work that needed to be done, and provided me a good logistical schedule for it. I can't recomend Heynneman enough.

I have a mechanic in Petaluma I typically use but needed work done quickly within close proximity to work in Marin. I worked with Paul to replace the water pump on my '05 Passat. He reported back that it needed a lot more than that which he found out through being so thorough, even going through all my old service records. Makes sense as he said more than once from the get-go that he likes to 'do things right the first time'. My car also came back to me cleaner than I've seen it in months!Very friendly, accommodating, and upfront. You can't beat great work and customer service, a free loaner car, and cookies always out on the front desk.

This has been the worst commercial experience I've ever had in my life.I towed my car to this shop because it's close to where I live and they specialize in European cars.My car had 2 problems: it didn't hold idle and it had a check engine light. For reference my car is pretty old and it's market value is around 2k.With my car already at the shop I got a quote for diagnosing it of "up to" 580 USD. I accepted this quote because it would have been more expensive to tow the car somewhere else.A few hours later I received a phone call saying that they had spent already the time they quoted for and in order to diagnose the issue it would be "up to" 1000 USD.The next day I receive another call and the owner tells me that my car needs a lot of work including a new timing belt and the quote was 2.7k (remember I said before my car is work 2k), he assured me that this repair would fix BOTH of my issues. My response was that I had to think about it. The next day The owner called me again and I told him that I did not want to move forward with the repair, then he kindly reminded me that I still would owe him 1k for diagnosing the issues. I reconsidered the situation and for an increment of 1.7k I thought I made sense to fix the car.I paid my bill, took my car back and a few miles later the check engine light was on again. I took the car back to the shop and the owner quoted me for another repair worth 1.1KWait! didn't I pay 1k to diagnose the issues my car had in the first place? didn't the owner told be that they both would be fixed with the first repair?I obviously complained and he offered me a 50% discount on labor for this repair. This would bring the cost down to 800 USD. I shouldn't have but I approve the new quote.OK, next day, I pick up my car, the owner tells me that the issue is fixed for sure now because even though they had not charge me for diagnosing they verified that the component replaced did not work properly. After driving another 100 miles or so the check engine light came back on. At this point I had spent 3.5k on my car and it;s still not fixed.I brought my car back to the shop and the owner tells me its not a good time (admittedly it was a Friday at 4pm but still I don't think that's how you should treat a costumer you have failed to twice). The next week over the phone he quotes me another 600 dollars repair this same issue. I obviously did not accept. So at this point I have wasted 3.5k and still have a car that can't pass smog which means I can't sell it and I won't be able to drive it in a few months when I have to pass smog for the registration. This shop does not stand behind their repairs. If you charge a customer 1k for diagnosing this diagnose must be accurate and if it's not the shop should be liable for it.Also, I understand this is Marin and people can set their prices wherever they want but this shop is extremely expensive.Edit: It was not my intention to offend you in any possible way or damage your business, I'm sharing my experience so hopefully you can better help other costumers in the future.I will reiterate though, if you charge a costumer 1k for diagnosing and the diagnosis is wrong the shop should be liable for the mistake and not the costumer.I would like to add that the owner is a nice guy.
