I have worked with eSSa Studios for my many furniture upholstery needs for my home and business for the past 7 years. Ehsan and his team are very responsive and deliver amazing and beautiful work at a fair price, in a timely manner. My last job was for surgical operating room patient beds that needed reinforcement and recovering. I needed an impossible turnaround time and as always, Ehsan made the impossible... possible! The cushions look even better now than when they were brand new. I have referred colleagues and friends to eSSa and all have been very pleased and happy. Highly recommend!

Recommend without reservation! It was a pleasure to work with eSSa Studios. I have a Stickley prairie settle/sofa that needed to be reupholstered. At each and every step of the way, the professionalism and commitment of eSSa Studios was apparent. The communications, plans and production were done expertly. As for the finished product, we could not be more pleased! And, eSSa managed to do the work in a very short time frame. And, what a friendly group of folks! Thank you eSSa Studios!

I recently had three chair seats reupholstered by Ehsan Arefi who owns eSSa Studios. His work is impeccable and I'm pleased with the result. I easily got an estimate of the cost by sending him photos on line before I ever visited his place of business. My project was completed promptly. I highly recommend eSSa.

Ehsan is my go to for anything upholstery in the Bay. I first worked with him on a couch no one said they could fix. Ehsan came over and fixed the tear within 15 minutes. Then I had a much larger project for him with reupholstering a 11' x 11' couch in leather. I just got the couch back today and am absolutely in love with it. Ehsan came over multiple times to take a look at the project and address my needs and updated me throughout the entire process. Upholstery is time-consuming and costly, but the wonderful team of Ehsan and Gaia at eSSa Studios made it easy and affordable. Once a disaster, my vintage couch is now a comfortable and beautiful conversation piece. With his encyclopedic knowledge of fabrics and stellar workmanship, Ehsan is the best upholster in the Bay Area.

Ehsan was able to make this beautiful custom window seat for us. Even with him being busy he did it in a timely manner. Under the seats has plenty of storage which we already filled. We love the way the blue cushions match and pop and brighten up the room. We were really happy that he delivers and assembles everything. We def. recommend eSSa Studios for custom made furniture etc...

Ehsan helped us replace our West Elm couch seat cushions after having the couch for only a year! We were so confused how the cushions died so fast and Ehsan helped explain why the cushions lost their structure. They updated our cushions with high quality foam at a great price and in just a few days. We could not be happier with the work eSSa Studios did and would recommend them to anyone looking to update their furniture.

I am a returning client of 6 years. eSSa studios consistently delivers beautiful, and well built, pieces. We have an end table, built by Ehsan 5 years ago, that not only has endured children climbing and spilling on it but it still looks almost-new. I highly recommend this upholsterer. The leader of the business, Ehsan, is a highly skilled professional with a commitment to quality and an intuitive understanding of aesthetics. I brought him a complex project that involved recovering a chair with a very bold print. Ehsan was able to upholster my piece in a way that prevented the repeat in the fabric from becoming too obvious. He also repaired the cushioning in the seat and made it much more comfortable to sit on. I get more compliments on this chair than any other piece of furniture in my home and I always tell people, Go to eSSa and ask for Ehsan! Service: Furniture upholstery

I cannot speak highly enough of Ehsan s upholstery business. I contacted him about a project that I had delayed for too long, but was eager to complete. He responded so quickly, and we set up a meeting within the week. Ehsan came to the appointment with sample books of potential fabrics. He was sensitive to my budget constraints and we picked a beautiful stain resistant option. The project was completed quickly, and Ehsan delivered the cushions to our home. The craftsmanship was excellent. My 10 year old cushions looked absolutely brand new, and soooo incredibly beautiful. This was an instant upgrade to my living room. Ehsan's work is beautiful and it is such a pleasure to work with him.He made us a custom slipcovered piece and also completely reworked our old sofa - new arm shape, new cushions and slipcovers. Ehsan was patient, helpful and thoughtful throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond in all matters - taking the time to make sure the work was done just right, clarify even the smallest detail, and making pickup and delivery easy and convenient. Ehsan is one of the very best! He is incredibly communicative and was a joy to work with. Ehsan built and installed a custom window seat bench, and created a cushion and was able to offer hundreds of fabric choices. His work exceeded expectations! He also moved two outlets to the front of the bench. We vetted more than a dozen people for this job and Ehsan not only was the best to work with in executing what we wanted, but also proactively offering his creative input and expertise.

Working with Ehsan was a wonderful experience. My Wife and I bought a ready made dresser from him in addition to designing and having him build a beautiful walnut platform bed.The Design process was a dream. We had our ideas and he took them, made clear designs from them, modified them when we had some dislikes until our perfect bed was made. He delivered on time and installed the bed in our home.We are also working with him on other projects including upholstering some antique chairs and a custom coffee bar installation.I would absolutely recommend working with Ehsan.

Ehsan's work is amazing!Good quality , custom all the way .he will make whatever you want with many selection options for drawer faces and wood work.He is timely and a pleasure to work with .He made two custom sized nightstand for my master bedroom . Self closing drawers .I would recommend his work to anyone wanting something special or specifically sized .He rocks!

I brought Ehsan at eSSa Studios a vintage Norwegian Balans Chair to repair and reupholster, and he did such a great job that I brought him a second one! I now have two beautiful and comfortable chairs! They are even better than new because Ehsan used better materials than the factory originals.I highly recommend eSSa Studios!

I needed a new desk/work table with ample storage and also wanted to replace the contraption I d rigged to allow my dog to look out my bedroom window. For no more than I would have paid for good quality compromise pieces, Ehsan designed and built exactly what I wanted. The pieces are beautiful and have vastly improved the appearance of the room they re in. Furthermore, Ehsan was a pleasure to work with prompt, pleasant and professional. Ehsan was great to work with when designing custom pieces for a client's home in Belvedere. He was able to do what other artisans said was not possible, and the finished products were beautiful. Working with eSSa studios was a treat because Ehsan is both an artist and business person, which is an unusual combination that I appreciate very much.

Ehsan made our window seat cushion and it was fast and easy on our end. He worked with our carpenter to get the exact measurements, brought over fabric samples and had the cushion made in no time. From start to finish it was a great experience and I would definitely hire him again.

We called upon Ehsan to create an outdoor table for our balcony. Not only did he create an aesthetically beautiful table for the limited space, he also magically hid the air conditioning module. The materials Ehsan chose have withstood the weather and yet provide a lovely eye-catching piece of functional furniture. We can't wait to commission Ehsan to create some indoor pieces as well. Ehsan was a pleasure to work with from conception to installation. From a picture on the internet, he made the most gorgeous built-ins that fit the space perfectly. It truly transformed the space. We can't thank him enough for the time he spent with us going over the design and choosing the wood.
