You guys are awesome. Had a screw in Tesla Model 3 Tire. And you patched it perfectly. Tesla corte Madera wouldn't repair it, but I knew you could because I had a tire repaired last year. Highly recommend!!

A tire in my car was about to burst. The manager was under a lot of pressure but he did everything possible and gave me an appointment immediately to make the change of tires in my car although he had no time or staff at that time since someone had not shown up for work he was very friendly very helpful and attentive in addition that it was the cheapest place of all the places in San Rafael I left there within an hour. I will definitely be back there the next time it is necessary. I highly recommend it. Best place thank you!!

Excellent service. I was tire shopping this weekend and I went to three different places. I was getting wait times up to 6 hours. I called big o tires San Rafael they gave me an appointment and were able to get me in and out in less than an hour. Eric at the desk was amazing. He is genuine and honest. You can tell he really enjoys helping customers and does what s right for them. The two guys who were installing the tires and doing the alignment were really nice. Don t waste your time calling other tire shops this is the place to come.

They destroyed my engine and replaced it with the wrong model--do not trust their work!I took my Kia here for a simple oil change. They failed to properly secure the oil pan when they were finished. Hours later, the oil pan completely fell off while I was on the freeway. The engine seized up, causing me to lose the power brakes and steering while traveling at highway speeds, and I was just lucky that there weren't many other cars around, or there might have been a serious accident. When I managed to stop, the engine was smoking and didn't have a drop of oil in it.I had it towed back to Big O; the next day, they replaced the oil & pan, then determined that the motor was blown and needed to be replaced. They kept my car for a week or so while they located an engine and installed it. I was told that an appropriate, used replacement engine "with the same specs" had been installed but no description of this engine was provided to me.After the oil change went so badly, I didn't trust their work so I took the car to the dealership to have some Kia specialists inspect it. They found that the installed engine was not a 1:1 replacement as I had been led to believe. I was given an engine with dual variable valve timing even though my previous engine was single. It's still unclear whether this discrepancy will cause mechanical problems, or whether the unconnected hookups, left exposed, will also cause issues.Big O made no effort to explain this change to me; in fact they actively hid it from me by lying about the engine being "the same" and refusing to give me any paperwork about it. I had to go to the Kia dealership (and pay $$$) in order to learn what was ACTUALLY done to my car. This makes me think that Big O management knows it will be a problem, and they hoped that if they didn't say anything, I wouldn't notice what they had done.This situation has dragged on for over a month, and the most I have been able to get out of Big O is a screenshot of a partial Carfax report on the VIN from which the used engine was taken. I would assume that some documentation on the engine and its mileage would be a standard part of the transaction when they purchased it from the seller. The fact that Big O has refused to provide such documentation suggests that they don't have it-- either they failed to record it and don't want to admit it, or they got the engine from some chop shop to minimize the cost of fixing their screwup. Whatever the reason, now I'm left with a car with no resale value, since it has the wrong engine AND no real proof of the engine's background.Photos show the new engine's wiring that has nothing in my car to connect to and is left exposed, and the sloppy application of sealant. Also, a bonus photo: the absolute mess of a welding job that they did as a "courtesy." Big O should be completely embarrassed by letting this poor caliber of work leave their garage, and their customer service is a joke given the way they have treated me-- especially after their initial screwup could have gotten me (and my passenger) killed! I have previously had good experiences with other Big O locations, but will not be giving this company any more of my business after the way I've been treated.

Friendly and prompt service, clean lobby and restrooms. My oil change and tire rotation were done faster than promised.Update 9-20-23 You're welcome, I was really impressed with your shop. The only thing more I could ask is for you to send me a burrito from that great little Taqueria around the corner!

If I could give six stars, I would! Eric was the absolute best, took care of my tire problem in no time and was extremely friendly! Hopefully you don t get a tire problem, but if you do, come here bonafide excellent service and customer care.

I was kind of shocked at how good Big O Tires is. We came in at 5:30 and we were helped immediately by Tim. He walked us through various price points for tires. We chose the cheapest ones guaranteed for 39k miles, an alignment, and an oil change. All together with tax and out the door it was $800. I was surprised at how good they were at everything. I was notified by the text about my cars progress. At this location I walked to the grocery store nearby and had a taco. I liked Tim and his positive attitude. Great job!

Thank you. I am very happy with customer service. Very pleased with price range options. I got tires that needed ordering, and made an appointment for service. The service department completed the work expeditiously and completed the job in less than the estimated time. I would recommend the opportunity for my friends to shop Big O Tire. Thanks again.

This is a perfect location for someone leaving Marin County heading East on the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. My tire pressure light was glowing on the dashboard. A tech greeted me immediately, checked tire pressures all around and gave thumbs up for me to cross the bridge. He said get it checked again soon and if the pressure is low, then have someone check the tires for a leak. Otherwise, I was good to go. Wow! Great fast service. No charge.

While out of town, my low tire pressure light came on, so I drove to the nearest big O tire in San Rafael. Don was able to get me in and out without an appointment. I was very appreciative of the excellent service!

Never coming here. I walk in with the most rudest pretentious workers. If you want to feel ignored and disregaded you came to the right place, they looked at me as if they never wanted to help me on the first place. They are plenty of places around this area in San Rafael to get your car done without the god awful staff running this place. I wish I never came here with my car because I used to respect this place before now. Anyone reviewing this place is a bot. Not real. Because there is no way their experience reflected the horrendous disrespectful one I had to go through.

I managed to pick up a nail in one of my tires. I arrived at the store early on Saturday morning. I was able to have the tire repaired quickly considering I didn't have an appointment.

I went in for an alignment. When I left and was driving home, I realized that my car felt no different. I then went and looked over the paperwork they gave me. It was at this point that I noticed that my alignment was worse off after they put it on the machine then before. I called and rescheduled for the following day. After going back the next day to get it redone I was refused service by the manager because I had a service dog. After calling corporate and filing a complaint twice I was called back by the owner of this location. Mike was very courteous and polite. We agreed that I would come see him the following Wednesday to have my alignment looked over again. My alignment was readjusted. I am currently going to drive my car for a couple days before finishing this review. I can't say thus far I am happy with how everything has been handled. I will follow up in a couple days.Current update. After filing a lawsuit for discrimination The owner has made false accusations stating use of hostile and discriminatory language towards said manager on the basis of him being African American. That's funny because I prefer to date black girls. He's also claiming that my dog was hostile and aggressive towards another patrons dog. I will provide a link below to the video that I took during my second visit substantiating my claims.

Maybe their tires are good but these guys need to look up proper US Flag etiquette. The flag they are flying should be on a pole that is at least 50'. The proper size flag for their pole should be 4x6 - 5x8.<edit>No need for anyone to reach out to anybody. Your solution can be found under proper US Flag Etiquette

I was a walk-in with a flat tire to be repaired so it could've been a difficult day but Marvin fit my car into the schedule. He was a pleasure to work with and made me feel my car was in good hands. Courteous, knowledgeable and kept everything/everyone moving! Thanks! I'll be back ;) Diane H

Love this place. New to this town. Found the place I ll be bringing all my vehicles to. Where do I start with the staff 1st. Awesome & friendly staff. They take pride in cleanliness parking lot & inside. Bathroom was clean as well. Definitely told other friends to bring they vehicles to this San Rafael location Big O. Awesome crew From Donald & staffing. This place does it all oil brakes tires.

Was traveling and needed to get an oil change. Searched Groupon and found a deal for Big O Tires. They got me in right away and did a quality job. They were energetic and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend anyone who lives in this area to come to this shop.

Say NO to BIG 0! I was expecting a price increase from the price quoted for 4 tires. I am a realist and expecting a few shenanigans, but I wasn't expecting them to break my car ($400 more than the $400 paid) and refuse to fix it.The Big 0 in San Rafael broke the air intake valve on my car and refused to fix it. I tried to immediately alert them (I drove one block and returned) but the manager was too busy trying to fix a paper jam to help the person standing in front of the desk. This went on for 25 minutes. At 4:30pm the paper jam still wasn't cleared and I lost trust anything would be fixed that day. The manager was actively ignoring me.My partner returned the car next morning and was told. The engine light coming on immediately after their air filter "fix" was a coincidence. They dared us to take it to another mechanic and Big 0 would pay if it was their fault. WE DID! The fabulous mechanics at Earthling Automotive proved something was dropped (an accident probably) into the part and it needed replaced. Cost us another 400 dollars to replace.We returned to BIG 0 only to be told that because we drove off, they would not pay. #WHAT?! Great way to avoid any responsibility! I should have listened to the two customers before me who were complaining they were overcharged. How is this establishment still doing business? Say NO to BIG 0

Great customer service from Don. I was in and out with a flat tire and tire rotation at no charge. I bought my tires at a different Big O Tire location but this location still honored the lifetime services.
