Trustworthy. If I had to describe J&M Auto Repair in one word, it would be Trustworthy. Every time I've gone to them for help, it was for something that I thought was a major issue that would put my car out of commission for good. But no matter what the issue was, the family at J&M remained calm, cool, and collected. They're experienced and confident in their craft, and that goes a long way toward putting my mind at ease. These guys are extremely kind, knowledgeable, and above all, honest with their rates. I've been to several mechanics all over the Bay Area, but this is the first shop that I feel truly deserves five stars.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Brake service & repair

Best car mechanic in town! I ve been going with Jose & Lex for years. Always tells me from the start what I m getting into, fair prices, great customer service, my truck always come out good as new! Jose and Marlene are the bomb. Once I found integrity, honesty and timely repairs at a fair price, I knew I found my to go to repairshop. The shop does not offer drop-off or pickup service so you will have to arrange that yourself. Just knowing when you leave the shop that your vehicle was repaired correctly is a great satisfaction. The shop entrance is from the back, although they have a front door.

Love them, friendly people, honest. I take my car there so does my boss and our business vehicle. The owner is Jose and his wife and son work there as well. It is a busy place but he will make room for you. He answers questions with out making you feel dumb or waisting his time. Check them out,it will be worth your time.

Jose & his team are the best. They are skilled technicians who are profesional, honest and friendly. I got my 06 Toyota Corolla oil change, breaks, and Alinement fixed here. I recommend them to anyone who needs a auto repair in Richmond or any other city that is close by.

So I took my car in for a bad A/C it was blowing hot air. From the beginning I told them my car had gotten an A/C recharge and it didn't work. So I dropped off my car at their shop. After 6 hours I go pick up the car and they tell me that all it needed was an A/C recharge and charged me $100 for that and along with recover refrigerant. The first couple of days the a/c was working O.K but after the third day it gradually started blowing hot air again. So as a result I called them again they said to bring the car in again the following morning, which i did. I drop it off at 9am. After 7 hours no one called me back to give me an update on the car and it was passed 4pm. So I reached out to them and they told me that they couldn't get to my car because they couldn't get to some machine they needed to use for the A/C and to bring it in AGAIN tomorrow. I find this very unprofessional they should have communicated the situation to me earlier and instead I waited 7 hours for the car with no work being done to it. The problem I have is no communication and ignoring the fact that an A/C recharge was already performed which they did anyway and charged me for it. Not to mention I was the one to call them and ask them about the status of my car. I'm very disappointed this happened no communication whatsoever wasted my time and money going there.

I love J&M auto repair!! ITS A FAMILY OWNED, LOCAL BUSINESS. The only drawback is that very fact, they can only do so many cars at a time. They do their very best to accommodate their customers... so far all of our dealings with J&M have been satisfactory.

J&M Auto Repair has been doing car repairs for me since 2011. They are reasonable and good at what they do. They are honest and friendly. I would definitely recommend J&M Auto Repair to anyone that's looking for a really good Auto Repair Shop.

I had to have the ignition coils on my Lexus LS 460 replaced, after trying everything else for months and was bracing myself for the repair cost after dealer quoted close to $4000. J&M Auto Repair fit me in their schedule right away and had it ready for pick up the next day for about 900 bucks! Annoying check engine light now gone... Jose is the truth!

I had my motor mounts replaced & they left it unprofessionally done. The left the tube tuck away instead of putting where it was suppose to. I had to go to another auto shop to find what they did wrong. They lied & said all wat fine. They caused much months of distress, bad staff teaming up with lies & changed for correction & I was close to taking them all to court with all my documents.

Great mechanic. Family run business. Honest. Will not try to talk you into extra un needed work. Less expensive than other auto shops. Just go check out the location. Ask questions and see for your self. I wouldn't leave my car. Just now your stuff mechanics are tricky always ask what they do and to show you parts that where replaced and ask for the parts if your like me. Just educate yourself

They are usually pretty crowded and the parking isn't the best. But they do seem to get you in and out quickly.

Jose gives the best prices,I had to put a clutch on my ride they beat the nearest competitors by $300 dollars for the job.

They steal parts on your car and they have a scam going on with buying cars on the side from the auction and taking parts from your car to place on their cars and charge you for parts and services. Please this is a warning . Do not go here .
