Highly recommend Wally and his team. I go to Norfolk Auto Services from SF because they re trustworthy, explain with great detail, and never give you hidden/false info. His car advice is always welcome and straight to the point. I don t ever spend more than an hour here. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Got an oil change here, reasonable price, very quick service, also did a through free basic check on tires, brakes, fluid, etc. And the way they speak with customer is very polite and professional , glad I found this hidden gem shop.

Wally was great! Very honest and gave a detailed breakdown of the service performed and the costs. Also they changed engine oil, tire rotation and transmission service in like 40 mins! Great service and prices!

Wally provides a really honest service, which is an extremely rare thing in the area! Initially, I went to the official Honda dealer for a minor safety recall and a simple oil change, but they tried to upsell me multiple services for $700 before even seeing the car. I've kept tracking which services my car needed, so I rejected all that. During the service, I got a call from them that the brake pads were worn off (front 2mm and rear 4mm) and needed to be replaced for another $700-ish with a $100-ish discount. Fortunately, I thought that it was too expensive and decided to shop around. I chose Norfolk Auto Service for the job, and Wally and a partner checked the brake pad conditions FOR FREE and found out that the front had 40% life left and the rear had 70%, so I didn't need to change the pads, and THE OFFICIAL HONDA DEALER JUST TRIED TO SCAM ME. So I would strongly recommend Norfolk Auto Services as an honest car service!Service: Auto brake replacement

Got an oil change here it was excellent, fast, no-nonsense service for a fair price (the lowest estimate among 6 locations I called). They included a basic multipoint safety inspection and didn't try to upsell anything. On top of all that, the owner has two AE86's out front in perfect condition if you know, you know!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Came here a few times for an oil change and to have my car s water pump replaced.Wally gets straight to the point no frills or BS.I had some concerns about my car one time and after he took a quick look, he advised me on what to do. He definitely gave me the feeling that he was looking out for you.100% trust and recommend.

I needed an oil change after a long road trip and came across Norfolk Auto Service on Google. They were well reviewed so I decided to stop by.The service was fantastic. I loved this place due to reasonable prices, transparency, and technical skill. Wally quoted me $75 for an oil change which was $55 less than arco on hillsdale. He also fixed a squealing serpentine belt that both arco and pep boys said they couldn't fix except by replacing it.

Have been here several times for battery replacement and oil change since I moved to bay. Very efficient service. The owner explains things clearly! They do smog check too. All service are charged at very reasonable price.

Extremely honest and efficient service. I always ask if this or that (e.g. tire rotation) is needed, and the owner always responds with I ll check and let you know. He always comes back with a precise % remaining life of the part and tells me service won t be needed until it drops below a certain threshold. The level of integrity is incredible and probably very hard to find in any service industry.

Wally is a very good and honest mechanic and a solid guy. I've gone to him with multiple issues with my vehicles in the last two years and he is always fast and reliable. If you are like me and don't know anything about cars, taking your car into the shop can make you feel vulnerable to being taken advantage of. The people at Norfolk are very trustworthy. I never worry that I'll be mislead or over charged.

Wally is fantastic! There is a reason he has such a great rating. He is honest, fair, and patient. I first came to him to fix my brakes after my boyfriend had a great experience. He identified the problem and explained what he recommended and why, and there was no commitment until he gave me a cost estimate. It turns out my brakes needed more work than I realized, but he got the job done quickly. A few weeks later I started hearing a strange noise coming from my car when turning. I immediately brought it into Wally and he looked at it right away. A bolt on my front axle was loose and not locked. He thoroughly explained and showed me the problem, quickly tightened and locked the bolt, and sent me on my merry way without even charging me! On top of his honest work, he managed to squeeze me in that day for both of my problems. I will keep coming back to Norfolk Auto Services for all of my car needs.

These guys are awesome. I booked an oil change and tire rotation for the next day and they told me it would take 45 minutes. I was in and out in under 30. They seem exceptionally trustworthy and charge a fair price for the service. I will be coming back and would highly recommend!

Used their service after car door window was smashed during a theft in SF. So glad to have found this shop. Great service, fast, friendly, reasonable pricing and Wally took the time to vacuum all of the glass shards inside the car. So grateful to have found their auto shop down the street and will be returning for all future vehicle maintenance.

Absolutely fantastic service from Wally and Steven. They diagnosed and fixed a breakage in my car s plastic underbody and refused to take any money despite it being an involved procedure. Will definitely be coming again and wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. Really honest mechanics.

Wally is a great guy who is honest and does quality work. I was able to schedule an oil change and he got me in same day. He also isn't pushy with recommending additional services and is very reasonably priced. Will definitely return for future car service.

Wally (and apologize for not knowing the other guys name as they are not big talkers ) has checked my car several times and immediately knows what to do and what is wrong. He has figured things out a couple of times including something that was draining my battery and recharged it at no cost to me. When he was doing some cylinder work after a check engine light he said he wouldn t charge any labor if I would just pay for the price of new spark plugs because they are hard to get to and they were the original spark plugs from 20 years ago so I told him of course go for it! Very efficient, on time very fast. I feel blessed to know about him and that is just down the street!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Wally and his team are great mechanics. I go here all the time to get maintenance done on my Mazda Miata. They always inspect the car very carefully anytime they work on it, and they often find issues that other shops don't even notice.They have some of the lowest rates in the Peninsula, and they are still very high quality. For some jobs, they charge as a little as 60% of what other shops charge.I'm also impressed by their integrity. When they couldn't finish a timing belt job on my Lexus, Wally insisted that I shouldn't have to pay anything even though it was a 4-hour job. He even gave some tips on where to find cheaper replacement parts.

fast, friendly, reliable! second time coming here for a smog test, and very happy with the service. the setup a same day appointment and only took about 30 min to get it done. when i went to pay, the owner explained the next steps i need to do to take care of my registration which was very helpful. highly recommend, and I'll come back to these guys next time I need service for my vw!

I had a rusted license plate bolt so I couldn't take my plate down and my out-of-state license plate is about to expire. I went to the dealer and an auto body shop and they don't really wanna give it a serious try. I then quoted on Yelp and someplace ask for $100+. Given all the excellent reviews here and it's pretty close to my apartment, I decided to take my car to them and give it a shot. Wally was able to quickly fix it under a few minutes and he charged me nothing! I'll definitely take my car to him for future needs!

You can come here for more than just oil changes. I had a shopping list of services that needed to be done on my G37. He showed me pictures of the work and showed me the old parts that I asked him to replace, which made me feel comfortable as a first time customer. I initially asked him to replace the leaky hoses, but he explained to me that they are new and just needed to be tightened. I saved a lot of money here and my car is running noticeably smoother.

First went to another repair shop to fix things, had bad experience, then wen to Wally for help. Wally is awesome, explained what's the problem, which gained my trust easily. He quoted much less than dealership and a little bit less than other independent shop(all of them use OEM parts for the break pads and rotors). Told me pick up my car around 3pm, actually finished the work one hour than that. It was Sat, man. This is the serious business, honest, fair price and save customer lots of time.Best experience ever, will bring all of my car to here for future issue. Recommend to all people in bay area who want to save money and time.
