I came to City Car Radio to get a JL Sub and Alpine amp installed, after Best Buy installers claimed they could not access the battery in my GLE Mercedes. A quick YouTube video showed how to access it, no problem. Juan quickly assured me they could do the job and offered me an appointment. The sub is now installed and sounds amazing!Initially, there was some engine sound that was audible through the sub. Juan and his team spent almost an extra day to find the reason for this at no extra charge, but because they stand by their quality of work.I highly recommend you consider City Car Radio, as this is the kind of shop that will go beyond the expected, and offer a personalized customer experience you would wish for, but becomes increasingly rare these days.Thank you to the team, and especially Juan!!!

OUTSTANDING!I brought my car stereo to be repaired after an issue with grounding. Not only did Juan and his team fix the problem competently and quickly (within an hour). In addition, my headlight lenses were fogged over. Juan went the extra mile and polished each lens to crystal clarity without charge! My thanks to Juan and the team!

Juan is an absolute pleasure to deal with. I have dealt with a few other audio installers and this is the best, hands down. We had a backup camera / bluetooth installed; the work was professionally done at a very fair price - I would highly recommend.

My girlfriend took her rav here and loved her service experience. Unrelated to her windows, they even cleaned the bugs off her hood! It s nice to know they actually take care for the job and customers. Will come back for my next car.

I bought my whole stereo here about a year and a half ago. I was having some trouble with the speakers and they took care of it the same day and didn't charge me anything. They do a great job and the owner is true to his word. I highly recommend them for the real bump in the trunk that you are looking for..... this is a follow up..Don't go anywhere else, most places I called had no time were all about the money. Juan wants to make sure his customers are happy, everytime I called he always said just bring it in. Juan is there early and works late. Antonio his installer is great and they have a great team. Save yourself a headache and deal with someone like Juan who cares about making you happy. Update my stereo stopped working right last week February 2024. I called Juan because I was down the street already, he got me in within an hour and only charged me for the part! Most other places would have brushed you off and made you make an appointment for at least a week later. Juan was busy but he makes sure his customers are satisfied. He is the best at after market and sell relationships. This place is very loyal to its customers!

Juan was amazing today! And quite literally saved the day. We had a brand new Mercedes that had been scratched up pretty bad and he was able to get all the scratches out returning it to better than show room finish. Customer service was top-notch, timely & highly recommended!

They installed my AutoVox-T9 rear view camera in my 91 GMC Suburban, on a Saturday! Very neat installation, replacing my rear view mirror, at a reasonable cost. I can now see what's directly behind me, within 2'. Very easy to deal with & friendly service. If I did the job myself, it would have taken all day; they did the job in a few hours perfectly, following manufactures installation directions. Having them do the installation was worth every penny.

Such excellent customer service, I was so impressed. Juan, the owner, could not have been more nice and was able to help fix the buttons to my side mirrors in about 30 minutes. Will most definitely return with any other issues that come up. Highly recommend!

Friendliness, most professional, hands down best car stereo installer in San Rafael. Juan and his crew have been here since 1989 and it s obvious why... his customer service and technical expertise is second to none. Highly recommend these guys if you re looking to install an aftermarket car stereo or speakers, subwoofer, etc. they also do detailing.

I had a bad experience going to Best Buy to buy speakers and get them installed. A 3 minute drive away was City Car Radio they offered good quality speakers that were actually compatible with my car and were able to install them right away. I thought I had wasted a 40 min trip up to San Rafael but they saved the day and now I have awesome speakers. Thanks guys. I highly recommend going here before anywhere else. They have decades of experience and are kind good people aired up my tires for me too.

So impressed. Called the day before and they could take me the next day. My speakers were busted and when we opened it up they showed me some replacement options but they said it was pretty expensive because my model had discontinued speakers. We found a creative solution to fix them online and they said it might not work but if I m down they d try it. Ended up working great and saved a lot of money. Thanks dudes!

Juan, the owner of Car City Radio and Air, is thorough, honest, and goes above and beyond. There was a water leak in my car, and it required him to do more work than anticipated. In addition to the extra work, he cleaned my car both inside and outside, yet he did not charge me more than we had initially agreed upon. Juan and his team did a wonderful job on my car! I broke my antenna fin, and he replaced it with an OEM part and detailed my car while it was there. The car looks gorgeous and they did a nice job replacing the fin. It's difficult because you have to practically take the car apart to install it, but my car looks almost new now and it's 7 years old! Juan is also a very nice person.He even gave me a loaner car because I live in Novato and the Uber rides would have been expensive. A true professional and gentleman. I will use them again and recommend to others.Service: Auto detailing

Juan and his team did a beautiful job detailing my SUV. It was in really bad condition with lots of scratches, paint damage and the interior needed a deep clean. They made my '98 SUV look shiny brand new. The cost was completely reasonable for the size of my car and for how long it took. Juan and his team were great-I took my wife s BMW X5 for a replacement radio and back-up camera. Car was done on time, no exposed wires or trim and at the cost they estimated. The guys spent 10 minutes with wife explaining everything and made sure to give me all the rebate paperwork. Great place!

I don't normally post reviews, but after the experience I had with Juan at City Car Radio I had to pay respect where it was due. These are the hardest working and most motivated people I have seen in the business. After getting my car back from my auto body with overspray, the shop sent me to drop the car off at City Car Radio and Air Inc. For a clay bar, Polish, and wax. I was frustrated going into the whole situation given what had happened with the body shop and the lack of care and detail that was given to my car, but after getting the car back from Juan I was happier than when I had purchased it new. The paint looked immaculate. And prior it had overspray, swirl marks and some more things. I mentioned a small stain in the carpet and he took care of it without any worry. He really treats you like family there. I will definitely be going back in the future for any detailing or audio needs. 10/10 would recommend. BTW the car was a Ford Focus RS with 9k miles on it. Will add photos later if possible.

Juan at City Car is extremely helpful and nice. My car had several issues going on and needed to go to another shop for a new starter. I live out of the area so I would have had to get it towed. Juan and his guys pushed my car to the other shop so I didnt have to pay for a tow. They did everything they could for me and I highly reccomend this shop to anyone!

City Car Radio is fantastic! I had such a great experience working with Juan. He was VERY friendly and knowledgeable and had great customer service skills and got my radio working perfectly. I could not recommend this place any higher. Thank you to the entire staff for being so wonderful!

I called to get an estimate for window tinting. Juan was so helpful and kind. He was able to instantly give me a quote over the phone and get me in the next day to have my windows tinted. I'm so happy with the incredible customer service and how perfect my windows came out. Thank you Juan!!

These guys cool and very knowledgeable, all th installers are friendly and smile, like there happy to be at work, don't see that at a lot of shops, owner allowed me to hear the sound in his personal vehicle, words can't describe how phenomenal the sounds was but it makes sense he's the owner. Helped me with harness for a radio and troubleshooted a issue with wiring, most places won't do that unless you spending crazy money with them, that was phenomenal I appreciated it more then he knew!

Juan the owner was professional from the first call. He installed my Sony XAV-AX8000 1DIN chassis 8.95 floating LCD screen with Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Media Receiver with Bluetooth and made my 1996 BMW Z3 Cherry Red Convertible come to life. Add on new JL speakers and now I can rock all day long top down.

I go here for regular service to a system in my car. Everyone is kind and does a good job, they are consistently phenomenal. The manager went above and beyond for me today and took the time to do a great job. This place will definitely be the one I go to for any other auto or audio services I need.

I went here hoping to get a new radio for my 2015 MDX as my phone and radio wouldn't pair. After a free consultation, they were able to diagnose the problem and help me out! I was so happy and pleased with them! Great work and can't recommend them enough!

i had brought my 2017 WRX to Juan cause the stereo from the factory was the worst thing you'd have ever heard in your life. he installed a 4 Chanel amp and link8 EQ high / low level adapter and brought my car to where it should be. They have the most friendly and amazing staff members. i WOULD RECOMMEND them all day A+++++++++++
