Super quick and efficient. Total price was $40 all in with the coupon, which is about as cheap as it gets. Took me less than 10 mins in and out. Great service. Couldn t recommend highly enough.

They were kind enough to accept my walk in service request on Saturday morning.Both Amy and Justin are just amazing, and know exactly how to serve their customers with unmatched quality experience. Was waiting for a while at another smog check place with no indication I'd be served any time soon. Gave this place a call and they squeezed me in immediately with no appointment. They honored their online coupon price before I could even finish saying, "I have a cou...." While I completed the paperwork in the comfortable waiting room, Justin did the smog check and even pulled my car around for me so I wouldn't have to reverse out. Quick, kind, and professional service that's fairly priced; you can't ask for much more.

Highly recommend getting your smog check done here. They are super helpful and friendly and gave me the online coupon. They answered the phone promptly and were able to fit me in same day for a smog check.

I call this morning make an appointment at2:00 and go there exactly at 2:00, Justin so nice and very quick does the job. When I use my credit card pay, he said chip card only and hand-input my credit card info, he tell me not okay so I went home got cash and return paid him, but when I check my mobile phone I get the text msg my card does charge d 40 dollars so I called back, Justin so nice said let me several days to see if it charged my card, if yes he will refund my 40 dollars cash.21 Jan super honest owner and super level service.

Got lucky, no one in front of me, got out in less than 20 min. Friendly couple. Note that their web site has coupon for $32 so $40 with certificate.

A+ all around! Very easy and affordable. I made an appointment to be safe but they take walk ins too. $40 total can t beat that! and I forgot to bring up the online coupon but he applied it automatically. The parking lot is cramped but there was an open spot right at the door, and there s a very comfortable little waiting area.I went here maybe 4 years ago when it was under a different owner and the guy was very grumpy, but both the guys here were super easy to work with, pleasant, and helpful. Honestly, the whole smog process tends to stress me out and I procrastinate and it s a whole thing, but if these guys stick around I would say those days are over!

I m a returning customer at Star Smog Central. The owner Justin is great and his staff as well. I made an Appt for 12 on a Saturday and arrived early. Had to wait a little bit but no biggie. Glad I went in early. Got the job done painless and good value. Super quick and I HIGHLY recommend this place in San Mateo. Thanks again Justin, God Bless.

I made an appt. to have my car smogged here. Appears to be a 1-man operation in a facility that shares an entrance and parking with other establishments. Despite being backed up, Justin hustled and got me on my way in about 25 minutes. Great work!

I called them before coming over and received a quick smog inspection without any wait. Good service. Deducting a couple of stars due to their pricing. Initially I was offered a price of $80, and I had to bring up that their website showed the total price to be $40. They said they can do that since I had the online coupon. 50% off is a bit much for a coupon. I could see that everyone else was offered the $80 price on arrival, and they'd pay double the price only because they hadn't happened to visit their website.Owners please avoid such pricing practices which prey on the uninformed/technologically illiterate. I'd much rather pay a flat $60 for everyone with no such coupons, than give my business to a place with such practices. Apologies for the unsolicited advice without having much detail about your business.

I would give them more than 5 stars.Friendly, knowledgeable and safe. Took less than 15 minutes. Honored their coupon with no issues. Taking my other car there next week. I took my first car to another shop, smog4less, on El Camino in San Mateo which was horrible. This is the place to go!

Quick and easy process. Made an appointment over the phone for the next morning. They mentioned the discount from their website before I asked. 10 mins wait and it's done. Smog update reflected on the DMV website the next day. Will come back again.

I wanted to give a big thank you to Justin and his associate for another excellent experience at their shop. I have been coming here for years and what a positive difference from the previous ownership. Anyone who used this location ( San Mateo Express Smog) in years prior was subjected to "Mr Cranky" and what a relief to have Justin as the new business owner of Smog Central.This was the third time I have used them for my few vehicles since Justin purchased the business and each interaction has been a pleasure. Each time I received consistent professional, courteous & friendly treatment in a timely manner. Smog Central makes it easy and comfortable to get a Smog and I certainly recommend their shop.
